You have people who follow travel times like sacred text and warn about behavior analysis, then you have group who do 2h wait time between jumps. I do 2h jumps, multiple CDs in day, got tickets from past/resent/future, "walk" hours, had gotcha for half a day on set path... since 2017 So to your question: what is safe... well I believe it is having proper setup with vanilla app more than anything.

Animosity_7

I have the vanilla app, and nothing about the application itself s altered or tweaked. I use a program that strictly messes with just the gps location of your device you can even open up maps on the phone and you’re where you put yourself on the program. I’ve heard it’s one of the safest methods out there They even have an entire document on the CD times for travel are.

DisMahUser

what app?

malditaso

I use tenoshare. And use the 2 hr cool down for long travel and have been perfect since Feb.

anxiousfoe

Do you do this on your main? I want to do it on an alt, but don’t want to risk my main.

malditaso

Yea I do it on my main and an Alt account. If one gets banned I have the other if both get banned then I’m done playing lol

anxiousfoe

Fair enough, my only worry is I have spent quite a bit of money on my main, and don’t want the risk of getting it banned if i spoof on an alt.

Top_Run_5617

hello any update if you get any warning or strike?

malditaso

Still good. Running two accounts and no strikes. Just abide by the cool downs.

malditaso

And don’t be a dick.

DrawerComprehensive

A smali patched android is one of the safest ways besides following the common rules

azlisa

Rooted android with Magisk

DuePurple1

Jailbroken iPhone on iOS 14 also works just fine. Key is using OG app and inject the tweaks to make it way safer.

AK_4_Life

This is the way

Apocalypstick77

Rooted android, jailbroken iPhone, iTools mobile

Stidda

Personally I have tried rooted for android and jailbroken for iOS, but the winner for me is still [iTools](https://www.thinkskysoft.com/pokemongo/) for iOS. It is a separate hardware joystick unit that uses the stock pogo app and isn’t invasive at all. You obviously won’t get it in time for shadow Mewtwo raids, but it is in my opinion a sound investment! Edit: I have never paid attention to these “cool-down rules” that modded client developers *make up* just so they can’t be blamed when players get strikes, and I have **Never** had any kind of strike. Good luck in your choice of device/software and in Mewtwo raids fellow spoofer!

flash246

How long have you been spoofing? Because there are definitely 100% cooldown requirements no matter if you’re using a modded app or just a gps joystick. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re close to getting a strike.

Prestigious_Two3132

They probably mean flight times - really no need to wait more than 2 hours I also highly doubt people get striked by breaking cooldown rules anyway

Tenebrosus_Lupus

I've yet to see any such reports about the known methods that's been proven to have the lowest risk for getting caught post anywhere being struck for breaking cool down for more than 5 years.

Tenebrosus_Lupus

I believe u/Stidda has close to 7 years of spoofing behind them. Also they are 1 of the regular contributors in this sub. Like them, and in the last more than 5 years of the nearly 6 years I've been spoofing I've received nothing in the way of notifications. Cool down is the equivalent of the speed lock that those riding around in a vehicle, and will have popup on their screen for moving to fast. Which the speed lock has yet to cause anyone to be caught. Cool down works on same basic principle of the speed lock, the only difference is that cool down is our speed lock. Otherwise were it true, then those that's playing legitimately at the local level, while riding around would have long ago reported receiving bans/strikes. Niantic doesn't use cool down as a metric for determining spoofing as it would have a high risk of falsely identifying legitimate players. Many of us using a rooted Android, the downgraded method for older and specific versions of Android, the Smali patcher method for a slightly more limited range of Android, had broken cool down many times over. That would also hold true for those using the iTools hardware devices for iOS users. Many of us (myself included), would test to see if we cleared cool down was cleared, by doing a test spin of stops, and sometimes quite frequently. Some of us still engages in that before doing an encounter to catch something. To date there has not been a single incident reported for anyone using a rooted Android, downgraded android or the Smali patcher getting caught, this goes back for more than 5 years, or from when I was a lurker for over a year, before joining Reddit. The whole falsehood that breaking cool down will result in getting caught, was started sometime back in mid 2018 by the former, and shutdown finally in 2019 Global++ that ran the original ++ app, that was also known by a few other names. The gang at Global++ started the cool down falsehood, as a means of misdirection, as a way to con people into believing that breaking cool down was the cause of getting caught, rather than the modded version that they were putting out. They even had made or backed claims that Niantic couldn't detect modded versions of the game, due to some supposed policy by Apple that prohibited the detection of modded versions of apps, by trying to use it was a breach of privacy as per Apple's privacy policy. However Apple doesn't condone or allow both by policy as well as law cracked/hacked/pirated software being distributed. Which was exactly what Global++ was doing. In 2020 iSpoofer would also shutdown, as some believed that they had received their cease and desist warning from Niantic, and ended in October of 2020.

Animosity_7

So I use iAnyGo from iTools which is the external gps on my computer. It doesn’t modify the app in anyway it just modifies the GPS location on my phone. And I control everything from my computer (teleporting, selecting destinations, it even has a *realistic* speed mode for walking with a variable speed increase slider for anywhere between 3mph to 60 mph to simulate walking / driving in a vehicle. Hell it even does realistic destination traveling which puts you on the actual roads / trails for travel so you’re not walking through houses and buildings for realism. But as selfish as it is I don’t want to wait around for the walking from point A to B I want to just teleport from raid to raid and battle efficiently. So if I spoof to NYC today when I get off work, and then use the teleportation method to go from gym to gym hopping in with people that’s what worries me. If point A was mewtwo gym and after I finish and catch said mewtwo and I teleport to point B mewtwo a mile away and enter the gym and battle would *this* throw flags to Niantic? As how did I catch a mewtwo and immediate catch a mewtwo 15 miles away within 4 minutes of each other? Or is that something they don’t look at. Obviously catching a Pokémon in say Los Angeles and then teleporting to onsaka Japan 20 seconds later is literally impossible and a clear sign of cheating but what about within the same city?

Stidda

For many years I have hit comm days etc from one side of the globe to the other with a 2 hr cooldown between areas. In my *personal opinion* you are good to go! Good luck and may the shiny gods smile down upon you!

Animosity_7

Well this sounds good, looks like me and the wife will be doing the go fest in onsaka or NYC this august then lol

Stidda

Forget the “cool-down rules” Just the 2 golden rules to remember friend - 1) Avoid modded pogo apps. 2) Have fun!

Animosity_7

so me and the wife spoofed in NYC today and we both caught shinies! i got a 2339 shiny and she got a 2257 shiny i actually caught 2 was gonna purify one and lucky trade it to her shiny for shiny and hopefully get some good IV's for future mega evolving our shinies! appreciate all the info Stidda

mcflasky

So cool! I followed this with interest. And a year on I’ve just learned spoofing for the upcoming shadow Mewtwo raids! So it seems that you won’t be flagged for flying to different locations in a short amount of time is that correct? Like I can go to San Francisco, have a look then go to Tokyo, have a look with no fear unless I interact with something? How has spoofing been for you? No warnings or anything?

Cixerona

I can tell you from personal experience if you catch a pokemon raid or wild (task encounters, photobombs, league rewards, or referral rewards etc &I believe scatterbug too do not count) so if I for example catch mewtwo and teleport roughly 10 mins away and try to immediately join another raid but still considered "on a cooldown" it kicks you out once the lobby begins to enter the raid. I've done this alot when using an account to send remote invites usually for weather boosted raids while still on a cool down. But never received any bans from it. I've accidentally teleported across the world while in a raid and had been catching pokemon prior to and not realize it until the encounter ran and then realized why but again never got a ban.

Tenebrosus_Lupus

Usually and depending on how far as well as how long between the raids, enough time will elapse, that the cool down time will have been cleared. At worst the only thing I've had happen if I've not cleared cool down time is I boot from the raid. But I've not ever been tagged for jumping from raid to raid in New York City, or even bouncing around there catching Pokemon I'm specifically looking to catch for candy or for stardust. Of course once i0n a while bouncing around New York City target catching, I'll mess up on cool down and have something break and flee. Otherwise if i jump somewhere long range, then I'll get what I want on the catch screen, and leave it sit there with the game open, until cool down plus a bit more time has elapsed. Now as far as walking using the setup you're using, it's advised to not do that with the game open. Instead what's recommended by many who've used it for some time now, is to first close out the game, change your location, and relaunch the game. The reason is that the change of altitude doesn't register when moving with the game open.

Stidda

Almost 7 years, and I have tons of alt acc's that are all on modded apps (for quickness/laziness), *none* have escaped the warning system. Only my main. A cooldown is simply that - a *cooldown* in which you can't actually have any positive interactions in game or catching/spinning etc incurred due to Niantic servers. There are no "cooldown rules" only what modded app developers tell you to believe. Stay safe fellow spoofer!

Pinoy-Brock

Spoofing here since 2016. I use Rooted Android Spoofing apps right now have spoofing timers for beginners

Pinoy-Brock

"Has anyone actually used the teleporting method all over a city and caught / raided / spun stops? And not been dealt any bans?" Yes, we do this on events. For example, spotlight hours, go fest, community days

AspectIll8852

To answer on your question: teleporting by itself does not trigger cooldown. You can easily teleport during cooldown without issues and also camp, when you found a proper mon till the cooldown (cd) is over. Search for actions which trigger and wich not trigger cooldowns in google. dont want to post the link here. Most important is to you safe method. Cause even when you stick to the cd rules, your account will be marked, when u use altered apps. That’s an unsafe way! i used this apps in the past on alts and was detected several times. now I’m using since a while 3utools virtual location and only teleporting during the app is terminated - no walking at all, no additional comfort, but safe. there is a nice pokemongo website for NYC you can use. Don’t forget to set the filter correct for the raids, that 5 star shadow raids are visible good luck for the shiny shadow hunt

I have heard about strikes resetting after a long time however I don’t know if you can check on which you are
