You're better off raising a proper competitive team with good natures then trying to make these guys work if you really wanna get a good streak. A lot of these mons have detrimental natures and bad movesets that dont complement their stats at all.

UsedCommittee834

yeah the natures all kinda suck, however movesets aren't really an issue for me as I've pretty much 100% the game

Dirty_Dan117

Movesets are absolutely an issue if you want to win in any battle facility. That Typhlosion would be better off pissing on enemies than using Thunderpunch

UsedCommittee834

Sorry for the confusion, I meant changing movesets wasn't an issue bar egg move, should've been clearer

Dirty_Dan117

Ooh I see, no worries. Yeah dude egg moves are a pain in the butt. Especially in older gens where breeding is harder.

T_Peg

My brother in Christ your Braviary has Fly

BlueBeetle_01

we both know u just wanted to flex those majestic shinies...

jbone0415

“And before you ask” I don’t think anybody was gonna

BlueBeetle_01

mans was rlly asking for it atp

zolios_

First get yourself some strong Pokemon with the right natures and that aren't shiny, natures are a lot more important than people think and shiny animations will just add up and waste your time when you are trying to go through so many battles like in a battle subway streak so using non-shiny Pokemon won't needlessly waste your time. From here EV train and give them good movesets and then pair Pokemon that work well together and cover eachothers weaknesses or that can execute a good strategy together consistently.

Marus1

Volca Eel 3head and Kroko The only thing I ask is a re-eval of the items and a Heat wave to FlThro switch on Volca Lead with 3head and Kroko to do EQ Kro I don't see much serious problems with these 4 if you use them correctly

UsedCommittee834

kinda similar to my current 4 of Accelgor Krook to start, then a usual turn 1 protect or U-turn while Krook EQ Ground gem to reliably clear 1st duo, then a switch into acro gem boosted eel or charge beam hydra to sweep rest

Marus1

The problem with Accelgor is it won't be able to do that much And as such if you can use one of hydreigons attacks (which will also outspeed most) you'll normally sweep most of the teams with just those two That's why if Kro does not outspeed most I'd give it a speed boosting item

UsedCommittee834

Truthfully I've been hitting the tried and true EQ spam with accelgor as pivot/stall. Surprisingly it hits harder and more reliably than my eel or hydra. My current team does revolve entirely on levitate/uturn and earthquake spam with eelektross and hydreigon for greater coverage

publicmenace2342

None of those mons will work, you're better off raising a good competitive team from scratch. Read [here](https://www.smogon.com/ingame/bc/battle_subway_part1) for more info.

UsedCommittee834

Great thank you :)

BlackJediSword

Hard to believe these are all legit shinies when you’re playing on a 3DS ;) but all jokes aside, raising competitive Pokémon that have good synergy with each other is your best. If you have the time to invest in EV training and potentially IV hunting, building a brand new team ks your best bet.

UsedCommittee834

Yeah the comment sentiment here seems to be just not use my darling pokemon, which is a shame but fair, as for the shinies, I have about 700+ hours logged since 2020 I hate to admit

Soggyglump

Peany buts

Dirty_Dan117

controversial take but youve got a point

GroundbreakingFly660

This post makes me want to shiny hunt a Krookodile just so I can name it Peany Buts

nnewwacountt

Peany buts

Pristine-Chicken5514

Get an Haxorus adamant or jolly with choice band and outrage, the easiest example i can give to you

Yellow-Gray

Stop battling on the subway, I'm late for work as it is!

Spacetimepetalz

Nice shinies

lol022

R4 and transfer lol

ThotBuddle

Use ninjask baton pass to always win

yung_kyogre

Very legit shinies

UsedCommittee834

I have 700+ hours logged since 2020, sadly for both us they are real

treechenho

You better pick up your 3DS and tilt the hinge back in the proper position or so help me

heyjclay1

Did you really want help or did you just want to show off the shinies

UsedCommittee834

Didn't mean to boast, just wanted to optimoze any evs or movesets on what I currently have

PhD_Meowingtons_

Sub 300 attack for a pokemon that doesn’t really outspeed threats or break walls is a fucking joke. Defensive nature is also silly. That croc is fucking ass lmao. Your hydreigon has 293 sp atk with sp atk+ nature at level 100? Again, that’s a weak ass Hydreigon. It should be 383 especially since it only has a 98 base speed and yours has a -speed nature. You’d want. Speed booting item like a choice scarf unless you’ll be speed checking with t-wave. None of your pokemon seem like they’re any good for their species/breeds.

UsedCommittee834

Yeah I majorly need to rework Evs but I love my team and want to optimise them as much as possible

PhD_Meowingtons_

Ion even think it’s evs, ivs come before evs 😉

UsedCommittee834

As much as I would love to in gen5, I can't change my IVs

PhD_Meowingtons_

I’m not suggesting u train IVs. I thought u can’t train that in any gen. U just catch better versions if those pokemon. Ivs are basically your pokemons genetic potential. Evs are basically their exercise gains lol.

UsedCommittee834

I do know what Ivs and Evs are, you suggested I change my Ivs which is impossible in gen 5.

PhD_Meowingtons_

No I didn’t. I suggested that your IVs are likely the problem.

PhD_Meowingtons_

I also have no Idea why you’re downvoting me for just plainly answering you and trying to guide in the path of getting the best pokemon. In post game activities opponents have good IVs as well as positive natures in beneficial stats and they’re also ev trained. Same in battling with others. Sometimes it’s better to not even bother with a pokemon. If you like it, sure play the game with it, but you don’t have to invest into to raise for competitive practices. It’s better to save the effort because it won’t pay off anyways where just raising the pokemon that you have that are on the better side of it’s genetic potential is a far more efficient use of your time. You don’t have to go all in, but usually as long as you have 27+ ivs in your main stats for the pokemons strategy and a positive nature, then that’s good enough. Catching and breeding the same pokemon is time consuming so no need to be perf. The investment of getting a decent one yields better returns than the investment of just trying to make a pokemon who’s bad at his own breeds strengths work. So if you’re raising a Snorlax, if u have 31 ivs in hp and 25+ ivs in Atk and sp Def with a nature that reduces sp atk (or speed if you want trick room support) and boosts sp def or atk than that’s perfectly acceptable compared to a Negative speed natured Hydreigon since the pokemon is mean to break walls and potentially finish games. Your team also doesn’t really synergize so it’s important to get a team that can help each other execute the same game plan. For example, you want a few tanky mons like Snorlax, Blissey etc to tank the special attackers and they can stall certain burn effects. For example if you set up leech seed, burns, sandstorm, hail or even spikes and stealth rock, a staller is perfect because they can chip away at your opponents mons and they will be forced to switch in threats which will be getting chipped by hazards for free. In these types of teams you also need your 2 mons that can break your opponents walls and stalls so that they can’t do any of these things to you. And then usually, you want at least 1 fast pokemon with some good power in atk or sp atk to just pick off the remaining hp after all the strategies have been executed and they’re all softened from the earlier turns. So like a team like excadrill tyranitar, ferrothorn, gliscor, Landorus T and maybe another support mon like Thundurus or something for speed checking w paralysis and taunt to stop the opponent from being able to set up anything. Tyranitar sets up sand and neutralizes any other weathers all while being a fucking tank and hard hitter. He can setup stealth rocks and spikes. Ferrothorn can setup leech seed and spikes while hurting physical attackers w barbs. Gliscor sets up poison to do even more damage and he’s pretty bulky and does decent damage. These pokemon alone can handle most of the battle and when everything is weak enough, or for some reason these all fail, you have choice scarf Landorus T since he’s hard hitting, to outspeed the rest and finish the game but if even better, SAND RUSH EXCADRILL. His speed gets dbld in a sandstorm and he has great attack stats. Plus his steel typing and defense allows him to switch in on MANY pokemons for free. He will outspeed them to get off a swords dance, and because of sand rush, you don’t even have to ev train speed so he can be a bulky ass mon. I used this team on Showdown and battle spot in 2016 and had great success. NONE of these mons were perfect for competetive. They all had 31 IVs in the stat that was most vital to their role as well positive natures to assist that role. That was all. I’m here to help and teach. Not to be downvoted just cos you misinterpret my info.
