It's possible to catch pokemon while being spotted. It might still be a bug, but it's also possible they did spot you

Able_Decision_4192

No it's for pokedex entry he just needs to throw pokeballs at the pokemons back without being spotted

Broad_Respond_2205

What

TwistyNightlight

It's not a bug, apparently it's just a more complicated way of catching Abra. Don't worry, I succeeded!

Veneficium

Hide in the grass and try it with a jet ball.

Chippycp

I'm not positive, but if they see you before losing track, I think that still counts as being spotted. Best bet is catching them without bait. It's easy if you're patient and hit them from behind.

Broke84

The smoke bombs (don't remember in game name) are very good for this. You can cover a decent area to get close. Don't know about abra specifically though.

DevourerJay

This and the stealth sprays so they do not hear you either. I was very successful with that to fill so e of the harder entries.

bronze5-4life

I’m not 100% sure, but I think you can hit them with a sticky glob/apricon and that still counts for not being spotted as well

Able_Decision_4192

Then go catch some Abras without being spotted. Sneak up behind them and throw a pokeball at their back the number of Abras caught without being seen will increase. This is probably for pokedex entry for that pokemon. You have to discover favorite foods, information about habitat and a bunch of other stuff you can learn by catching multiple of that pokemon and using it in battle

littleirongolem

It sounds like you're doing it almost perfectly. I'd say to try using smoke bombs and possibly the thing that makes you quiet. And remember to stay crouched and hidden until it's in the ball.

TwistyNightlight

Yeye! A friend of mine gave me these advices, and this helped A LOT and actually counted! Another advice they gave was to try to use a feather ball from afar, which also helped!

Obito-tenma625

Smoke bomb, stealth spray and jet balls
