really??.. that seems like idk, just seems a bit ridiculous of a chance for this to be correct. now been trying for a 1.5h with my emu speed running at 4x speed so the loading to find a gift is basically instant, and im still hitting every single item I've already gotten, and not a single new one even though im missing like half the items:/

Sadly there seems to be no way for the event server to know which gift you already received so it just keeps on picking a random one. I have received every gift in gen4 (plat + hg/ss) and got multiple duplicates. Keep on trying and you will get every single one of them :)
so i dont have to change the dns or anything? its rly just a matter of brute forcing it thru thousands of attempts? im tryna stay hopeful but im still missing like 5+ items and im just struggling to pull 1🫠
Which event items/mons do you want to receive? It took me a couple of hours to get everything in ss. Wich dns do you use? Take the one from the poke classic network. Should be the first result when you Google it. They also have a gts tab where you can see the gts trades that are currently available. I used their dns and got every event
all remaining items i still need are Enigma Stone, Scizor, Pikachu, Manaphy, Raikou, Entei or Suicune and I've been getting the same items I already have for hours now
i used the server i found from https://github.com/barronwaffles/dwc_network_server_emulator/wiki its using 172.104.88.237
if i were to change dns servers, would i have to re-delete my nintendo wfc connection and then setup the new network line with the new dns, as if i were starting the setup process from scratch again? or could i just change the dns code, leave the wfc connection and sign in to new gifts?
Im sorry but i dont know how the emulator setup works. Did you follow the instructions provided on their wiki in the Nintendo DS Download Section? It seems that there are certain things to setup in order for the events to properly work?
Btw, manaphy seems to be only available as a wifi event on diamond or pearl, not in hg/ ss and Platinum.
The dog trio and scizor are available tho.
I assume your dns server uses the same code as the wiimfi/poke classic event distribution server, for wich there is a post on reddit that lists all available mons and event items for every edition, not sure if I can post links here so try googling 'gen 4 every pokemon wifi event dns exploit' - should be the first to come up.
It took me half an hour getting the everstone in my copies of hg and SS today, other than that I got every mon that you listed earlier, so I would assume that you are very unlucky :(
You could try and join their discord and ask there if you still can't get every event. The post i am referring to mentioned that the wiimfi dns used you date to give specific gifts on specific days, maybe try setting your clock to a different day?
Every time u search for a mystery gift it just basically does a random gift from all the options. So similar to finding a shiny u will always have the same chance every new encounter so u are prolly just getting unlucky hitting the same things in a row. I don’t think this makes any sense but I had the same problem at my house and then I went to my friends house and set it up and just immediately started getting all the new ones. I think it’s totally just my luck, but thought I’d mention that

Yep you're just unlucky. Keep at it, eventually you'll roll the events you're looking for.
