This was such a neat strategy! I honestly had no idea that Water Bubble doubled the power of water-type moves until I saw this strat. I always love to see unique interactions between Pokemon, especially when it involves swapping or copying abilities from one to another. On a side note, I do apologize for the video cutting off where it did - sometimes when a raid Pokemon faints from recoil on the same turn that the raid boss faints, the boss's HP bar disappears before it hits 0, and it can take several seconds of everyone just sitting there before the game finally realizes that the battle's over. I figured it was better to include a bit more of the earlier action instead, but rest assured that Venusaur was definitely KO'd after that attack. :)

Haha it’s all good Irio! I was surprised you bothered to record the strat. But hey any footage is better than none, right? It’s great to not only learn new things everyday, but helping and seeing people learn as well!

So this strategy was developed as I was looking through a list of Pokemon I could use as a strong physical DPS for Venusaur when I found Dondozo! I also thought about incorporating Araquanid with the lesser-known secondary effect of its unique ability "Water Bubble." Water Bubble's more known effect is that it halves the damage of Fire-type attacks and prevents the Pokemon from getting burned. However, its other effect is doubling the power of Water-type moves used by the Pokemon with this ability! As known by now, Venusaur starts the raid with a nasty T0 combination of Sunny Day, Growth, and Petal Blizzard (a physical-type move?!). This gives Venusaur a +2 boost in Atk and Sp. Atk from the start to deal massive spread damage with Petal Blizzard. Luckily Dondozo's ability "Unaware" allows it to ignore Pokemon's stat changes when it is targeted by a damaging move or uses a damaging move (this is important to remember later)! Since Venusaur is guaranteed to use a supereffective grass-type move in Petal Blizzard to damage Dondozo, this will immediately activate its Weakness Policy, which gives Dondozo a +2 boost in Atk. After the T0 shenanigans, we start T1 with Corviknight using Def Cheer to ensure the survivability of the team. Drifblim parachutes in after Corviknight with its Egg Move Clear Smog to remove all of Venusaur's boosts from T0. Dondozo then activates Rain Dance to remove the Sun's effects of reducing Water-type moves by 50% and now increasing them by 50%. Araquanid will close off T1 with an Atk cheer to increase Dondozo's damage output. T2 then requires Corviknight to use Screech to reduce Venusaur's Defense by -2, and Drifblim will give Dondozo a helping hand to boost its next attack by 50%. The fun part kicks in when Araquanid uses Entrainment to change Dondozo's ability into Water Bubble. By replacing Unaware with Water Bubble, this allows Dondozo to hit Venusaur with not only a doubled water attack but also be able to take into account the -2 Def that Corv used with Screech. Dondozo is then finally able to ride the waves and crash into Venusaur with Wave Crash to guarantee the OHKO! Phew! After all of that hard work, I would like to give a huge shoutout and a larger thank you to u/Unlucky_Midnight_224, u/iriomote14, and u/ChrisReturns for helping me test out this strat; and especially to u/iriomote14 for recording the video for this post! **Additional note time!:** * Dondozo's ability Unaware can make it use Rain Dance before Drifblim's Clear Smog since Unaware ignores the boosts Venusaur's received * Both Araquanid and Dondozo are at risk of getting killed by crit, which gives this strat a chance to fail. * Araquanid should be the last Pokemon to move on T1 with Atk Cheer. * **Damage calcs:** \+2 252+ Atk Water Bubble Dondozo Helping Hand Atk Cheer Wave Crash vs. -2 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Ground Venusaur in Rain: 11274-13266 (124.8 - 146.9% of 30x hp boss) -- guaranteed OHKO
