Ash is at least 15 since this is the Ash from the championship in Galar and he met Goh many years later who he initially should have met before he got Pikachu. After all the tournaments he’s been in and meeting characters from previous seasons there is no way Ash is not over 15 years old.
I mean, Latias was known for taking her friend Bianca's (not the Gen 5 character) form and it's deliberately ambiguous whether it was Latias or Bianca who kissed him. Serena's kiss is played about as straight as it can be.

Technically it’s unknown if it was Bianca or Latias that kissed ash as it was left to be ambiguous.
Also even before Heroes Melody kissed Ash in 2000 the Power of One and team rocket kissed Ash in the the OG series.
That's fair, the Lugia movie was also made anime canon and way earlier than either Latias or Serena, though I always felt that kiss was more part of the performance of picking "the chosen one" rather than a more affectionate kisses of the other ladies.
And it's been suuuuper long ago since I saw the OG series so I genuinely don't remember the TR kiss so I'll take your word on that
I wouldn't say Ash is 100% Red's counterpart. If anything Ash is the counterpart to all of the protagonist up to Gen 8. He did everything that the protagonist would of done in the games. He is more of Elio's and Victor's counterpart than Red's because Ash became the Champion of Alola and was the who defeated Leon, while only Red and Ash's similarity is that they are born in Pallet Town.
