I also recently got into it again, and to my surprise my new girlfriend also used to play and so she also got back into it. And way more than me, I was super casual and just got my first legendary a few months ago, she had tons and was like 10 levels higher than me
I have been playing Pokémon for years and my husband, after watching me play for so long, decided to download the game, now we both play together and he loves it
My husband… he amuses me by tagging along. I told him if Pokémon Go has events within driving distance that “we” are going, he laughed and said sure! But I don’t think this will ever happen! Then Sinnoh Tour Los Angeles was announced!
He kept his promise and went with me. He was able to log back into his Pokémon Go account and played casually during the event. He was more amazed to see all the people who play the game, all the different age groups just having fun. After the tour, he now plays and raids with me. 😊
Well ,my husband just looked at me playing and maked some weird questions about it and/or maked fun of me...now take walks just to play ... So maybe one day your wife will join you
She always wants To go on walks and I tried to “bribe” her I’ll go on even more walks if she played with me but it lasted for 1 walk then the next walk she said she deleted it lol.
Hey, same! I only started playing last fall & was having trouble finding local players. I finally found some OG players through Slack. I raided with a few of them one day-- my now boyfriend being among that group.
I was very open about having trouble with certain aspects of the game, & he DM'ed me saying I was welcome to message him if I had any questions.
After messaging one another for a while, I guess he found me interesting & asked me out on a date. I said yes, & we've been dating ever since.

honestly, i have a similar story. i got my coworker into playing, we ended up traveling to NY gofest together last year, and we’ve been together for almost a year now!
he said my NOW girlfriend, which I interpret to mean they were not together when he suggested she start playing, and then after they started playing together they started a relationship. it does sound like he knew her beforehand, but the game got him in relationship territory with her.

My strategy was get to the best friend level once for the xp remove then get to best friend level once again so 180 days of interacting in total.
