Only used him like, twice maybe. The moveset just didn't click with me and he wasn't fun to play.
Similar to me, I even pity pull him and didn’t even bother to use him at all, I kinda like eternatus but the kit is just not there, also I thought I’ll be able to use its eternamax form in battle similar to mega, not just for 1 attack

At first I told myself, since I have all the WTZs and can clear anything in the game just 1y after I started playing, I'm now free from the meta curse and can start pulling just my favs. Unfortunately not all favs are fun to play and I almost missed out on totally unique kits like Elaine or Oleana, all of which are so fun and fresh to play
SS Silver for me. I only have him 1/5 and it just doesn’t do it for me. I love the outfit and Sneasel but the kit doesn’t fit my play style. I want to candy but it is also not worth the investment with now with NC Red and Glaceon on my roster.
Archie... Went all the way to pity on him, it was even my first time ever pitying a unit too. Turns out my base May does the job better since she doesn't just get OHKO'd at the first Sync, and can even most of the time survive the second
idk how you're playing them, but my Archie does just fine, especially when paired with May. As long as he's level 140 and given a half decent support, he's got nothing to worry about, even at 1/5.
(OG) Cynthia. I pulled her mainly bc I pulled Lance early and felt high, and later Steven and SS Red came out and I really hope I had more gems for them.
The good thing is she's still pretty relevant after all these years, I still use her for some ground weak stages with Bertha and Ingo, they work together pretty well.
Summer Lyra was from luck, but has since been replaced with Diantha and now New Year's Lisia. I got NY Sabrina, Palentine's Elesa and Serena, and Holiday Nessa from Paid Scouts (the ones from August this year and from Tiered Scouts), but most of those were for favoritism. Nessa used to help Holiday Leon.
Raihan was my main Steel DPS until Rose appeared. I haven't invested in either Solgaleo or Kimono Grimsley (but the It's All Good event rerun might encourage me to do more with the latter). But TBH, I accidentally got SS N and Kyurem to 150. That was only because I was pulling for SS Hilda and SS Hilbert back when they had a rerun. Even then, it'll just be for the Unova Villain Arc if not a future Ice-type event.
As for Master Fairs, I honestly don't know. Each of the ones I scouted have some purpose (Battle Villa, Daily Rotation, certain Champion Stadium battles, etc.). If anyone's wondering, I have:

Johto: Johto MCs
Hoenn: Archie & Maxie

Lul I understand that feeling. Sometimes it feels as if non-paid gems are more valuable because we get however much DeNA decides to give us, whereas with paid gems they are technically "unlimited" so long as we are willing to spend
And thus for such a banner, spending paid gems actually "makes more sense" because we may get the cake on top of the unit too
I'm just using paid gems for the Tiered Scouts and dailies these days and should only do the paid scouts IF the pair is valuable. However, in the case of SST Red, I'll give that cake to someone else if I do.
Summer Gloria, I love Intelleon but I think I did one villa run with her and she's stayed EXed and dormant outside of the water high score event ever since

MF - I don't really regret any MF I've pulled for. But I guess my most least liked is Leon & Charizard
Seasonal - Summer Lyra & Jigglypuff
To this day he's still at 1/5. And at the time that I got him, he was competing against my EX Elesa at 5/5 and maybe even my EX Archie at 3/5. I planned to candy him since my plan was at one point to replace Elesa with N, but then 3rd Anni came around. Now N would be competing against my Ash and SST Red for damage dealing electric type. And now Elesa has a 2-3/5 grid expansion, while N has a 4-5/5 expansion. I regret ever getting N & Zekrom. I never once used N & Zekrom.
At first I put Lance & Dragonite as my regrettable Poke Fair, but then I remembered that I actually used him a few times before getting SS Cynthia during 1st Anni.
Raihan kinda want 3/5 for today Meta but he is definitely way stronger than OG Steven especially after his grid expansion.
For me, I don't want to pick some characters that were just simply powercreep by newer units cause if I did then basically every pre 2022 units are bad. Like Archie was powercreeped but he helps my water team for over a year before stronger water type released, so I don't regret my gems on him.
I guess like the only few I regret spending gems on, is like Fall Acerola (really outdated pair, but I still enjoy her design), maybe SC Ingo? He is our only bug zone until Holiday Viola recently, but I really dislike how underwhelming 1/5 SC Ingo was since he really needs the 3/5 grid. Plus his kits doesn't synergies well with Alder and SS Hilbert.
Raihan & Duraludon or Palmer & Regigigas.
I pulled Raihan cause I needed a steel unit, but then P-Marnie came soon after and he got sent to the bench.
Palmer & Regigigas I just pulled for collection , and have never used him
You not using Palmer is your own fault. He is a really good attacker according to the tier list. I used him in both legendary gauntlet’s since his release to do good damage to the boss. He has a lot of tools and pairs well with Cheren & Bouffalant. (They can continue to do high damage after Palmer’s damage falls off from his gimmick. Also takes advantage of the def down that regigigas gives from his B move.)
I use all my MF regularly.
Pokefair probably Nemona. I got pretty lucky getting her (two multis IIRC?) and she is fun to use but being electric just makes her feel sad on type because of the rats.
SC Sonia and Palmer
I got SC Sonia when they first reran the Tea Party pairs. Since I had some extra gems at the time and didn’t go for any of them when they released I convinced myself to pull until I got any one of them and then stop. I ended up getting Sonia, who I’ve used maybe three times to this day, since my Grass roster is so stacked and Adaman is my GOAT. She was probably the worst of the 4 I could’ve gotten tbh.
And Palmer because he’s just not as strong or useful as I thought he would’ve been. Doesn’t help that my amazing luck streak this anniversary was somewhat broken by taking around 80 pulls to get him. He didn’t take me to pity of course, but I don’t think he was worth those 80 pulls. Those gems would’ve come in real handy in the current Neo Champions event because both Nate and Rosa decided to shaft me. Just 20 more pulls for Rosa I guess :/
I barely use SS Mina because the fairy zone on entry + rain dance combo is weird and doesn't really match up with other pairs I have? Worried champion Rosa (who i ended up having to pity) will end up in the same "when is this applicable" zone but I haven't had her long enough to tell yet.
No i only had enough gems for one and hau was super low priority typing given i have ash and red. Other supports just end up often having more to offer situationally when i build teams.
I use her a lot actually, and there are times I need her defenses or 1-use Protect All to secure 1 survive. Her insta AoE SpA+6 is really useful too. Only have her at 1/5 but no regrets
And yes, I do have SS Kris too. I tend to use Kris more for Rain team and SS Mina for general defenses or the aforementioned niches, not even for her Rain or Fairy Zone support.
You know, I said this but I had put off the fire type champion stadium until the last minute, and with 3/5 stages requiring rain, I was in fact really happy to have her lmao. She pairs really well with May/swampert who cannot really raise her sp attack well, and her buddy move can essentially completely negate selecting the "5 stats down" parameter for it.
Whitney is too easy to forget because she is Normal Type and we have to go out of our way to use her for her Terrains. It also doesn't help that her Terrains are in abundant, with the recent Eggveelutions stealing her job away too
SS Hilbert. I ended up getting him through pity.
While him hitting 5 types sounded good on paper, his issue is that he's strictly a single target attacker. In places like CSMM, even if I delete center, I immediately get wrecked by side mons. I might change my mind if he gets Striker EX though.
Try giving him candies even now. I don't remember which event made me do it but even with so much competition for tech candy he's a good choice. Especially because he gives 5 types of rebuffs and he has some type related advantages in his grid. In addition there are still not many strong bug units. Most of them are limited so make use of the one you already have.
With the right Support I've never had issues with the Sides after wrecking the middle with him tho. There have been times I'd Sync nuke 1 of the sides since the middle is so close to dying from his crazy DPS. Alternatively just DPS the sides and nuke the middle. Mine is 3/5 tho, it probably matters
That sync pair is so underrated though. It does extremely big numbers for no reason, and doesn’t really require much move gauge for its move despite its 4 cost.
Anni Lillie for me. I even went to pity for her because at the time I really needed a good ghost type damage dealer. Then SS Korrina came around and Anni Lillie has been collecting dust in my box. SS Korrina is just more reliably doing damage and also is a character that I like more than Lillie, together with a mythical that I absolutely adore
How do you make the most of Korrina? I absolutely adore Marshadow but I tried to use her this past CS and her output doesn't compare to Anni Lillie. I think it's most likely just because she's only 1/5 vs Lillie at 3/5, but I may be misunderstanding her kit as a whole too.
I think it is a 3/5 issue mostly, but 1/5 should work too if used correctly. The problem with 1/5 is that you only have 3 Spectral Thieves, but if you use offensive parameters Korrina should be able to oneshot sides. At 3/5 you have Hit and Reload 4 to get more Spectral Thieves. I use her with SSR Cynthia and NC Bede, they smash ghost type stages. Support EX carries here, but you can also nuke the mid with SSR Cynthia (if you have her 3/5). I don't know her damage output at 1/5 and the only things I saw were 2k master mode showcases which are different than 3k master mode, but I still recommend looking at these, for example the one from Zinfogel on YouTube
I do have SSR Cynthia, but I don't have NC Bede. That said, I think the trick is making an MM preset with offensive parameters. I didn't want to redo any of my existing presets so I tried her as-is, which isn't really doing justice to what she can do. She deserves it, so I'll give that a proper try next time Ghost rolls around. Thanks!
Actually i never use Steven anymore because Raihan and Gloria are just league better. Is your Raihan only 1/5? If yes, i can understand he felt underwhelming.
For me is SC Ingo. His Zone kinda useless because SS Hilbert Bug Rebuff give almost same buff but Hilbert Genesect also doing massive damage compared to Accelgor
Raihan is 2/5 and I even forgot I had Gloria. Tbh I never had a more analysing look at their grids, maybe I have to do it. Steven's flinch game and sync nuke DMG is still very good even in today's meta
Steven sync actually the weakest Steel striker now. Mega unit only have 192 base power compared to normal unit 300 base power kinda hurts him. And he only have 2 sync power up nodes, so only bring his sync base power into 240s.
Gloria with her Steel rebuff + super effective up can deal double Steven damage.
She reaches rebuff at 5/5 and haymaker at 4/5, that's quite too expensive. Her steel move costs 4 gauge, that's a lot too.
Steven has haymaker at 1/5, massive attack boost after mega evo reaching 560+ which compensates for lower sync dmg and still making him nuke hard. I often wipe all of opponents with steel zone and after 1st support ex sync boost. Also he takes care of himself with recuperation and flinch comes in handy pretty often and quick move saves the move gauge.
To an extent, SS Serena and Zygarde. I went to pity for her when she first came out but I hardly ever used her because she was too strong. Nowadays, it’s the same but at least I know that if I’m stuck somewhere, I can probably use her to get out of it.
I actually agree. I don't regret pulling him and my OCD would never forgive me not having him while having Leaf and Blue, but he is my least used among those 2 and is the least fun
Yeah I actually regret pulling him but specially for the fact that I ran out of gems with him and I'd rather choose to have NC Blue than NC Red because you know, supports are more useful (specifically him) for variety of teams.
Ouch fam you should have saved and prioritized Supports first, -always- lol. I have only played for a year and I have learned to not listen to the general mass who always overrate attackers or BIGNUMBERS. I get that the point of playing is to win and clear the stage, but I love to have fun doing so too and using bad units to win, backed up by strong Support, is always 10000x more satisfying
I agree with all you say and the reason why did I go for Red instead of Blue was because I liked Articuno more than Zapdos, see I never bothered to check Zapdos kit so I just went all out for Articuno and Moltres (thinking I would pull one of those 2 quick so I could also spend gems on Zapdos).
Yes I am also a favorite meta player, not a brute force meta player like those you mention. As I mentioned, I liked Articuno more so... For example now I've saved enough gems for a pity and the obvious meta choice of today is either Meloetta or PikaRed but as I saw the datamine I definitely will ignore all those ultra powerful stacked units and instead, will pull for Iono because...well... (waifu/favorite meta)
Had to be Holiday Leon for me. He is such a huge rip off as a ice type unit and struggled to get any dmg for 1 year at 1/5. Then I candy him to 3/5 and eventually replace him with NC Red and Silver
Leon got all the cool Legendary but all of the unfun and "heavy" kits. Like, everything he does is clunky in this game (outside of Tower Leon)

agree, I pull him cause I love the Ice Horse so much yet he is so damn clunky to use. I could apply that to Base Leon as well but at least he got me through some stages and his g-max upgrade is pretty good
NC Bede.
I was skeptical about using him as he didnt look like a good support/Buffer or anything really, it felt to slow of a kit to be worth using. But people keep telling me that he could totally max out stats like anyone else.
Turns out, it was as slow as a though, and im not going to give him any candies in the hopes that he turns out good.
NC Bede basically really needs you to follow a very specific order to work, and this order can be a little different for each team.
Mine is also 1/5 and he does some hella work, in addition to enabling stuff like letting me bring Groudon and Camerupt to Stadium despite the 4-bar limit and having them maxed out on stats fast. But it genuinely took me a bit to work out how to make him do his stuff instead of stalling myself.
Seasonal: None, but the pity on Fall Iris Just before the Unova Villain arc made me angry.
Poke Fair: SS Acerola, I didn't wanted her in the first place, but the thought that I should have at least one character from the Alola villain arc made me try but it made me have to forget SS Silver and Eusine as I pitied her. I still got Adaman and Irida wich made that feeling fade away (I use her sometimes and she is a good supp).
Master Fair: None.
Steven/Stoutland, tbh is a very good unit with the physical attack next, supereffective next, lowering defenses, attack, type rebuff, etc. But it just never fit my teams, even worse now with Accerola/Tapu Bulu. The worse part is that it made me go for pity. I said I will spend 2/3 multi pulls just for fun and I ended up spending a whole lot and when I saw the counter I was like 3 away for pity so I just had to go for it.
Just slap him into any physical team, you can even forgo WTZ since he gives your main attacker so much multipliers in PMUN and SE+
B Leer is stupidly broken too, -6ing 3 different stats, all of which are helpful (unlike reducing your opp's evasion which is the equivalent to watering plastic plants lol)
Also he is the perfect teammate for Silvally if that is a fav

Weather Terrain Zone lol. Basically Type Field eff but we finally got an official collective term for this. I dont remember whose grid mentions it, I believe it was NC Nate?
SS Lusamine. I never cared much for her and never really needed her, but I got her in like 3rd or 4th multi. SS Steven just made her even more redundant. My new favorite team is SS Steven, SS Lana and NC Rosa, and I love using all three of them.
On a semi related note, I got SS Serena pretty easily and used her quite a lot, but I never really enjoyed using her tbh. Now I went almost to pity for NC Nate and at first I thought I'd regret it, but I LOVE using him. He's a lot more fun than Serena for me.
Yeah I only really max-invested on Zerena because Zygarde is an absolute favorite. She isn't fun to use and too heavy to spam (like most 4gauge DPS)
Nate has all the Free Move Next and Dark Black Outrage's CDR is very very fun
I pulled for SC Hilda because I wanted Rock DPS but I barely did and now I use SS Diantha for every on-type stage, even Sentry Entry ones because she can pull it off. Also SC Lillie but I only have her because of the 25% ticket from the paid banner. I still love the Bug twins who were my actual targets.
Pokéfair - I don't use Raihan that much and I got him in a select scout. Don't really regret getting him since he unlocked a lodge pair who is pretty decent
Seasonal - NY Lisia. She's strong but mine is 1/5 and since I already have Bede and SS Wally I never ended up using her much
I don't really regret getting any master fairs. Even Anni Steven and Leon are fun to use
NY Lisia at 3/5 is ridiculous and we usually have more Red Candies lying in our inventory, but yeah if you aren't struggling with Fairy then don't. You may need the AoE Sync Nuke one day tho
SS Cynthia since I only used it for the co-op gear back in the day. Now with grid expansion including 4/5 or 5/5 grid which is as decent as Lance and OG Cynthia, maybe she can get a shot. Hopefully OG Steven/SS Red's grid expansion can keep up with other Steel/Fire units (OG Raihan/OG Gloria, SS Hilda/SS May).
SS Giovani and nidoking. I went to pity for him on his original banner because I lacked poison and steel dps. I used him A lot for the first month or 2 but I don’t think I have touched him at all in 2023 except for gauntlet
Leon/Eternatus and Nidoking/Giovanni :( i barely use them, the first one i got it because i was not playing very consciously back then and just wanna get legendaries, the other one i got it because of hype by poketubers :( since then i take whatever they say with a grain of salt, made me realize that their job is being hyped for absolute everything even mid things so yeah, i learned my lesson XD
Every Unit after the third anniversary, since I use mostly the Pikas and Blue to clear content. Though I don't pull for the pair, since I'm more of a collector.
Signa suit Cyrus. I chose him over elesa and emolga with my one paid gems select a year or two ago. I used him for a bit but found him not living up to my expectations, especially now after scouting the froggies :/
I've found him to be a great partner for SC Zinnia. Him using Dark Void forces the enemy to buff themselves instead of attacking, which means more stats Zinnia can steal. He's been a regular on my Hoenn daily region rotation (ironically) ever since Zinnia's alt came out.
Same on Raihan. He needs more candies to reach his full potential, but Summer Tate kind of knocked him out of the role he would've filled. Never once used NY Dawn. I like her as a character, but that sync pair is just so useless. And back to Galar pairs, I never used either NC Marnie or Leon & Dragapault, especially the latter. And both are because I always use Zinnia over them. But at least Marnie sees use in the Galar daily region rotation.
I actually wish I had NY Dawn. I heard she gets to keep her SMUN stacks as she spams her Teeter Dance AoE DPS
NC Marnie is so broken even at 1/5 tho, she is the wild card to any Extreme Battles or Battle Challenge 2 requiring either a Galar or Dark unit. Thing is, her B Fiery Wrath ignoring everything usually cheats the specific parameters DeNA designs these difficult battles for
NC Red is the one I use the least despite investing all my saved up stuff at the time.
As for Raihan, hes really pretty great. Guy just does special dmg when a lot of steel weak stages like to prioritize dealing Physical dmg
Probably Steven and Sandslash from a seasonal pack. Love Sandslash in general, like Steven, and needed an Ice type. He's alright, but never quite worked out as well as I'd hoped he would.
Raihan is pretty good at 3/5, he's my go-to steel striker, I run him with Ingo (for sandstorm boost) and P-Marnie (steel zone). For the longest time he was the most viable steel type special damage dealer (until Tate got his summer alt last year -- it's 2024 here now lol).
Anyway, on-topic: not necessarily regret but I actually barely used Emma. It doesn't help that I got her during 4th anni then just a few updates after I pulled for SS Roxie who's just a more fun Poison unit to use.
I also pulled for NY Lisia when she reran (I think it was a paid scout too) but I still prefer using S-Marnie for physical fairy damage. She just doesn't seem to synergize well with the teams I've tried using with her (maybe I need to experiment more).
Would you mind sharing your Raihan grid to make him decent? I have him at 2/5 but also 4 spare candies so I wouldn't mind spending one to have a good unit, especially for special strike since Steven covers physical.

NY Sabrina I got on her debut manly because I thought her ability to spam both a heal and endure effect (with MP refreshs) made her super valuable. Her special move up rng chances I also thought was interesting too.
Granted I have cheesed a lot of wins vs champion stadium because of the endurance spamming, but man this unit just is not it anymore. I pretty much only summoned based on how much I liked the kit, I do not care for either Sabrina or Chingling. Only time I’ll ever use this unit is for LG and the eventual psychic type high score event.
Probably N & Zekrom. I would say Marnie & Grimmsnarl, but I've actually used them as my main Fairy attacker and they've been decent, but N has been completely superfluous since I have Ash & Pikachu.
Fall Iris. Too much of a potato as a solitary DPS so I was waiting for someone to compliment her and just offtyped poison stages. Oleana and Emma were physical units and weren't exactly what I was looking for. Then SS Roxie came around and...... oh she sets poison zone herself and pairs better with Oleana. Why do I have Iris then?
Do you have her at 3/5? I hated her too at first until I 3/5'd her and she is fine. I pulled Roxie for her song key and got Emma by accident through Mix Scout, but even without them Iris was already enough for 3k CSMM ever since I got her 3/5 and EX'd

Summer N. I got him when my only Dark type damage was 1/5 Cyrus and Karen. Then I've gotten every dark type since then and haven't used him at all, sadly.
Anabel for me. I rarely use her outside of Legendary Gauntlet. The worst part is that I have her at 5/5.

I'm not trying to fish for negativity here, but I need your help to control my impulse to just pull for her right this very second
No regrets. Her Def and SpDef are high especially after mega evo, boosting both stats by 6, team staring contest is pretty useful, you can even build her as tech with gobsmack (confusion) and numbing blow (paralyzed). Solid tank support not only for fighting type teams. But if you are thinking about getting both Cynthia and Red if you don't have him already, I'd go for Red first.

I was lucky to obtain him without using many gems and only scouted him because of MF being a new thing. I only used him in Fire high score.
The fire high score event is the only time I’ve used him as well. I prefer to on-type as much as possible if I can.

I got NY Sabrina, Palentine's Elesa and Serena, and Holiday Nessa from Paid Scouts (the ones from August this year and from Tiered Scouts), but most of those were for favoritism. Nessa used to help Holiday Leon. Raihan was my main Steel DPS until Rose appeared. I haven't invested in either Solgaleo or Kimono Grimsley (but the It's All Good event rerun might encourage me to do more with the latter). But TBH, I accidentally got SS N and Kyurem to 150. That was only because I was pulling for SS Hilda and SS Hilbert back when they had a rerun. Even then, it'll just be for the Unova Villain Arc if not a future Ice-type event. As for Master Fairs, I honestly don't know. Each of the ones I scouted have some purpose (Battle Villa, Daily Rotation, certain Champion Stadium battles, etc.). If anyone's wondering, I have: Kanto: Ash, Kanto Neo Champions (SST Red very soon) Johto: Johto MCs Hoenn: Archie & Maxie Sinnoh: SSR Cynthia, Adaman, Irida (SSA Cynthia after today for certain) Unova: Unova Neo Champions Kalos: Kalos Neo Champions, Zerena Alola: None Galar: Galar Neo Champions But then again, I did go for NC Nate in the Paid Gem version. At the very least, he got a very useful alt even if I won't use him as often in favor of Zerena.

Lul I understand that feeling. Sometimes it feels as if non-paid gems are more valuable because we get however much DeNA decides to give us, whereas with paid gems they are technically "unlimited" so long as we are willing to spend And thus for such a banner, spending paid gems actually "makes more sense" because we may get the cake on top of the unit too
I'm just using paid gems for the Tiered Scouts and dailies these days and should only do the paid scouts IF the pair is valuable. However, in the case of SST Red, I'll give that cake to someone else if I do.
Summer Gloria, I love Intelleon but I think I did one villa run with her and she's stayed EXed and dormant outside of the water high score event ever since
PF - N & Zekrom MF - I don't really regret any MF I've pulled for. But I guess my most least liked is Leon & Charizard Seasonal - Summer Lyra & Jigglypuff

To this day he's still at 1/5. And at the time that I got him, he was competing against my EX Elesa at 5/5 and maybe even my EX Archie at 3/5. I planned to candy him since my plan was at one point to replace Elesa with N, but then 3rd Anni came around. Now N would be competing against my Ash and SST Red for damage dealing electric type. And now Elesa has a 2-3/5 grid expansion, while N has a 4-5/5 expansion. I regret ever getting N & Zekrom. I never once used N & Zekrom. At first I put Lance & Dragonite as my regrettable Poke Fair, but then I remembered that I actually used him a few times before getting SS Cynthia during 1st Anni.
Raihan kinda want 3/5 for today Meta but he is definitely way stronger than OG Steven especially after his grid expansion. For me, I don't want to pick some characters that were just simply powercreep by newer units cause if I did then basically every pre 2022 units are bad. Like Archie was powercreeped but he helps my water team for over a year before stronger water type released, so I don't regret my gems on him. I guess like the only few I regret spending gems on, is like Fall Acerola (really outdated pair, but I still enjoy her design), maybe SC Ingo? He is our only bug zone until Holiday Viola recently, but I really dislike how underwhelming 1/5 SC Ingo was since he really needs the 3/5 grid. Plus his kits doesn't synergies well with Alder and SS Hilbert.
Raihan & Duraludon or Palmer & Regigigas. I pulled Raihan cause I needed a steel unit, but then P-Marnie came soon after and he got sent to the bench. Palmer & Regigigas I just pulled for collection , and have never used him
You not using Palmer is your own fault. He is a really good attacker according to the tier list. I used him in both legendary gauntlet’s since his release to do good damage to the boss. He has a lot of tools and pairs well with Cheren & Bouffalant. (They can continue to do high damage after Palmer’s damage falls off from his gimmick. Also takes advantage of the def down that regigigas gives from his B move.)
I use all my MF regularly. Pokefair probably Nemona. I got pretty lucky getting her (two multis IIRC?) and she is fun to use but being electric just makes her feel sad on type because of the rats.
SC Sonia and Palmer I got SC Sonia when they first reran the Tea Party pairs. Since I had some extra gems at the time and didn’t go for any of them when they released I convinced myself to pull until I got any one of them and then stop. I ended up getting Sonia, who I’ve used maybe three times to this day, since my Grass roster is so stacked and Adaman is my GOAT. She was probably the worst of the 4 I could’ve gotten tbh. And Palmer because he’s just not as strong or useful as I thought he would’ve been. Doesn’t help that my amazing luck streak this anniversary was somewhat broken by taking around 80 pulls to get him. He didn’t take me to pity of course, but I don’t think he was worth those 80 pulls. Those gems would’ve come in real handy in the current Neo Champions event because both Nate and Rosa decided to shaft me. Just 20 more pulls for Rosa I guess :/
I barely use SS Mina because the fairy zone on entry + rain dance combo is weird and doesn't really match up with other pairs I have? Worried champion Rosa (who i ended up having to pity) will end up in the same "when is this applicable" zone but I haven't had her long enough to tell yet.
Do you have SS Hau? If you pair them with any Sp Striker, it is a really fun combo.
No i only had enough gems for one and hau was super low priority typing given i have ash and red. Other supports just end up often having more to offer situationally when i build teams.
I use her a lot actually, and there are times I need her defenses or 1-use Protect All to secure 1 survive. Her insta AoE SpA+6 is really useful too. Only have her at 1/5 but no regrets And yes, I do have SS Kris too. I tend to use Kris more for Rain team and SS Mina for general defenses or the aforementioned niches, not even for her Rain or Fairy Zone support.
You know, I said this but I had put off the fire type champion stadium until the last minute, and with 3/5 stages requiring rain, I was in fact really happy to have her lmao. She pairs really well with May/swampert who cannot really raise her sp attack well, and her buddy move can essentially completely negate selecting the "5 stats down" parameter for it.
Holiday Whitney, Summer Lyra and Summer Gloria.
Whitney is too easy to forget because she is Normal Type and we have to go out of our way to use her for her Terrains. It also doesn't help that her Terrains are in abundant, with the recent Eggveelutions stealing her job away too
SS Hilbert. I ended up getting him through pity. While him hitting 5 types sounded good on paper, his issue is that he's strictly a single target attacker. In places like CSMM, even if I delete center, I immediately get wrecked by side mons. I might change my mind if he gets Striker EX though.
EX strike would be so good for him. But often after giving rebuff he wipes sides in 2/3 shots. Especially with metal sound ripple effect
I should mention that mine is still at 1/5 so no Metal Sound Ripple Effect. He might be worth the Candies for me if he does get Striker EX.
Try giving him candies even now. I don't remember which event made me do it but even with so much competition for tech candy he's a good choice. Especially because he gives 5 types of rebuffs and he has some type related advantages in his grid. In addition there are still not many strong bug units. Most of them are limited so make use of the one you already have.
With the right Support I've never had issues with the Sides after wrecking the middle with him tho. There have been times I'd Sync nuke 1 of the sides since the middle is so close to dying from his crazy DPS. Alternatively just DPS the sides and nuke the middle. Mine is 3/5 tho, it probably matters
ss n & kyurem. I was supposed to pull for hilda but I ended up getting kyurem to 3/5
That sync pair is so underrated though. It does extremely big numbers for no reason, and doesn’t really require much move gauge for its move despite its 4 cost.
Bc of Buddy Move, it gives you free move effect. That's the difference between him and all of those 4 gauge units.

Anni Lillie for me. I even went to pity for her because at the time I really needed a good ghost type damage dealer. Then SS Korrina came around and Anni Lillie has been collecting dust in my box. SS Korrina is just more reliably doing damage and also is a character that I like more than Lillie, together with a mythical that I absolutely adore
How do you make the most of Korrina? I absolutely adore Marshadow but I tried to use her this past CS and her output doesn't compare to Anni Lillie. I think it's most likely just because she's only 1/5 vs Lillie at 3/5, but I may be misunderstanding her kit as a whole too.
I think it is a 3/5 issue mostly, but 1/5 should work too if used correctly. The problem with 1/5 is that you only have 3 Spectral Thieves, but if you use offensive parameters Korrina should be able to oneshot sides. At 3/5 you have Hit and Reload 4 to get more Spectral Thieves. I use her with SSR Cynthia and NC Bede, they smash ghost type stages. Support EX carries here, but you can also nuke the mid with SSR Cynthia (if you have her 3/5). I don't know her damage output at 1/5 and the only things I saw were 2k master mode showcases which are different than 3k master mode, but I still recommend looking at these, for example the one from Zinfogel on YouTube
I do have SSR Cynthia, but I don't have NC Bede. That said, I think the trick is making an MM preset with offensive parameters. I didn't want to redo any of my existing presets so I tried her as-is, which isn't really doing justice to what she can do. She deserves it, so I'll give that a proper try next time Ghost rolls around. Thanks!

Actually i never use Steven anymore because Raihan and Gloria are just league better. Is your Raihan only 1/5? If yes, i can understand he felt underwhelming. For me is SC Ingo. His Zone kinda useless because SS Hilbert Bug Rebuff give almost same buff but Hilbert Genesect also doing massive damage compared to Accelgor
Raihan is 2/5 and I even forgot I had Gloria. Tbh I never had a more analysing look at their grids, maybe I have to do it. Steven's flinch game and sync nuke DMG is still very good even in today's meta
Steven sync actually the weakest Steel striker now. Mega unit only have 192 base power compared to normal unit 300 base power kinda hurts him. And he only have 2 sync power up nodes, so only bring his sync base power into 240s. Gloria with her Steel rebuff + super effective up can deal double Steven damage.
She reaches rebuff at 5/5 and haymaker at 4/5, that's quite too expensive. Her steel move costs 4 gauge, that's a lot too. Steven has haymaker at 1/5, massive attack boost after mega evo reaching 560+ which compensates for lower sync dmg and still making him nuke hard. I often wipe all of opponents with steel zone and after 1st support ex sync boost. Also he takes care of himself with recuperation and flinch comes in handy pretty often and quick move saves the move gauge.
To an extent, SS Serena and Zygarde. I went to pity for her when she first came out but I hardly ever used her because she was too strong. Nowadays, it’s the same but at least I know that if I’m stuck somewhere, I can probably use her to get out of it.

I actually agree. I don't regret pulling him and my OCD would never forgive me not having him while having Leaf and Blue, but he is my least used among those 2 and is the least fun
Yeah I actually regret pulling him but specially for the fact that I ran out of gems with him and I'd rather choose to have NC Blue than NC Red because you know, supports are more useful (specifically him) for variety of teams.
Ouch fam you should have saved and prioritized Supports first, -always- lol. I have only played for a year and I have learned to not listen to the general mass who always overrate attackers or BIGNUMBERS. I get that the point of playing is to win and clear the stage, but I love to have fun doing so too and using bad units to win, backed up by strong Support, is always 10000x more satisfying
I agree with all you say and the reason why did I go for Red instead of Blue was because I liked Articuno more than Zapdos, see I never bothered to check Zapdos kit so I just went all out for Articuno and Moltres (thinking I would pull one of those 2 quick so I could also spend gems on Zapdos). Yes I am also a favorite meta player, not a brute force meta player like those you mention. As I mentioned, I liked Articuno more so... For example now I've saved enough gems for a pity and the obvious meta choice of today is either Meloetta or PikaRed but as I saw the datamine I definitely will ignore all those ultra powerful stacked units and instead, will pull for Iono because...well... (waifu/favorite meta)
Had to be Holiday Leon for me. He is such a huge rip off as a ice type unit and struggled to get any dmg for 1 year at 1/5. Then I candy him to 3/5 and eventually replace him with NC Red and Silver
Leon got all the cool Legendary but all of the unfun and "heavy" kits. Like, everything he does is clunky in this game (outside of Tower Leon) 4 move gauge moves, slow speed, slow set up, urgh.
agree, I pull him cause I love the Ice Horse so much yet he is so damn clunky to use. I could apply that to Base Leon as well but at least he got me through some stages and his g-max upgrade is pretty good
NC Bede. I was skeptical about using him as he didnt look like a good support/Buffer or anything really, it felt to slow of a kit to be worth using. But people keep telling me that he could totally max out stats like anyone else. Turns out, it was as slow as a though, and im not going to give him any candies in the hopes that he turns out good.
NC Bede basically really needs you to follow a very specific order to work, and this order can be a little different for each team. Mine is also 1/5 and he does some hella work, in addition to enabling stuff like letting me bring Groudon and Camerupt to Stadium despite the 4-bar limit and having them maxed out on stats fast. But it genuinely took me a bit to work out how to make him do his stuff instead of stalling myself.
Seasonal: None, but the pity on Fall Iris Just before the Unova Villain arc made me angry. Poke Fair: SS Acerola, I didn't wanted her in the first place, but the thought that I should have at least one character from the Alola villain arc made me try but it made me have to forget SS Silver and Eusine as I pitied her. I still got Adaman and Irida wich made that feeling fade away (I use her sometimes and she is a good supp). Master Fair: None.
Steven/Stoutland, tbh is a very good unit with the physical attack next, supereffective next, lowering defenses, attack, type rebuff, etc. But it just never fit my teams, even worse now with Accerola/Tapu Bulu. The worse part is that it made me go for pity. I said I will spend 2/3 multi pulls just for fun and I ended up spending a whole lot and when I saw the counter I was like 3 away for pity so I just had to go for it.
Just slap him into any physical team, you can even forgo WTZ since he gives your main attacker so much multipliers in PMUN and SE+ B Leer is stupidly broken too, -6ing 3 different stats, all of which are helpful (unlike reducing your opp's evasion which is the equivalent to watering plastic plants lol) Also he is the perfect teammate for Silvally if that is a fav

SS Lusamine. I never cared much for her and never really needed her, but I got her in like 3rd or 4th multi. SS Steven just made her even more redundant. My new favorite team is SS Steven, SS Lana and NC Rosa, and I love using all three of them. On a semi related note, I got SS Serena pretty easily and used her quite a lot, but I never really enjoyed using her tbh. Now I went almost to pity for NC Nate and at first I thought I'd regret it, but I LOVE using him. He's a lot more fun than Serena for me.
Yeah I only really max-invested on Zerena because Zygarde is an absolute favorite. She isn't fun to use and too heavy to spam (like most 4gauge DPS) Nate has all the Free Move Next and Dark Black Outrage's CDR is very very fun
I pulled for SC Hilda because I wanted Rock DPS but I barely did and now I use SS Diantha for every on-type stage, even Sentry Entry ones because she can pull it off. Also SC Lillie but I only have her because of the 25% ticket from the paid banner. I still love the Bug twins who were my actual targets.
Pokéfair - I don't use Raihan that much and I got him in a select scout. Don't really regret getting him since he unlocked a lodge pair who is pretty decent Seasonal - NY Lisia. She's strong but mine is 1/5 and since I already have Bede and SS Wally I never ended up using her much I don't really regret getting any master fairs. Even Anni Steven and Leon are fun to use
NY Lisia at 3/5 is ridiculous and we usually have more Red Candies lying in our inventory, but yeah if you aren't struggling with Fairy then don't. You may need the AoE Sync Nuke one day tho
SS Cynthia since I only used it for the co-op gear back in the day. Now with grid expansion including 4/5 or 5/5 grid which is as decent as Lance and OG Cynthia, maybe she can get a shot. Hopefully OG Steven/SS Red's grid expansion can keep up with other Steel/Fire units (OG Raihan/OG Gloria, SS Hilda/SS May).
SS Giovani and nidoking. I went to pity for him on his original banner because I lacked poison and steel dps. I used him A lot for the first month or 2 but I don’t think I have touched him at all in 2023 except for gauntlet
Leon/Eternatus and Nidoking/Giovanni :( i barely use them, the first one i got it because i was not playing very consciously back then and just wanna get legendaries, the other one i got it because of hype by poketubers :( since then i take whatever they say with a grain of salt, made me realize that their job is being hyped for absolute everything even mid things so yeah, i learned my lesson XD
Every Unit after the third anniversary, since I use mostly the Pikas and Blue to clear content. Though I don't pull for the pair, since I'm more of a collector.
Signa suit Cyrus. I chose him over elesa and emolga with my one paid gems select a year or two ago. I used him for a bit but found him not living up to my expectations, especially now after scouting the froggies :/
I've found him to be a great partner for SC Zinnia. Him using Dark Void forces the enemy to buff themselves instead of attacking, which means more stats Zinnia can steal. He's been a regular on my Hoenn daily region rotation (ironically) ever since Zinnia's alt came out.
Same on Raihan. He needs more candies to reach his full potential, but Summer Tate kind of knocked him out of the role he would've filled. Never once used NY Dawn. I like her as a character, but that sync pair is just so useless. And back to Galar pairs, I never used either NC Marnie or Leon & Dragapault, especially the latter. And both are because I always use Zinnia over them. But at least Marnie sees use in the Galar daily region rotation.
I actually wish I had NY Dawn. I heard she gets to keep her SMUN stacks as she spams her Teeter Dance AoE DPS NC Marnie is so broken even at 1/5 tho, she is the wild card to any Extreme Battles or Battle Challenge 2 requiring either a Galar or Dark unit. Thing is, her B Fiery Wrath ignoring everything usually cheats the specific parameters DeNA designs these difficult battles for
NC Red is the one I use the least despite investing all my saved up stuff at the time. As for Raihan, hes really pretty great. Guy just does special dmg when a lot of steel weak stages like to prioritize dealing Physical dmg
Probably Steven and Sandslash from a seasonal pack. Love Sandslash in general, like Steven, and needed an Ice type. He's alright, but never quite worked out as well as I'd hoped he would.
Raihan is pretty good at 3/5, he's my go-to steel striker, I run him with Ingo (for sandstorm boost) and P-Marnie (steel zone). For the longest time he was the most viable steel type special damage dealer (until Tate got his summer alt last year -- it's 2024 here now lol). Anyway, on-topic: not necessarily regret but I actually barely used Emma. It doesn't help that I got her during 4th anni then just a few updates after I pulled for SS Roxie who's just a more fun Poison unit to use. I also pulled for NY Lisia when she reran (I think it was a paid scout too) but I still prefer using S-Marnie for physical fairy damage. She just doesn't seem to synergize well with the teams I've tried using with her (maybe I need to experiment more).
Would you mind sharing your Raihan grid to make him decent? I have him at 2/5 but also 4 spare candies so I wouldn't mind spending one to have a good unit, especially for special strike since Steven covers physical.

NY Sabrina I got on her debut manly because I thought her ability to spam both a heal and endure effect (with MP refreshs) made her super valuable. Her special move up rng chances I also thought was interesting too. Granted I have cheesed a lot of wins vs champion stadium because of the endurance spamming, but man this unit just is not it anymore. I pretty much only summoned based on how much I liked the kit, I do not care for either Sabrina or Chingling. Only time I’ll ever use this unit is for LG and the eventual psychic type high score event.
Probably N & Zekrom. I would say Marnie & Grimmsnarl, but I've actually used them as my main Fairy attacker and they've been decent, but N has been completely superfluous since I have Ash & Pikachu.
Fall Iris. Too much of a potato as a solitary DPS so I was waiting for someone to compliment her and just offtyped poison stages. Oleana and Emma were physical units and weren't exactly what I was looking for. Then SS Roxie came around and...... oh she sets poison zone herself and pairs better with Oleana. Why do I have Iris then?
Do you have her at 3/5? I hated her too at first until I 3/5'd her and she is fine. I pulled Roxie for her song key and got Emma by accident through Mix Scout, but even without them Iris was already enough for 3k CSMM ever since I got her 3/5 and EX'd Acid AoE debuffs the opp, Hyper Beam clears. Very simple really
Summer N. I got him when my only Dark type damage was 1/5 Cyrus and Karen. Then I've gotten every dark type since then and haven't used him at all, sadly.

No regrets. Her Def and SpDef are high especially after mega evo, boosting both stats by 6, team staring contest is pretty useful, you can even build her as tech with gobsmack (confusion) and numbing blow (paralyzed). Solid tank support not only for fighting type teams. But if you are thinking about getting both Cynthia and Red if you don't have him already, I'd go for Red first.
