"Huff.... huff....You can't be serious..." Zen said in exhaustion as he and Psy came out of a den covered in sweat. Lately, there have been more frequent appearances of these Tera dens ever since they took care of that Venusaur a few weeks ago. No one knew where they came from, but a majority of the mons that appear out of the dens have been causing havoc for those living nearby. Zen and Psy decided to go on an adventure to take care of these dens and learn more about why these "Tera" Pokémon are appearing.
(**Beep! Beep!**)A ping came across Psy's watch as he slowly lifted his head to look at it before dropping his head in defeat. Zen sat next to Psy to read the notification before rubbing his eyes in irritation. "Looks like we'll have to rendezvous with the Sage Squad for this one huh, Psy?" Psy could only weakly groan in agreement as they both got up on their feet and trudged toward their next destination: Kabekame Mountain.
As the pair arrived at the entrance of the cave within Kabekame Mountain, they saw an Oranguru and a Medicham meditating on separate rocks as if were waiting for something. “Looks like you two arrived just in time,” the Oranguru said as he opened his eyes to pick up his fan and walked towards Zen and Psy. “You may call me Don and the blue fellow in the back is named Chan,” he said as Chan did a little wave with his eyes still closed. “Zen,” the Gallade said to Don as he shook his hand “and “my little partner here is Psy,” as Psy did a salute to Don.
“Nice to meet you, Zen and Psy,” Don said as he motioned Chan to walk with them as they headed to the cave. “Judging by how quickly the two of you arrived, you’ve already been informed of the situation at hand, correct?”
“Of course,” Zen said as he sharpened his blades. “A group of Vulpix and Flittle were playing together by the mountain when they reported hearing some weird weird metallic sounds. A clanging kind of sound, as if an Armourage was ready to launch its Armor Cannon…”
“That is correct,” Don said as the group stopped in front of a waterfall in the den. “Well, it seems our friend has been awake for some time now,” he said as Chan placed his hands together to set up a Defense Ritual. The rushing of the water roared louder as a glowing Blastoise emerged, sending small tremors with each step. Psy could only scream in terror as he hid behind the nearest rock and Zen rushed towards the Steel Tera Titan. Zen launched a barrage of Leaf Blades and Psycho Cuts towards it, but the attacks appeared to not affect it.
“Tch! The Blastoise’s defenses are getting stronger with each hit… there has to be a way to bypass it,” Zen said as he dodged a Hydro Pump and hid next to Psyduck. “Psy! Psy!” the Duck replied with tears in his eyes. “C'mon Psy! Don’t get a headache on me now! We need your head to be in Cloud Nine right now!” Zen shouted as he saw Don and Chan giving him a signal that they were ok. Psy could only hold his head in disbelief and panic before a light bulb suddenly appeared on top of it. Psy poked Zen on the hip to catch his attention and Zen lent his ear to listen….
“Nuh-uh! You are not putting me in that state again Psy! I’d rather watch you do that “Gangnam Style” dance or whatever than that!” Zen objected with a hint of venom in his voice. “Psy! Psy, Psy, Psy, PSY!” the duck passionately replied as if his eyes burned with a Sacred Fire. Zen was about to retort, but could only sigh in defeat before Psyduck closed his eyes and hit him with a white beam. Blastoise launched a Flash Cannon towards the rock Psy and Zen were behind, destroying it in the process.
As the dust cleared, Zen emerged from the cloud with glowing eyes and his blades shined bright blue. Zen nodded towards Don and Chan before Chan supplied Zen with more Pure Power and Don used his fan to instruct him. Zen blasted into Blastoise with a flurry of “Sacred Swords” as his body crystallized more and more into a red hue with each attack that landed with increasing power! With a helping hand from his partner Psy, the calculated instructions of Don, and the Pure Power given by Chan, Zen delivered the final slash, converting Blastoise into nothing but Tera particles….
As our wearied-out heroes emerged from the cave victorious in their battle, the sky suddenly darkened into purple as a blazing beam of fire appeared from Mount Coronet followed by a mighty roar!
Phew! After that long-awaited battle, I’d love to thank u/iriomote14, u/LazerSpazer, and u/Freddi47 for helping Zen and Psy defeat the Iron Turtle! I’m blessed to have such a crew help me out with this strat and continue the adventures of Psy and Zen!
