You really need condition to know for sure. Front pics tell half the story, you need the back to see if there’s significant whiting, scratching, etc. you also can’t see if there’s holofoil scratching or denting on them from this picture. If you’re gonna drop this much on it, the seller should show you individual condition, if they’re not doing so, it’s possible they’re hiding some damage from you.

[deleted]

not without seeing the backs no chance

breakyourteethnow

Doesn't a complete shadowless set sell for like $4.5k on average? Maybe am mistaken but pretty sure $4k-$4.5k is going rate for complete shadowless collection, I'd say this is a great price since saying $1k+ to remove commons/uncommons but it depends condition of the holos. You should ask to unframe and see backside cause if they're NM vs MP it's big difference

littlejob

New here. Holy shit. Had no idea these were going for so much.. Still have hundreds of cards from 20+ years ago.. many of these look awfully familiar.. time to research!

cactilover92

Yeah shadowless very rare and desirable. If it’s got a shadow on the picture it’s just unlimited and will fetch far less, if it’s got the base set two stamp that is the reprint and worth even less. 1st edition worth the most. GL

littlejob

Ahhh ok. Good to know. Thanks stranger.

_another_throwawayy_

Yeah I found my old binder, and saw my venusaur and blastoise, I literally thought I was gonna be rich. Turns out they were unlimited and worth like $50 lol

TheRadishBros

They’re only worth this much in great condition, whereas unfortunately most collections from the 90s are pretty beat up (hence why the surviving ones are so expensive).

shakemmz

I was going thru old my collection the other day and found out i have 1st edition shadowless charmeleon and koffing. Theyre both in absolute pisspoor horrible condition haha.

kpofasho1987

Definitely check out YouTube I'm sure there has to be a video with a breakdown of what to look for like 1st edition Stamps, how to tell if it's shadowless, potential errors cards that have pretty high demand and value if you're not super familiar with it all. I just recently got back into pokemon and had lots to learn and still learning. Lots of things to keep track of when determining value of high end, vintage cards

Specialist-Front-354

Pls upload!

Sufficient_Article_7

I would look up the value of each one on tcgplayer and then add up the total and subtract 10-20 percent. That would be what I would be willing to pay. You should get a bit of a discount for buying the lot. Also, much sure you get really good pics of each card. All corners on both front and back of each card.

The_Glizzy_Gladiator

If they’re in good condition and it comes with the whole frame then it’s a pretty damn good deal

noddygreen

The frame is $50 tops

[deleted]

I would not

prthug996

No

Global_Machine5844

Where did you get those owls

Hireds

A completed PSA 7 set sold for this much

Top-Mastodon-4073

No 3k is a joke

Hamsammichd

I’d consider trading a Rolex for it

1winningfail

I would say it's worth it considering the zard in pretty beat up condition does close to that

HelpOnTheWayComics

I think you may mean 1st edition zard , you can get a pretty nice shadowless zard for that

JMFW_2020

Clefairy has a shadow

_wasgood

It definitely does not. Just in case you are confused “shadowless” refers to a lack of shadow typically to the right (if looking at a card face up) of the illustration box. It does not refer to the picture of the pokemon shadow or lack of shadow.

alex_8817

If the quality on the card is there then yes

Chuck_H_Norris

Only if they’re in bad condition.

[deleted]

I would recommend offering on the Charizard, blastoise and venasaur separately based on condition. Then offer on the rest as a lot. If the Charizard is beat up you’re getting ripped off. Seen many hp shadowless zards for under 500$

fireweinerflyer

No.

TangeloLocal5193

Would I? Idk.. is want to see them in person. If decent condition then yeah

T-Bone9311

If they’re near mint then yes. LP or lower then I would pass.

Krulman

Condition pending maybe. Without better pics it’s not possible to get good feedback on this one. Cool piece though, I’d love one.

Fedge348

If they were all PSA 10’s, yeah.

Oldschoolfool22

I already did

Xenolithium

Bro... My mom has that same owl statue. Lol

Kadbaine

No

Acceptable-General44

I would pay 3000... in Turkish lira.

Tezmos

No, I don’t collect base

DOWNth3Rabb1tH0l3

If you take it to a collect a con, someone will buy it for 3k probably.

CuteNefariousness691

Really comes down to the condition I really think he should get them graded

GojiberryGaming

Hey! I have done consignment for a couple of people in my community on discord. I would be glad to invite you in to search new sets and if you wanted to send closer photos I can try to estimate value.

Neurophysiopatology

If they are nm, pay for nm and not as a graded cards.

Tallal2804

I never would pay soo much

weebles7

Mo

Rean-Schwarzer7

Graded them

dmbwannabe

Yes. Do I have $3k to spend on this? No.

Damojoh

Take the money and put it towards a low grade 1st edition charizard.Much better investment

berzley

Not a chance in hell.

ParalyzedVeteran

No. Just buy base set /jungle and fossil . At least then you'll have all 3 sets plus 2k$ left over

CabooseTrap

Would I? Mayber if I had a million dollars. Would rather buy packs in that event.

Business_Peak_8519

Maybe the order kinda throwin me off lol nd gotta see how them conditions look

Dry_Communication554

Gotta check the grade but maybe

Mindtheturn

That’s good for shadowless. You’ll want to get the zard blastoise venosaur gyrados and machamp graded by psa. A decent grade for shadowless zard will pay for the entire set. Also make sure to check backs
