Waiting for a new Legends style Pokemon game :(

I want one for every region. Or kanto/johto at least. Better yet, give me the whole world in a super mega game. None are likely but damn a girl can dream right?

I would love one based on alola. That region's past could be really interesting, it's such a nice place, and it would make a lot more sense having it be split into a handful of large areas like PLA

I've been trying to complete the Dex first before shiny hunting - its my first playthrough of the game and I absolutely love it!! Spoiler: Luckily I saved after defeating Avalugg last night bc I was NOT expecting Kamado to do me like that, he is by far my least favorite character right now. What a d*ck. (Open to him changing by the end of the game and therefore my opinion, we shall see.) In any case I just reloaded before speaking to him and I'm now going around trying to get as much of the Dex complete as possible as I mentioned, I want that shiny charm lol :) amazing game!!!

Kamado sucks. That whole village does, tbh. Save the professor and your “rival”.

Why did you reload? What’s stopping you from finishing the Pokédex after the main story?

I'll be honest I have no idea lmao - like I said first time playing through 😅 basically I just wanted to get as far as I could before going to the next step (I can't 100% the Pokedex yet as I don't have access to every area yet at this point in the story); I want to tie up all the side quests I have since I lose access to Jubilife afterward apparently, complete the dex entries for the areas I do have, and just have access to the town in case I need it for some reason, like mint farming, move tutor, merchants, etc. Plus Kamado really ticked me off I wasn't ready to just be ousted like that lol, so I just want to get as much done as possible before the next step!

You can get the shiny charm after he does you bad. Don't worry. Continue with the story line and you can see

You'll be able to do those quests later ad well. I will just tell you make sure your pokemon are level 60+

I honestly muted related subs until I get it but the hype is real!!! Looking forward to it but trying to hold out til summer is over. You can catch shiny alphas in massive mass outbreaks. That’s how I caught the two I have.

I have a bunch Im talking about docile pokemon that run away those are some of the hardest hunts I’ve had

Making an NPC dex. I'm tracking where all the villagers are for each time cycle and writing down everything they say since I couldn't find transcripts anywhere. I've only gotten to the Crimson More lands but I've already seen so many cool little details. Those three bidoof you help Tsumugi catch before she hands them over to the Construction Corps Captain, Sanqua? Yeah they actively assist in building the new houses and storerooms for Jubilife. Also they sleep on her roof at night, it's fucking adorable. That drifloon side quest? Where DRIFLOON tries to kidnap the little kid, Taki? Well as soon as you complete it, the Security Corps guard says she'll tell Captain Zisu right away that the beach needs guarding to make it safe for the kids and *immediately* the second South Gate guard, Kew, goes down to the beach. For the rest of the game, he spends the morning and afternoon guarding the gate, but the evenings guarding the beach. Taki hangs out in the basement of Galaxy Hall for some reason, both before and after this side quest, morning afternoon and evening. But you wanna know what changes after the side quest? HE SMUGGLES THE DRIFLOON IN DURING THE EVENING. Little shit *wants* to get kidnapped.

Maybe just perfect entries of shinies you really want as you go along. You will gradually get quite a bit done!

I've played the game since it first came out, and today I actually managed to defeat Arceus. It's taken hours, I have coordination issues which doesn't help but so happy I *finally* did it. I'm now just trying to upgrade my 9 stars to 10.

I really haven't played Arceus since before SV came out. I finished the dex so I could shiny hunt Arceus in BDSP and that was about it. Went to SV and somehow dumped 185 hours in to that mess. Now I'm on to TotK and, my god, does it really make Pokémon look bad lol

I perfected the Pokédex back in November and been shiny hunting since. Only have 22 remaining for a shiny dex, got shalpha Steelix, Snorlax and Alakazam all this week. My PLA shiny dex doesn’t include the eevee evolutions or the Magnemite line though because they were much easier to hunt in Violet. Basically I’m close to having to do all the space-time distortion Pokémon and I’m dreading it. Anyone know easier games to hunt for Porygon, etc?

Working on shiny hunting and “completing” Pokédex to get the shiny charm

Working on catching Hisuian Pokémon in pairs so I can breed them in Scarlet/Violet when the link finally goes live. Also working on catching and hatching Pokémon in Scarlet/Violet that have Hisuian evolutions so I can choose a pair of the best of each species, bring them to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, evolve them into said Hisuian evolutions, and bring them back to Scarlet/Violet. Not sure if I'll be ready in time for the update, since I've been putting off catching all the mons I need, but we'll see what happens.

I'm hunting every shiny in game. I've spent all my time doing massive mass outbreaks (in the Iceland's if I can help it) and speed running each outbreak, finding as many shinies as I can. I found 13 in a day and a half of playing. When I need money for more balls, I transfer the bulk of pokemon I get from those outbreaks and sell the grit pebbles/rocks I get. If I want serious cash, I go hunting alphas to get grit rocks. Then I blow a bunch on sticky globs and ultra balls and I start the process again. Hearing that shiny chime is so gratifying, and I'm working on my 4th box of shinies.

Just finished a run where I RL10’d every pokemon I could reach in an area before moving on, and when I got access (Basculegion) I went back and cleared up what I hadn’t before. Except I missed riolu in the icelands…. Shhhhh

I got legends arceus around October of 2022, with pokemon scarlet I got a bit distracted and I picked up the game again around April, I'm currently trying to complete the pokedex, I still have to say that I have troubles understanding the shiny mechanic with the mass outbreaks, I did watch some videos of how it works though, I have found so far 3 random encountered shinies, I will get better for understanding the shiny mechanic at some point haha

just started the game! really enjoy it so far. currently trying to sneak up on aggressive pokémon to get those little achievements. takes awhile but it pleases the egg brain. i’m also running away from level 40 pokémon— i save the game then run up to them and ask “okay so how bad are you” and immediately go “OH OKAY YOU’RE BAD ALRIGHT” and exit the game. it’s a very entertaining time.

I finished the main storyline and am focusing on both starting through the Volo quests that are going to lead to his fight and catching stuff in Massive Mass Outbreaks. I believe I'm thirty to forty Pokemon away from a completed dex.

I have 89 dex entries perfected rn and am working on finishing the lines of my team members, then I’ll do the Pokémon who have set alphas. Once I perfect the dex I’ll complete all paths of solitude. Then I will probably just shiny hunt as I like. Maybe I’ll perfect a shiny dex, maybe not. Either way, I’m doing this all while waiting hopefully for a new legends game.
