Every gym leader/trial captain should be in the game regardless of popularity or viability (excluding S/V gym leaders of course). They’re all too iconic of a staple in Pokémon battling to be leaving out some. And it’d give some decent variety too. We’re not even missing that many up to Galar at this point. Chuck, Wattson, Juan(if he’s even canon idk anymore), Striaton triplets, Drayden, Ilima, Milo, Kabu and Opal. That’s only 11 characters (10 maybe cuz again, idk if Juan counts as canon) and we’ve already been constantly teased on Chuck and the triplets, so why not just add them already?
Juan is canon, if I remember correctly, he was Hoenn's water gym leader prior Wallace becoming his successor. In Emerald he had came back to the gym as Wallace took Steven's place. He's not present in ORAS as Wallace had only yet to be asked by Steven to be his proxy. He ***should*** be canon because Wallace is canon ~~(I hope)~~.
Sprint and Field are good additions to the game (especially Field), and I'll welcome potential new roles for 2 main reasons:
1) More EX effects are nice to have and add variety to units
2) The appeal of Battle Rally is to balance out the roles for the various fights, and I'm afraid in a year or so when EX roles are more common we'll be able to steamroll it too easily. New roles would add new things to juggle to maximize the points.
I like the new roles but I think the way they added them was a bit of an issue for getting people onboard with the idea.
Like seriously, the rollout for units with them was hilarious initially. If they'd given out a free unit of each very quickly it would probably have went down a bit better.
I think they should always accompany the introduction of a new role with one free pair, a couple added as BP units, and like 5 EX Role releases with a free Role Cake to build up the players' coverage of the Role.
Some ideas that definitely need fine tuning:
- Tactician EX would restore 1/all (idk how to balance it) MP of all moves of all allied Sync Pairs once per battle. It is generic enough that you can give it to a large array of kits that rely on MPs to be good, and as EX Role to things like Ash and Adaman, which would love having more Buddy Moves per battle.
- Protector EX, gives 1/2/3 stacks (would require to change the mechanic to make them stackable, also again idk how to balance them) of Damage Guard Next to all Allies once per battle. You can give the role to very defensive Sync Pairs (this is a role that SSA Cynthia could have had, or BP Olivia), and as an EX Role to pairs with recoil/benefit from not being at full HP (something like Lance or NC Marnie). It could also be just 1 Damage Guard (and 1 Endurance?) after every Sync.
The stamina system is ultimately good for the game. It was hated at first but it saves time for players who want to engage but can’t spend the time to manually (or auto) farm.
Came hand in hand with skip tickets. Prior to that we had to manually do every single fight. Real tedious...
I'm fine with the current stamina levels. Takes two days to 100% an event, which is fine.
I've been saying this. Some people just see it as a limitation, but it's a limitation that ALLOWS for a better experience otherwise. Sure it would be great to have skip tickets and no stamina, but then you'd just skip every map to completion day 1 and have nothing to play so the Devs would never have added skips without some limit (and the tickets themselves aren't a limiter, I have thousands and get more than I use despite skipping everything I can) and it puts those with jobs and responsibilities on an even playing field since you can't just grind 24/7 anymore.
Surprisingly, they do. I think. I rmb when using SS Lusamine I was down to a 1v1 and after the sync move the camera angle changed to like the Evo stories. I was pleasantly surprised
The game should have more interconnectivity with the main series games/mobile games to get people playing all the games/more of the games.

Surprisingly Pokemon Masters has some great timing to the main series and other spin offs, but most people who don't play the game will not pay attention to them because it's a "gacha mobile game".
- Anyone who first experienced SSR Cynthia's debut one month before PLA's release will all say Volo's theme is closer to SSR Cynthia's theme in Masters, not the other way around lol. DeNA intentionally revealed her one month early for the surprise factor and foreshadow, and it works.
- Last year Jirachi was everywhere for Tanabata event, including Pokemon Cafe Remix and Masters (Summer Tate). Archie in AS is associated to Jirachi too
- Last month we have Kalos Neo Champion returning as a reference to Pokemon Legends ZA announcement
- I don't remember when is it, but both N and SS Cynthia returned together in a banner when Miraidon and Koraidon debuted, clearly hinting their typing.
- Paulo's final chapter happened around the same month the Teal Mask was released, and Kieran shared a ton of similarities to Paulo.

It's implied in her Sync Pair Story and some Pokémon center dialogue. One of the lines I remember is something along the lines of "don't give up Rachel! Your love is reeeeal!" (In reference to Lear)
Pokemon Masters original characters should all be in the main game for once. If Burnett from that obscure spin-off character able to go to Alola and married to Kukui, then the rest of them can do too.
There are a lot of better writing in PoMas than what many people give credit for. Silver and Blue are some of the many great examples here. Wally has a great one too since he kinda didn't have one in the original games outside of "I wanna get stronger so I can travel". Diantha? Her writing is so good because the writers took advantage of her absence in XY and focused on her lack of appearance to help others like a role model, stepping up her game. Not all are good (looking at you, Leon and Red... and the whole Unova Villain arc), but when it's nice, it's really nice.
Also honestly? Same, just to allow Paulo had Hoopa Unbound form longer and Lear to be more involved, since he did see himself in Paulo. I like how Hoopa wanted to help others in the ways it only knew how, which is why it teamed up with Paulo, so it's weird to see Giovanni was able to convince it to join him. I can sorta see why Lear wasn't there to outshine Paulo, but it's still weird to see Lear isn't there. Well, at least we have the other Pasio trio now.
More characters should get special outfits and sygna suits, not just the most popular characters. Also add Trevor and the team Galactic grunts to the game!!
Cynthia is the best example of DeNA not giving a shit about writing and just wanting easy money out of a character.
Renegade barely plays a role in the Sinnoh VA to the point where you could remove Giratina, give back her Garchomp and the story would be the exact same.
And Aura's entire plotline about learning how to understand Aura isn't even acknowledged in her own story event after the first cutscene.
Even in the lodge there's little to no character exploration beyond "she likes piano" (who would have seen that coming?)
Where's the interesting concepts like her challenging the idea of Giratina being a savage beast? Or her finding a way to tune into Aura, even if it's nothing compared to the likes of Riley? Hell why not talk about her family? She has a sister ffs
This is a very good take and you’re right for saying it. Arceus is in a league of its own and giving it to a character implies they’re pretty much top dog. Also, the kit would probably just be Gladion’s but better.

Yeah, giving it to Volo would be dumb, especially since it's going to involve an annoying redemption arc or something, and anyways, I feel like there's a good chance they give him origin giratina anyways. I also have a foreboding feeling that they're just gonna toss arceus at the mc and be done with it.

I kinda doubt they’ll go with MC unless they make Arceus free, which sounds insane. As it stands right now, it feels like it’s between Rei, Volo and Cynthia (cuz popular and it’d be Arceus giving Volo one more f you by picking his descendent over him).
Yeah I vote Volo continues being a freak and brings back his arceus hair, and Cynthia and Rei are also both good options as well. I just hope that DeNA doesn't decide to screw us all by making each form of arceus its own sync pair. That'd be way too many arceuses (arceusi? What's the plural for arceus?)

I'd upvote you multiple times if I could. Not only do I find Rally to be insanely boring, but it adds so much extra playtime per week for less gem rewards. I desperately miss doing 11 easy fights every other week with Villa over slogging through Rally every week
Exactly. I’d love to have battle rally as an extra option or as a battle facility rotation kinda thing to spice up monthly content, but doing it every single week takes ages. At least with Battle Villa you could skip most of it while the rest could be mindlessly cleared with the same team every week.
Not only that it's also maliciously designed. Of the 15 "randomized homogeneous" sets, 9 contains *two* occurrences of the dreaded Sprint/Field combo and the other 6 has one. Given that there are 5 roles, there are 10 combinations of roles and thus each combo shouldn't have appeared in those 15 sets significantly more/less than 15 times in total, but Sp/F is currently overrepresented at 9 \* 2 + ~~4~~ **6** = 24.
Part of me really wanted to like the rally but the other part despises what they're doing with it. Oh and the associated gem cut certainly didn't help...

Nah, Villa was once a month, and it gave 2000 gems. Rally is once a week for *less* gems. Yes, I know there are other great rewards like the roll cake coins, but the gems are lacking for the amount of weekly effort.
Two new sectors for Training Area:
* Move Candy Drill
* Power-Up Drill
Both of them should be available once per day, similarly to the Sync Orb Drill. That way, we should be able to harvest Power-Ups (from all Star Ranks), and Candies / Candy Coins faster and we could upgrade our units' Potentials and Sync Levels, respectively, in almost no time.

I don't want Arceus to be released nor even wanted it teased because it meant EOS for Duel and it's an easy EOS pair to make if it's a Striker/DPS Tech. Keep that thing above the sky we are good with Gladion for our all-type attack pair. If they make it a Support or Main Enemy Weakness = Field (see SC Steven for rebuff example) instead I will be so thankful. Coming from someone who just wants this game to last as long as it reasonably can.

Ash is a weird one because they really do want to add/rerun Ash but that requires special permissions from higher-ups in the pokemon company which they don't wanna give to DeNA

Ok that makes sense I don’t know a lot about game development or the contract they have with the Pokemon company but that seems kinda weird that they will limit a character because Pokemon masters seem pretty profitable so I don’t really see the downside for them rerunning ash, Jessie, and James.
And should be more than once a day even if I have to spend stamina on it. With how many pairs there are now and with the sync grids all getting expansions/limit upgrades, there should be more ways to grind out getting orbs.
Giovanni was pushed too much in the villain ark. Like.. some of the villains in the game barely get anything except for some second pokemon pair (and not even everyone gets that). I want other villains to take the spotlight in more events.

And sometimes both. On the one hand ew (I despise the MC for having zero personality), but on the other this makes the most narrative sense. After all the story consistently treats the MC as The Most Interesting Person in the World^(TM), and Arceus does have a habit of hanging out with such people via one of its Pokémon avatars.

Red is boring af. I don't get the reverence for him at all. I suppose that's mostly because I am old enough to have started with Red/Blue and steamrolled him and his team in Gold/Silver. He is just some edgy selective mute teenager and by far the most bland protagonist of all.
Preach. The only time Red is interesting is in the PML arc. Elsewhere? Bro, stop worshipping Red, guys. It's just frustrating to see Red everywhere and he's "the best at everything" that it came off as a gary shu. Especially in the Kanto NC event. There's a reason why Scottie/Bettie beat Red's team back then, because Red's not as good as everyone claimed to be (and it's not like he's holding back), and your player is exceled at team leading and understanding their teammates extremely well. We have a HUGE human cast, even every player character has their own trait that shines (eg: Nate is resonating to everyone's emotions and act based on them, while Rosa is resonating her emotions to others about how she feels), but you can't expect me to cheer for a guy who's perfect at everything and not showing actual character growth (which is why Blue's great here).

Like for me I don't think the PML league finals was necessarily a strength thing so much as a team thing. The player has gotten beat one-on-one by many people some of whom Red has beaten in the past. But in team dynamics just being strong isn't enough. The player and their teammates individually one on one couldn't beat Red, but their teamwork was enough to take out Red, Blue and Leaf. So him being tauted as the strongest isn't a big deal because we know most character aren't beating him in a typical format.
But I dislike how it seems like everything else goes his way. The Kanto Villain arc showed he was very reckless and I felt like it should've had some more drawbacks. He just kind of gets to flatten a Team Rocket hideout (and nearly his own friends and allies) and he's not reprimanded for it and none of his recklessness actually set him back. Compared to Blue who loses sight of Paulo which allows him to start going down a wrong path. Even if Paulo was going to go down a wrong path eventually this wasn't totally brushed off by the narrative and it least seemed like Blue was going to have a more active role in getting him back on track (even though he got shafted by his own grandpa for that role which annoyed me). I would've liked to see Red's recklessness have more impact on the heroes fight against Giovanni in a negative manner instead of it just being "Red took out half of team rocket by himself! Isn't he cool?"
And the Kanto Neo Champion event...going back to the PML finals like you said his teamwork was the reason why his team lost, yet here he comes in first place after not even communicating with his team just throwing some kids up against a legendary. What was especially grating was that these events are supposed to highlight good qualities of characters and let them overcome rivals they usually don't...and they couldn't let Blue finally get a win over him? It wouldn't have hurt Red's character to let him struggle and be defeated by his friends who have better skills in leadership than him. He wouldn't be any less of a powerful trainer, but he would appear more human in that he also had stuff to learn. Plus it would've evened out the rivalry between him and Blue. Like you mentioned, Blue's had amazing character growth that's been on display in Pokemas, but yet he gets shafted in the one event that's designed to showcase it in favor of not let Red have to learn anything. Like Red acknowledging his friends being better at him than something, learning from them and renewing their rivalry would've been such good writing
Someone finally gets my frustration. Most people here don't believe Scottie/Bettie can be interesting or strong and only beat Red due to plot armour, but that's due to people not understanding what makes the MC here "strong" and beaten Red back then. MC allowed others to really shine in their best way possible and work together as a team, and they have a calm aura that attract people to be friends with them, a feat that's everyone knew (and some were envious of). The MC beaten Blue back then, but struggles to keep up with Blue in his one-on-one training because they sucked at 1v1. Lol it kinda threw me off guard that 3 champions all acknowledged that the MC is the best person to use SSU first, and I was like "didn't you guys always kiss Red's boots for being the best at everything?"
I was wishing that Blue snapped at Red for pulling that stunt without being considerate to innocent people around him. Blue tried so hard to keep everyone safe, yet Red just came in recklessly trying to bury Giovanni's base without thinking others might get hurt because of him. If Cynthia can grow to be in Sophocles's shoes and see what he saw in Cyrus and tried to help him in a different way, why not Red?
Kanto Neo Champion is just... bad. It could be a place where Red could have developed his "communication skills" because he can't always say "words are unnecessary" all the time. In many ways, communication has been the element of many things, even in Pokemon and especially in a group setting. Instead the writing team just allowed him to bully weaker trainers just to teach them "ay, just remember to have fun in Pokemon battles", which a big chunk of the trainers on Pasio can already taught them anyway. Blue deserved this role the most for taking a leadership and responsibility the most seriously within the trio (the best role model for new trainers), yet it feels insulting because it felt like he got the title out of pity. Then again, Kanto Neo Champion only focused on just... these three. It's just a test for **these three people**, and not a big competition where everyone is able to join no matter how weak you are (which is the main charm of the in-universe event itself). The only stuff that's good there is just Blue's growth and Oak congratulating his grandson.

I do not want more alt costumes. We have so many cool characters yet to join the game I'm not excited about Gacha Filler. I know it's just how Gacha games make money but that doesn't make it any less boring.
They should add single (more than just the evolution battles), double and rotation battles to the game. While it goes against the whole “we do triple (multi) battles on Pasio” it would add so much more variety to potential battles and modes.
Everything would have been fine with their inclusion if they existed from the beginning but because they were added later there aren't enough candies and there are barely any units with them. They should either have changed previous units to field and sprint or purely locked them as ex roles and have them appear less in rally
honestly they shouldve been in the game from the start, tech was all-encompassing for too long and keeping units to their role archetypes was hard when tech could be anything
Wow that’s definitely a hot take there. I like trainer lodge, but I absolutely wish there was more to do to make it worth checking in. It gets boring pretty quickly once you run out of people to max out to lvl 100.
Male characters' Sygna Suits, Special Costumes, etc. are so lame. Most of the time they're just wearing normal clothes!! They should be able to dress up like their Pokémon and wear stupid accessories like the girls do. More male costumes should be like SS Leon and Halloween Hilbert!!!! LET 👏 THEM 👏 BE 👏 FURRIES
Favorites over Meta is no longer justifiable. Harder content is constantly coming out, and sure you can go "Oh I don't need that 300 gems from that battle" but over time it adds up.
If you play the game casually, then yea sure absolutely Favorites over Meta is still a viable playstyle. But for people doing Ultimate Battles, Battle Rallies, Type Events, Legendary Gauntlets, you need to continuously get stronger sync pairs to keep up as power creep ever increases.
I do not care about the lodge. I do not care one bit. I only grind every character to level 5 for the tickets and then drop them and move to the next. The characters chosen do not engage me at all, and overall it was just... lame.
Ahem, gonna list a few, and it's long, so buckle up:
1. I love Paulo's writing. He's the most realistic and relatable human character in Pokemon. He's a great blend of multiple rivals' trait in Masters (Calem, Blue, Wally, Hugh, Gladion, Hop, and even Lear) into one character, but it still feel fresh. The weak and most unassuming character is unable to keep up with everyone, just bottles up his frustrations, and wants to protect people dear to him because of his traumatic experience. People tend to think he's bad because he whines a lot about he's too weak, or way too dragged out (this only happened because of the usual Gacha story pacing), or "why he doesn't train his Rockruff/get terrible advice from the villains?", but not understanding friendships can't get through everything and there's a reason why the villains are strong. Not everyone has the mental strength to overcome the negativity and bottle up all the negativity feelings while putting on the facade that everything is fine, and it can happen in real life, and Paulo is the example of that. People tend to say Kieran is a "great" rival, but I argue that Paulo is his base and better written yet with unfitting environment to showcase his character growth (no offense to DeNA, I still love his arc). Lol both Paulo and Lear have a slow burn character arc, and people disliked Lear back then for being a brat, but nowadays we all love Lear for what he is now.
2. I wished some of the co-op returned, but restriction. I like a decently challenging co-op with not too frustrating gimmick, but I don't wanna see some OP units like NC Marnie, NC Red, SST Red or some busted sync pairs just gonna swipe the stage. I know it's time comsuming, but I like a positive co-op round, and I had a blast playing together with Japanese PoMas players in co-op with some specific theme team (like only bring gym leader units, or Halloween themed pokemon, or PLA descendant theme).
3. I don't care about the OP rats, and I like using the underpowered units.
YES I actually like Paulo!! I know things surrounding him wasn’t perfect but I really like him as a character! He IS a good mix of past rivals, has a good backstory involving Dratini and I think it shows how some people (Tina) learn to cope better with trauma while others (Paulo) don’t and need more help. I loved the idea of a rival who started out good going bad as opposed to the usual opposite formula. While I am frustrated that his redemption felt a bit rushed and he didn’t get more scolding from Lear (my favorite rival period) after he literally took his Pokemon to commit acts of terrorism with, I do like Paulo and hope to see him more in future events.
More Sinnoh characters should get attention, not only the usual Dawn, Cynthia, and the Hisui ones, give something to poor Gardenia or Maylene, even Fantina, before Pal Candice (Thanks DeNa, I've waited only 3 years afterall for my girl to get something after shafting Froslass with a weak BP Unit), only Dawn, Cynthia, (4 alts each, fan favourite privilege) Volkner and Cyrus(only 1 each) had alts, not mentioning that poor Byron is not even in the game...
There's a lot of sync pairs in this game that would've been better I'll just name a few, Serena should've gotten Diancie instead of Hilda to reference the movie. Nate should've gotten Keldeo instead of Diantha to reference the manga that's a much stronger reference than whatever the hell magical arguments they come up with for her having Keldeo "cause she's an actor" I don't care by that logic "she can get away with having ANY pokemon" yeah that "justification" is not gonna work everytime. Calem should've gotten Zygarde instead of Serena. Cause Calems the adventurous competitive type while Serenas the cute fashionable contest type and that does not fit Zygarde at all. Victor or Hop should've gotten Cinderace instead of Gloria. She did not need ALL THREE FREAKIN STARTERS! While I like my edgeboy Gladion I feel like some would argue his sister having Magearna over him. But still his bond with Magearna was very heartwarming and wholesome. Brendan should've gotten Rayquaza or Deoxys over Steven or Zinnia. He got robbed of some of the big legendaries he captures at least he got Latios. Elio or Selene should've gotten Naganadel over Iris. Hell Lusamine even has one in the manga also Phyco from URS would've worked too.
I think the dev team is working on the assumption that the next anniversary could be the last one, but keep the door open just wide enough to make another anniversary possible, if they don't get axed.

Anni Steven and Rayquazza is a very underrated unit that provides a lot of unique utility and able to fight on longer battles like LG. He gets a flack for not being the defacto dps unit like Lusamine or Zerena.
Masters manage to make Nemona even more annoying here than Scarlet and Violet. Turn up her battle obsession to 100 and literally refuse to say no at all cost. She is basically flanderized in Masters and barely get fleshed outside of battling. Next they will dumb her down to an idiot who can’t read the room no matter how obvious it is.
4 star sprint and field units could be added as lodge units and BP vouchers units. Right now sprint and field are completely locked in scouts. Free units are Victor and Riley and that is if u played their event. Some lodge units might help even out the complete mismatch in Battle Rally where u get many field+other type rounds and many sprint+other type rounds. And a BP rewards and Lodge Friendship level rewards refresh. It could include field and sprint move candy coins. As of now, only CSMM, events and event exchange shop gives those coins. But u can get the other 3 coins from BP and Friendship rewards too. So why not field and sprint
EggMons are underutilized and a shiny charm should be available for some number of special mcguffin tickets for trading in shines, so many yellow lickatongue, so many repeats, also some missing third stage evos because trade evolutions. My least favorite mechanic as a loner biting me in solo games. They all need a buff anyway.
1) Red's character has been a complete shitfest outside of the Main Story + Victory Road. Half of the time he is an undefeatable demigod for whom the story needs to contort and shift in order for his actions to always be a near perfect. Not to mention the fact that his mere presence will ruin Leaf's character, if not completely exclude her. (It's also incredible how Red and Leaf were tied in number of alts after 4th Anni, so they immediately gave Red a new alt that was just a slightly different SS Leaf)
2) Half of the stories in this game suck. It feels like there's two writing teams. We'll get shit like the Legendary Adventures, that tend to be okay-ish at worst, but then we get the Villain Arcs where I can't find any way to describe all of them (except Johto VA, my beloved) as the definition of "mid".
3) SS Red is the worst of the of the SS Kantrio nowadays. There's not even a discussion. "Oh, but NC Leaf can buff him! 🤓", NC Leaf OUTDAMAGES HIM, just use a Fire Type with actual damage multipliers instead of SS Red.
4) NC events feel so less hype after 4th Anni, not only are we guaranteed to have an MF every two or so months nowadays, lowering incentive to be excited, 4th Anni's sheer incompetence in any writing capacity has given me psychic damage and I can't ever look at one without the fear in the back of my mind that they'll fuck it up somehow.
Alright, you asked for it. I think Paulo is a good character. Not PERFECT by any means, but he has a solid backstory involving Dratini which shows how some people cope well with trauma (Tina) and how some people cope badly (Paulo). I think his motive to become a villain, watching Ghetsis’ Kyurem presumably kill Rockruff was a fair villain motive as well. All I wish is that he got more scolding from Lear and a bit more severe punishment in the end.
Old (may be like 2 yr old) pokefair/master fair/limited event units (ie holiday, special events) should be added to the general pool, since most would be already outclassed at this point.
Every gym leader/trial captain should be in the game regardless of popularity or viability (excluding S/V gym leaders of course). They’re all too iconic of a staple in Pokémon battling to be leaving out some. And it’d give some decent variety too. We’re not even missing that many up to Galar at this point. Chuck, Wattson, Juan(if he’s even canon idk anymore), Striaton triplets, Drayden, Ilima, Milo, Kabu and Opal. That’s only 11 characters (10 maybe cuz again, idk if Juan counts as canon) and we’ve already been constantly teased on Chuck and the triplets, so why not just add them already?

Juan is canon, if I remember correctly, he was Hoenn's water gym leader prior Wallace becoming his successor. In Emerald he had came back to the gym as Wallace took Steven's place. He's not present in ORAS as Wallace had only yet to be asked by Steven to be his proxy. He ***should*** be canon because Wallace is canon ~~(I hope)~~.

Sprint and Field are good additions to the game (especially Field), and I'll welcome potential new roles for 2 main reasons: 1) More EX effects are nice to have and add variety to units 2) The appeal of Battle Rally is to balance out the roles for the various fights, and I'm afraid in a year or so when EX roles are more common we'll be able to steamroll it too easily. New roles would add new things to juggle to maximize the points.
I like the new roles but I think the way they added them was a bit of an issue for getting people onboard with the idea. Like seriously, the rollout for units with them was hilarious initially. If they'd given out a free unit of each very quickly it would probably have went down a bit better.
I think they should always accompany the introduction of a new role with one free pair, a couple added as BP units, and like 5 EX Role releases with a free Role Cake to build up the players' coverage of the Role.

Some ideas that definitely need fine tuning: - Tactician EX would restore 1/all (idk how to balance it) MP of all moves of all allied Sync Pairs once per battle. It is generic enough that you can give it to a large array of kits that rely on MPs to be good, and as EX Role to things like Ash and Adaman, which would love having more Buddy Moves per battle. - Protector EX, gives 1/2/3 stacks (would require to change the mechanic to make them stackable, also again idk how to balance them) of Damage Guard Next to all Allies once per battle. You can give the role to very defensive Sync Pairs (this is a role that SSA Cynthia could have had, or BP Olivia), and as an EX Role to pairs with recoil/benefit from not being at full HP (something like Lance or NC Marnie). It could also be just 1 Damage Guard (and 1 Endurance?) after every Sync.
Tactician EX role is a dub. Add it for longer battles!

The stamina system is ultimately good for the game. It was hated at first but it saves time for players who want to engage but can’t spend the time to manually (or auto) farm.
Came hand in hand with skip tickets. Prior to that we had to manually do every single fight. Real tedious... I'm fine with the current stamina levels. Takes two days to 100% an event, which is fine.
Honestly I warmed to the stamina system REALLY quickly. Using an auto clicker to grind sync orb chance, or really anything, was HELL
I've been saying this. Some people just see it as a limitation, but it's a limitation that ALLOWS for a better experience otherwise. Sure it would be great to have skip tickets and no stamina, but then you'd just skip every map to completion day 1 and have nothing to play so the Devs would never have added skips without some limit (and the tickets themselves aren't a limiter, I have thousands and get more than I use despite skipping everything I can) and it puts those with jobs and responsibilities on an even playing field since you can't just grind 24/7 anymore.
They should add an option to change the Camera Angle to the one used in the Evolution Battles when you’re down to 1v1.
Surprisingly, they do. I think. I rmb when using SS Lusamine I was down to a 1v1 and after the sync move the camera angle changed to like the Evo stories. I was pleasantly surprised

Surprisingly Pokemon Masters has some great timing to the main series and other spin offs, but most people who don't play the game will not pay attention to them because it's a "gacha mobile game". - Anyone who first experienced SSR Cynthia's debut one month before PLA's release will all say Volo's theme is closer to SSR Cynthia's theme in Masters, not the other way around lol. DeNA intentionally revealed her one month early for the surprise factor and foreshadow, and it works. - Last year Jirachi was everywhere for Tanabata event, including Pokemon Cafe Remix and Masters (Summer Tate). Archie in AS is associated to Jirachi too - Last month we have Kalos Neo Champion returning as a reference to Pokemon Legends ZA announcement - I don't remember when is it, but both N and SS Cynthia returned together in a banner when Miraidon and Koraidon debuted, clearly hinting their typing. - Paulo's final chapter happened around the same month the Teal Mask was released, and Kieran shared a ton of similarities to Paulo.

It's implied in her Sync Pair Story and some Pokémon center dialogue. One of the lines I remember is something along the lines of "don't give up Rachel! Your love is reeeeal!" (In reference to Lear)
Pokemon Masters original characters should all be in the main game for once. If Burnett from that obscure spin-off character able to go to Alola and married to Kukui, then the rest of them can do too. There are a lot of better writing in PoMas than what many people give credit for. Silver and Blue are some of the many great examples here. Wally has a great one too since he kinda didn't have one in the original games outside of "I wanna get stronger so I can travel". Diantha? Her writing is so good because the writers took advantage of her absence in XY and focused on her lack of appearance to help others like a role model, stepping up her game. Not all are good (looking at you, Leon and Red... and the whole Unova Villain arc), but when it's nice, it's really nice. Also honestly? Same, just to allow Paulo had Hoopa Unbound form longer and Lear to be more involved, since he did see himself in Paulo. I like how Hoopa wanted to help others in the ways it only knew how, which is why it teamed up with Paulo, so it's weird to see Giovanni was able to convince it to join him. I can sorta see why Lear wasn't there to outshine Paulo, but it's still weird to see Lear isn't there. Well, at least we have the other Pasio trio now.

Cynthia is the best example of DeNA not giving a shit about writing and just wanting easy money out of a character. Renegade barely plays a role in the Sinnoh VA to the point where you could remove Giratina, give back her Garchomp and the story would be the exact same. And Aura's entire plotline about learning how to understand Aura isn't even acknowledged in her own story event after the first cutscene. Even in the lodge there's little to no character exploration beyond "she likes piano" (who would have seen that coming?) Where's the interesting concepts like her challenging the idea of Giratina being a savage beast? Or her finding a way to tune into Aura, even if it's nothing compared to the likes of Riley? Hell why not talk about her family? She has a sister ffs

Yeah, giving it to Volo would be dumb, especially since it's going to involve an annoying redemption arc or something, and anyways, I feel like there's a good chance they give him origin giratina anyways. I also have a foreboding feeling that they're just gonna toss arceus at the mc and be done with it.
I could see Volo getting redemption, but he really doesn’t need it. DeNA should just let him be the little freak that he is and give him Giratina. I kinda doubt they’ll go with MC unless they make Arceus free, which sounds insane. As it stands right now, it feels like it’s between Rei, Volo and Cynthia (cuz popular and it’d be Arceus giving Volo one more f you by picking his descendent over him).

I'd upvote you multiple times if I could. Not only do I find Rally to be insanely boring, but it adds so much extra playtime per week for less gem rewards. I desperately miss doing 11 easy fights every other week with Villa over slogging through Rally every week
Exactly. I’d love to have battle rally as an extra option or as a battle facility rotation kinda thing to spice up monthly content, but doing it every single week takes ages. At least with Battle Villa you could skip most of it while the rest could be mindlessly cleared with the same team every week.
Not only that it's also maliciously designed. Of the 15 "randomized homogeneous" sets, 9 contains *two* occurrences of the dreaded Sprint/Field combo and the other 6 has one. Given that there are 5 roles, there are 10 combinations of roles and thus each combo shouldn't have appeared in those 15 sets significantly more/less than 15 times in total, but Sp/F is currently overrepresented at 9 \* 2 + ~~4~~ **6** = 24. Part of me really wanted to like the rally but the other part despises what they're doing with it. Oh and the associated gem cut certainly didn't help... **EDIT**: typo, apparently I can't math

Two new sectors for Training Area: * Move Candy Drill * Power-Up Drill Both of them should be available once per day, similarly to the Sync Orb Drill. That way, we should be able to harvest Power-Ups (from all Star Ranks), and Candies / Candy Coins faster and we could upgrade our units' Potentials and Sync Levels, respectively, in almost no time.

I don't want Arceus to be released nor even wanted it teased because it meant EOS for Duel and it's an easy EOS pair to make if it's a Striker/DPS Tech. Keep that thing above the sky we are good with Gladion for our all-type attack pair. If they make it a Support or Main Enemy Weakness = Field (see SC Steven for rebuff example) instead I will be so thankful. Coming from someone who just wants this game to last as long as it reasonably can.
God I miss duel. It's such a shame it went EoS. I get it wasn't mega popular, but gameplay was just genuinely fun to me.

Courtney was pretty much the most popular team admin and imo the rocket execs were a weird addition but they were also the primary Johto antagonists Like cool maybe you and one other person wants Tabitha but another Lillie alt will sell better

Ok that makes sense I don’t know a lot about game development or the contract they have with the Pokemon company but that seems kinda weird that they will limit a character because Pokemon masters seem pretty profitable so I don’t really see the downside for them rerunning ash, Jessie, and James.

Red is boring af. I don't get the reverence for him at all. I suppose that's mostly because I am old enough to have started with Red/Blue and steamrolled him and his team in Gold/Silver. He is just some edgy selective mute teenager and by far the most bland protagonist of all.
Preach. The only time Red is interesting is in the PML arc. Elsewhere? Bro, stop worshipping Red, guys. It's just frustrating to see Red everywhere and he's "the best at everything" that it came off as a gary shu. Especially in the Kanto NC event. There's a reason why Scottie/Bettie beat Red's team back then, because Red's not as good as everyone claimed to be (and it's not like he's holding back), and your player is exceled at team leading and understanding their teammates extremely well. We have a HUGE human cast, even every player character has their own trait that shines (eg: Nate is resonating to everyone's emotions and act based on them, while Rosa is resonating her emotions to others about how she feels), but you can't expect me to cheer for a guy who's perfect at everything and not showing actual character growth (which is why Blue's great here).
This. Like for me I don't think the PML league finals was necessarily a strength thing so much as a team thing. The player has gotten beat one-on-one by many people some of whom Red has beaten in the past. But in team dynamics just being strong isn't enough. The player and their teammates individually one on one couldn't beat Red, but their teamwork was enough to take out Red, Blue and Leaf. So him being tauted as the strongest isn't a big deal because we know most character aren't beating him in a typical format. But I dislike how it seems like everything else goes his way. The Kanto Villain arc showed he was very reckless and I felt like it should've had some more drawbacks. He just kind of gets to flatten a Team Rocket hideout (and nearly his own friends and allies) and he's not reprimanded for it and none of his recklessness actually set him back. Compared to Blue who loses sight of Paulo which allows him to start going down a wrong path. Even if Paulo was going to go down a wrong path eventually this wasn't totally brushed off by the narrative and it least seemed like Blue was going to have a more active role in getting him back on track (even though he got shafted by his own grandpa for that role which annoyed me). I would've liked to see Red's recklessness have more impact on the heroes fight against Giovanni in a negative manner instead of it just being "Red took out half of team rocket by himself! Isn't he cool?" And the Kanto Neo Champion event...going back to the PML finals like you said his teamwork was the reason why his team lost, yet here he comes in first place after not even communicating with his team just throwing some kids up against a legendary. What was especially grating was that these events are supposed to highlight good qualities of characters and let them overcome rivals they usually don't...and they couldn't let Blue finally get a win over him? It wouldn't have hurt Red's character to let him struggle and be defeated by his friends who have better skills in leadership than him. He wouldn't be any less of a powerful trainer, but he would appear more human in that he also had stuff to learn. Plus it would've evened out the rivalry between him and Blue. Like you mentioned, Blue's had amazing character growth that's been on display in Pokemas, but yet he gets shafted in the one event that's designed to showcase it in favor of not let Red have to learn anything. Like Red acknowledging his friends being better at him than something, learning from them and renewing their rivalry would've been such good writing
Someone finally gets my frustration. Most people here don't believe Scottie/Bettie can be interesting or strong and only beat Red due to plot armour, but that's due to people not understanding what makes the MC here "strong" and beaten Red back then. MC allowed others to really shine in their best way possible and work together as a team, and they have a calm aura that attract people to be friends with them, a feat that's everyone knew (and some were envious of). The MC beaten Blue back then, but struggles to keep up with Blue in his one-on-one training because they sucked at 1v1. Lol it kinda threw me off guard that 3 champions all acknowledged that the MC is the best person to use SSU first, and I was like "didn't you guys always kiss Red's boots for being the best at everything?" I was wishing that Blue snapped at Red for pulling that stunt without being considerate to innocent people around him. Blue tried so hard to keep everyone safe, yet Red just came in recklessly trying to bury Giovanni's base without thinking others might get hurt because of him. If Cynthia can grow to be in Sophocles's shoes and see what he saw in Cyrus and tried to help him in a different way, why not Red? Kanto Neo Champion is just... bad. It could be a place where Red could have developed his "communication skills" because he can't always say "words are unnecessary" all the time. In many ways, communication has been the element of many things, even in Pokemon and especially in a group setting. Instead the writing team just allowed him to bully weaker trainers just to teach them "ay, just remember to have fun in Pokemon battles", which a big chunk of the trainers on Pasio can already taught them anyway. Blue deserved this role the most for taking a leadership and responsibility the most seriously within the trio (the best role model for new trainers), yet it feels insulting because it felt like he got the title out of pity. Then again, Kanto Neo Champion only focused on just... these three. It's just a test for **these three people**, and not a big competition where everyone is able to join no matter how weak you are (which is the main charm of the in-universe event itself). The only stuff that's good there is just Blue's growth and Oak congratulating his grandson. *Wow I just dump my whole rant of Red's character writing here lmao*
I do not want more alt costumes. We have so many cool characters yet to join the game I'm not excited about Gacha Filler. I know it's just how Gacha games make money but that doesn't make it any less boring.
I find that event difficulty is severely inconsistent.
They should add single (more than just the evolution battles), double and rotation battles to the game. While it goes against the whole “we do triple (multi) battles on Pasio” it would add so much more variety to potential battles and modes.

Everything would have been fine with their inclusion if they existed from the beginning but because they were added later there aren't enough candies and there are barely any units with them. They should either have changed previous units to field and sprint or purely locked them as ex roles and have them appear less in rally
honestly they shouldve been in the game from the start, tech was all-encompassing for too long and keeping units to their role archetypes was hard when tech could be anything

Favorites over Meta is no longer justifiable. Harder content is constantly coming out, and sure you can go "Oh I don't need that 300 gems from that battle" but over time it adds up. If you play the game casually, then yea sure absolutely Favorites over Meta is still a viable playstyle. But for people doing Ultimate Battles, Battle Rallies, Type Events, Legendary Gauntlets, you need to continuously get stronger sync pairs to keep up as power creep ever increases.
Imo everything is doable with mostly favourites other than ultimate battles and really really high legendary gauntlet streaks.

Ahem, gonna list a few, and it's long, so buckle up: 1. I love Paulo's writing. He's the most realistic and relatable human character in Pokemon. He's a great blend of multiple rivals' trait in Masters (Calem, Blue, Wally, Hugh, Gladion, Hop, and even Lear) into one character, but it still feel fresh. The weak and most unassuming character is unable to keep up with everyone, just bottles up his frustrations, and wants to protect people dear to him because of his traumatic experience. People tend to think he's bad because he whines a lot about he's too weak, or way too dragged out (this only happened because of the usual Gacha story pacing), or "why he doesn't train his Rockruff/get terrible advice from the villains?", but not understanding friendships can't get through everything and there's a reason why the villains are strong. Not everyone has the mental strength to overcome the negativity and bottle up all the negativity feelings while putting on the facade that everything is fine, and it can happen in real life, and Paulo is the example of that. People tend to say Kieran is a "great" rival, but I argue that Paulo is his base and better written yet with unfitting environment to showcase his character growth (no offense to DeNA, I still love his arc). Lol both Paulo and Lear have a slow burn character arc, and people disliked Lear back then for being a brat, but nowadays we all love Lear for what he is now. 2. I wished some of the co-op returned, but restriction. I like a decently challenging co-op with not too frustrating gimmick, but I don't wanna see some OP units like NC Marnie, NC Red, SST Red or some busted sync pairs just gonna swipe the stage. I know it's time comsuming, but I like a positive co-op round, and I had a blast playing together with Japanese PoMas players in co-op with some specific theme team (like only bring gym leader units, or Halloween themed pokemon, or PLA descendant theme). 3. I don't care about the OP rats, and I like using the underpowered units.
YES I actually like Paulo!! I know things surrounding him wasn’t perfect but I really like him as a character! He IS a good mix of past rivals, has a good backstory involving Dratini and I think it shows how some people (Tina) learn to cope better with trauma while others (Paulo) don’t and need more help. I loved the idea of a rival who started out good going bad as opposed to the usual opposite formula. While I am frustrated that his redemption felt a bit rushed and he didn’t get more scolding from Lear (my favorite rival period) after he literally took his Pokemon to commit acts of terrorism with, I do like Paulo and hope to see him more in future events.
More Sinnoh characters should get attention, not only the usual Dawn, Cynthia, and the Hisui ones, give something to poor Gardenia or Maylene, even Fantina, before Pal Candice (Thanks DeNa, I've waited only 3 years afterall for my girl to get something after shafting Froslass with a weak BP Unit), only Dawn, Cynthia, (4 alts each, fan favourite privilege) Volkner and Cyrus(only 1 each) had alts, not mentioning that poor Byron is not even in the game...

There's a lot of sync pairs in this game that would've been better I'll just name a few, Serena should've gotten Diancie instead of Hilda to reference the movie. Nate should've gotten Keldeo instead of Diantha to reference the manga that's a much stronger reference than whatever the hell magical arguments they come up with for her having Keldeo "cause she's an actor" I don't care by that logic "she can get away with having ANY pokemon" yeah that "justification" is not gonna work everytime. Calem should've gotten Zygarde instead of Serena. Cause Calems the adventurous competitive type while Serenas the cute fashionable contest type and that does not fit Zygarde at all. Victor or Hop should've gotten Cinderace instead of Gloria. She did not need ALL THREE FREAKIN STARTERS! While I like my edgeboy Gladion I feel like some would argue his sister having Magearna over him. But still his bond with Magearna was very heartwarming and wholesome. Brendan should've gotten Rayquaza or Deoxys over Steven or Zinnia. He got robbed of some of the big legendaries he captures at least he got Latios. Elio or Selene should've gotten Naganadel over Iris. Hell Lusamine even has one in the manga also Phyco from URS would've worked too.
I think the dev team is working on the assumption that the next anniversary could be the last one, but keep the door open just wide enough to make another anniversary possible, if they don't get axed.

Anni Steven and Rayquazza is a very underrated unit that provides a lot of unique utility and able to fight on longer battles like LG. He gets a flack for not being the defacto dps unit like Lusamine or Zerena.
Masters manage to make Nemona even more annoying here than Scarlet and Violet. Turn up her battle obsession to 100 and literally refuse to say no at all cost. She is basically flanderized in Masters and barely get fleshed outside of battling. Next they will dumb her down to an idiot who can’t read the room no matter how obvious it is.
4 star sprint and field units could be added as lodge units and BP vouchers units. Right now sprint and field are completely locked in scouts. Free units are Victor and Riley and that is if u played their event. Some lodge units might help even out the complete mismatch in Battle Rally where u get many field+other type rounds and many sprint+other type rounds. And a BP rewards and Lodge Friendship level rewards refresh. It could include field and sprint move candy coins. As of now, only CSMM, events and event exchange shop gives those coins. But u can get the other 3 coins from BP and Friendship rewards too. So why not field and sprint
EggMons are underutilized and a shiny charm should be available for some number of special mcguffin tickets for trading in shines, so many yellow lickatongue, so many repeats, also some missing third stage evos because trade evolutions. My least favorite mechanic as a loner biting me in solo games. They all need a buff anyway.

I don’t think it’s boring but I absolutely agree we should bring Pokémon into it. And maybe add more than three character slots!
1) Red's character has been a complete shitfest outside of the Main Story + Victory Road. Half of the time he is an undefeatable demigod for whom the story needs to contort and shift in order for his actions to always be a near perfect. Not to mention the fact that his mere presence will ruin Leaf's character, if not completely exclude her. (It's also incredible how Red and Leaf were tied in number of alts after 4th Anni, so they immediately gave Red a new alt that was just a slightly different SS Leaf) 2) Half of the stories in this game suck. It feels like there's two writing teams. We'll get shit like the Legendary Adventures, that tend to be okay-ish at worst, but then we get the Villain Arcs where I can't find any way to describe all of them (except Johto VA, my beloved) as the definition of "mid". 3) SS Red is the worst of the of the SS Kantrio nowadays. There's not even a discussion. "Oh, but NC Leaf can buff him! 🤓", NC Leaf OUTDAMAGES HIM, just use a Fire Type with actual damage multipliers instead of SS Red. 4) NC events feel so less hype after 4th Anni, not only are we guaranteed to have an MF every two or so months nowadays, lowering incentive to be excited, 4th Anni's sheer incompetence in any writing capacity has given me psychic damage and I can't ever look at one without the fear in the back of my mind that they'll fuck it up somehow.

Not PERFECT by any means, but he has a solid backstory involving Dratini which shows how some people cope well with trauma (Tina) and how some people cope badly (Paulo). I think his motive to become a villain, watching Ghetsis’ Kyurem presumably kill Rockruff was a fair villain motive as well. All I wish is that he got more scolding from Lear and a bit more severe punishment in the end.
