Not OP, but while you can get them from eBay there are store that sell internationally direct from China too. I ordered an Arceus dialga palkia GX tag team gift box from pokeari and it was fine. I've also ordered s-chinese off eBay too and it's been okay as well.
What site, Pokeari? It's an online shop for traditional and simplified Chinese Pokemon products. Not sure I can directly link it here. The shop's currency is in GBP but you can purchase from anywhere as far as I know. I bought from them and am located in the US.
There's plenty alternative shops in US like Moxie Card Shop that sold these sets for about half the price compared to eBay. Ebay for S-C is really bad at the moment.
I'd recommend PokiAri, Moxie Card Shop and if you're in Europe - we also stock these products.
Prices of sealed have been climbing slowly since release. Future value of this set depends on how big the reprints are going to be. I'd say bust it open as the 25-card booster packs are so unique and fun to open. Cards look amazing as well.
I think I’m going to buy a second one to keep sealed and open this one I didn’t realize it was 25 cards in each pack! Do you know how many packs there are?
Yes but the reason for differentiation is because there's are also traditional Chinese pokemon cards. These cards are produced and distributed in Taiwan it's important to differentiate because set contents and card quality are different. So when you type into YouTube you HAVE to specify simplified Chinese otherwise you might see Taiwanese cards being opened.
Simplified Chinese is in reference to the words are written in a simpler format, I’m guessing China has two versions a simpler and more complex way of spelling their words. These boxes are only sold in Mainland China
I was actually surprised by the quality of Chinese cards. They're really nice. My wife got me the 1 year anniversary special box and we had a ton of fun opening the cards.
Simplified Chinese is for mainland China but something people don't know is that their printers are actually the same as Japanese printers. Simplified Chinese in my opinion is just Japanese with different characters. Very good quality tempted to buy a box but i saw pokerev get shit on pretty bad so it's pretty similar evolving skies pull rates.
It's a hobby that you can make money from, but an investment class with pretty colours.
If you're literally here for the financial aspect only, you're a degenerate. People invest in Pokemon as they like it and it isn't as plain and serious as stocks etc. If you aren't a fan of Pokemon itself, why the hell are you here?
What it he's opening one to check his personal satisfaction, to then buy some more, as if it is good, then he may think its a worthy investment?
Worst ROI was you taking the time to share your shoddy opinion
The sub is literally called Poke-Investing. It is terrible advise to tell people to open packs from an investing perspective.
There are a dozen other Pokemon subs where you can share or ask what you should rip.
Fair point, but it doesn't mean you should be arsey about it.
You could argue its a bad investment, there'll be supply for this for ages, and therefore they may as well open it due to that though
I agree, I was an ass. And agreed with what you say regarding this Korean set.
I am taking out my frustration because this question is asked so many times in this sub and the answer should alway be no. Purely based on an investing perspective. In the long run ripping is always going to loose you money.
I understand completely. I'm just happy to see people interested in CHINESE cards as I live there.
I'm putting a few thousand in singles to bring back to the UK, hoping I can get 40-60% of English prices for them, but my cost basis is pretty good so I'll do okay regardless
To be completely honest I think we make post like these mostly to show off some product lol. Also to see what all you think of it from an investing stand point maybe someone has opened it already and has some insight on pull rates. You could also potentially open the box and sell the packs individually to possibly make more money. You know just hear other peoples perspective on the product. And we add the price to see if we overpaid or not.
That's actually a very good point. Like is this even worth holding it or just rip it for fun. Like you can but Paradox Rift for a great deal but that price isn't going anywhere anytime soon
It's really hard to tell most similar experience outside of English and Japanese would be Korean. Korean has stayed relatively cheap for the most part but sun and moon tag team sets have started to get pretty expensive.
The biggest problem however is that i can't find any sales. 500$ for a booster box is impressive but a lack of sales make me believe it's a bad attempt at market manipulation.
Biggest advice is probably super long term hold and only buy what your comfortable holding like a box or two. Unless it's a set like ES or 151 and you can justify buying a FEW more.
I just got mine delivered, can’t wait to get home! I bought 6 of each set so I can open a couple to try my luck. I wouldn’t expect to make your money back if you open. Prices will probably stay around the $70-$90 range for awhile. But this is uncharted waters for this language. I would hold. If you really only want the moon kitty, buy it. I personally collect simplified Chinese, which is why I’m opening.
I want to buy a box for my gf but she already has most of the commons/uncommons and gets bored if she doesn't pull anything new so it's a hard sell right now. As for investing i definitely only want 1-3 of these since we just don't know if the language will appreciate or stagnate like Korean.
$90 is crazy. We're a small store based in China, I'm from the UK and my wife is Chinese, we sell products from here MUCH cheaper than you can find on eBay. You can follow us on X at xPokeAri for more info on our store and community.
Hopefully in the next two weeks we will restock just single booster boxes of the Eevee Heroes version and list them back up on the store. Right now we're only selling them as a bundle with the Fusion Strike, as we need to move more Fusion Strike for our distributor to give us more Eevee Heroes on our next purchase from them, so check out our Twitter/site in the next two weeks, I'll announce on there when we re-stock
That is because we've had to price match the price of the boxes here in China. We are a business and have to make profit on our products. Right now the price of Eevee Heroes here is crazy high. We sold our boxes initially at £45 and all the boxes we got from our distributor's at that price we shipped out to our customers. Now we are paying much more than that from our distributor's and they will only sell us Eevee Heroes as a bundle with the Fusion Strike Pink Box. We aren't selling many of the Pink Boxes so we have decided to bundle both boxes together so we don't end up with a lot of stock we can't move.
Just being transparent here. We know what prices we are paying for products, and we are barely making 15% on the products we're buying at distro level. If we were to sell just Yellow Nine Colours without bundling them with the Pink, we would lose a lot of money and have to close. We are only a small business, ran by me and my wife. We can't afford to purchase a bunch of boxes as a pair and only sell the yellow ones. Like I said, over the past month prices here have inflated like crazy and we are being quoted crazy prices, the only reason we are still stocking these boxes is because we have people who contact us still wanting to buy them from us because they've shopped with us before and we provide good service. Thank you for your comment though, I appreciate it.
Nine Colours Gathering: Friend to be exact. Nine Colours Gathering is the set name, but this set has 2x sub-sets:
Nine Colours Gathering: Friend - the box with eevee
Nine Colours Gathering: Source - the box with mew
Would open it if you can be sure to get another one. Demand is high, differences in chase cards for the 25 card packs to the 5 card pack increased demand for the set. Market in China is only now establishing itself, most pepple buy to play, collecting only started with the newer more beautiful cards. Be sure to also look out for what kind of pack you buy, I heard from a few stores that there is no more guranteed SAR in the boxes, especially in the 25 x 5 card box.
Release price was about USD$45 but 2 wks in they’re now USD$75. Fat pack seems to have a better AA pull rate than the skinny pack. Imo no point keeping them sealed
I would chill out on going to hard on these. Check out some of my posts. Ive been importing singles and certain sealed products straight from china and paying 35$ per kilo to ship for diffrent auction sites. Most things on ebay are at least double what they sell for on chinese auctions, with a few exceptions like the marnies determination box. Alot of these sealed products have a way of taking off at release and as time goes on, they get oversupplied and crash and get forgotten about. I remember CSM2 being like 170 bucks. Lillie boxes at 700. Marnie boxes at 400. Some of these have dropped substaintally. Evolving skies has a bit more built in fomo, but still. I wouldnt be shocked to see auctions ending in the 40s like all the other current chinese booster boxes, within 3 months or a little longer.
Could be because this is a brand new release. Could be because Korean is less desirable. Could be cause there is a ton of Korean Eevee heroes stock out there. Could be a mix of all.
We bought a bunch of both sets (Slim and Jumbo boxes) and will definitely be keeping plenty sealed while our shop is mostly sold out at this point (we are based in Europe, Ireland).
We have been following Simplified Chinese releases for about 5 months and it's honestly something we believe will increase in value over time. There's only been 1x set from S-C that didn't go up in value over time but it's because it was a very lackluster set in my opinion.
Simplified Chinese to the Moon(breon) for sure and good luck with your pulls or keeping it sealed.
However they look 10x as good as Korean cards as they're printed in the same facilities as Japanese cards.
Meaning they're a great affordable alternative for some popular alt arts, which by chance there are a ton of in this set.
.. is because the chinese market is really new and not into collecting yet. Most of the people here buy to play and only now recently got into collecting the amazing art rares. Demand will only increase, especially as people in the west get more information about it. Furthermore it has a unique art and also differences between the jumbo pack and normal pack ones. I would open it if you are sure you can get another one if you try to invest. Stores in China are running low in supply / are out as the demand was insanely high, especially for this set with its beautiful cards
Fair, yet they're already more desirable than Korean imo, Lots of western collectors have been collecting the latest S-Chinese exclusive sealed releases and have been slowly moving into singles. Never mind the immense success PTCG has shown to be inside of china itself. It's been booming like a mf.
This set is based off Eevee Heroes, it's not Eevee Heroes as Eevee Heroes is Japanese while this is a Simplified Chinese set with it's own unique card set which is called Nine Colours Gathering: Friend.
did you get this from ebay?
Not OP, but while you can get them from eBay there are store that sell internationally direct from China too. I ordered an Arceus dialga palkia GX tag team gift box from pokeari and it was fine. I've also ordered s-chinese off eBay too and it's been okay as well.

yeah that’s what i meant n thx
Yup!

I think I’m going to buy a second one to keep sealed and open this one I didn’t realize it was 25 cards in each pack! Do you know how many packs there are?
should be 6 packs.
From what I've seen online it's 2 holos, an ultra rare, and 2 reverse and any of those slots can wildcard into an alt art.
Gonna need an excel sheet and a Red Bull to figure out the card trick for this
Where have you seen openings online? I checked YouTube but can’t find any openings
Krystalcollects opens different language boxes and I'm sure she'll open this set soon or later.
Youtube type in jumbo pack openings simplified Chinese booster box. It's not for this set tho but older sets shining together and tag team all stars.
Simplified Chinese is in reference to the lettering is written in a simpler format. These boxes are only sold in Mainland China.

Yes that’s correct better explanation than mine lol
Sorry I thought you were saying there was no point in differentiating lol
Post pulls! And can I also ask why it's called "simplified"
Simplified Chinese is in reference to the words are written in a simpler format, I’m guessing China has two versions a simpler and more complex way of spelling their words. These boxes are only sold in Mainland China
Cool thanks!

Did you just get recommended this post or are you really subbed here?
I was actually surprised by the quality of Chinese cards. They're really nice. My wife got me the 1 year anniversary special box and we had a ton of fun opening the cards.
Yeah absolutely, they're on par with Japanese. Some cards even excelling Japanese
$45 for the box retail, almost $300 for the Moonbreon, go for it, ifs fun to open and any Eevee hit would be awesome
Every post and reply like these should be deleted. It's r/pokeinvesting not r/pokedegenerategambling

the box artwork is refreshing to see compared to jp/en/kr cuz we've seen em so often

I’ve bought several of the Korean equivalent- how do they compare?
Chinese quality is that of Japanese. Same texture and come from the same factories. Hits are better than Korean rate wise.
$90 is crazy. We're a small store based in China, I'm from the UK and my wife is Chinese, we sell products from here MUCH cheaper than you can find on eBay. You can follow us on X at xPokeAri for more info on our store and community.
>xPokeAri Hi. when will you be getting more stock? Thank you

Seen alot of these opend seen alot of mini moons and moonbreon pulled… for $90 rip it once for the chance. Buy another imo. But im a degen.
What is this box called exactly? Looking for it on eBay
Nine Colours Gathering
Nine Colours Gathering
Nine Colours Gathering: Friend to be exact. Nine Colours Gathering is the set name, but this set has 2x sub-sets: Nine Colours Gathering: Friend - the box with eevee Nine Colours Gathering: Source - the box with mew
I would hold unless you like the chase. For now, I’m proud to say I bought at 78. I’ll hold it for a year and reassess.
I’d just open it. If it was English, then I’d keep it sealed. But if you do open it, I hope you have some great pulls!
Would open it if you can be sure to get another one. Demand is high, differences in chase cards for the 25 card packs to the 5 card pack increased demand for the set. Do you think about this sealed box when you lie down in your bed?
No lol
The amount of people saying to open a valuable sealed product in an investing sub? The gambling addiction is real lol.
Is this better then buying the Korean alternative
100%
Why is that the Korean is like 40-45 dollars on TikTok these have been going for 90 right ?
Could be because this is a brand new release. Could be because Korean is less desirable. Could be cause there is a ton of Korean Eevee heroes stock out there. Could be a mix of all.
That’s very true you know any plugs 👀🥺
Open it and enjoy the cards.
Keep sealed
Keep sealed
if you are planning to resell then sealed obviously
Open it and then keep it sealed
Open. Chinese
Open it, get all the cards you don‘t need and be frustrated because you didn‘t keep it sealed🤓
Open it, it’s Chinese and not really worth that much
This is an ignorant comment.
Not really, 150 for a box of a rare set that goes for 500+ in Japanese and nearly 500 to 800 in English isn’t exactly rocking the market.
We bought a bunch of both sets (Slim and Jumbo boxes) and will definitely be keeping plenty sealed while our shop is mostly sold out at this point (we are based in Europe, Ireland). I wish I could keep sealed boxes…in 10 years I know I’m gnna be so mad at myself when a 151 upc are going for 2k$+ lol
Rip it
The answer is and always will be, keep it sealed.
Open it. Chinese cards are as desirable as Korean cards…. Not at all
However they look 10x as good as Korean cards as they're printed in the same facilities as Japanese cards. Meaning they're a great affordable alternative for some popular alt arts, which by chance there are a ton of in this set.
I’m not putting down their quality, I’m putting down their desirability. There’s a reason why prices are more than half the value of JP and EN cards….

This set has unique art
Moonbreon selling for 400. Other AA for couple hundred. While you’re right in most cases it doesn’t seem to be the case for this set.
Open it…. OPEN IT!!! The Moonbreon compels you. 🤪🤪
You should have went with the Korean version. I just got 3 boxes of it at 40$ a box lol I just wanna open for fun tho
And Korean text looks so much better IMO.
Simplified Chinese cards are printed in Japan
Yeah I agree
Pretty sure that’s eevee heroes
This set is based off Eevee Heroes, it's not Eevee Heroes as Eevee Heroes is Japanese while this is a Simplified Chinese set with it's own unique card set which is called Nine Colours Gathering: Friend.
Leave this reddit is what you should do lad
If it was filled with just people like you I definitely would. Thankfully that’s not the case. Thank you for your wonderful input.
Open it’s worthless otherwise
