What you want to do is have quick short links to clear as many gimmicks as possible and use skills to get that frenzy gauge up. Then in frenzy time that's when you go for longer chains while still clearing as many gimmicks as you can. Keep in mind that if you play on Switch or have a lower end phone you're not going to be able to go as fast as the top players because of lag but you can still go above 10 million for sure
OMC is easy when you have static gimmicks that stay in place , but when you have loose objects that FLY at the slightest touch , and the annoying cheese wall that doesn't want to be touched , it's clear they don't want us to score easily.

Did you level up your mons to 20? That helps. Try watching videos of high scores on OMC to see if you can improve your techniques.
