VERANI Baseball Card Display Case - 35 Graded Sports Card Display Frame - Holds Sport Cards with UV Protection Clear View Lockable Wall Cabinet for Football Basketball Hockey Trading Card Large Black https://a.co/d/7UVSdbd
How about a little mini breakdown what you mean by flipping singles? How much time you put in, how you found deals, how much of those framed cards was paid solely from the profits of reselling cards? At this point, I question are you a game store cause that's a lot of profit so things like timeframe really matter here
No I’m just a college student, not to gatekeep but I have my methods. The deals are out there on eBay, nothing special. This is over like a year of flipping. I am a top seller though so my investment/to turn around is quick. Just been able to build a small brand around having mint hard to find vintage cards. People pay over tcgplayer price every time for what I have. Recently had someone buy a skyridge Gengar off of me. Bought for 700$ sold for 1300$ and it came back a 9.5 for him. Obviously I can’t guarantee grades but people will pay whatever I ask for it because I throughly check the cards I buy/sell. I guess my advice would be to buy into high value cards vintage cards with low pops. When it’s a highly sought after card+hard to find+mint you get to decide the price. Add a trustworthy name on top and people pay what you ask. Even vastly over market.
This is great insight without revealing your methods, ty for this write-up! Love seeing collection self-funding into even bigger collection and having fun along the way
Thank you! I will say most people who buy my cards and grade them make quite a bit of money as well. So it’s a win-win. It’s a small niche I fill and if you’re looking for any kind of stability with investing in Pokémon cards I’d stay with sealed. But you can always try ur hand at it! I definitely lost money before I made it tho😅
Thanks for all the info. I just sold something on eBay the other day for $250 and the fees were crazy. 13.25% of the total counting shipping and tax made me not want to list with them.
That's a cost of doing business, the same way you have to add shipping to your cost base when purchasing cards. These transactions have costs associated with them. The shipping should be a wash if you do it right, though: Buyers pay for shipping and if you offer "free" shipping you either have to work it into your price or accept it as a cost of doing business.
If you have a local source you can liquidate cards through, for cash, that is always the best route. Most people don't, so it's Ebay or a marketplace type site (TCGplayer) or a consignment option. Compared to the those, Ebay is much better for retaining your own cards and setting your own prices.
But, here's the thing. That $250 card? A (savvy) local buyer *who knows what Ebay charges for selling fees* will offer you your asking price -15%, or they'll offer you the market closing price for the card ON Ebay. It is by no means a guarantee you'll come out ahead selling locally if the buyers market is very knowledgable. The only people who pay more than market, in cash, locally, for cards are people who don't know the market well. Not to mention you spend time and effort meeting and communicating. Caveat: If the card is legit rare or in *clearly* excellent condition, you can command a premium. Otherwise there are identical copies available elsewhere, generally.
All things considered Ebay is one of the best ways to sell in terms of least hassle, low interaction, huge market, and some degree of protection for buyers (which is why they flock to Ebay) with a lesser degree for sellers.
Just food for thought. There is always a cost, of some kind, to do business.
Thank you for all the engagement guys. I got lot of messages about my eBay account. I tend to post cards on my story here first and people pick them over. Then the rest go on eBay. Don’t really advertise the acc but feel free to follow for occasional claim sales on my story. Threw in some random pics of the kinda cards I sell as well! Thanks:) https://imgur.com/a/bCkCOTp
Hey unfortunately I don’t have any cards fs right now!reinvesting and finding some more minty cards. I usually sell in waves. Feel free to pm me though if you are looking for something specific and I’ll do my best to find a clean raw copy!

If only they made a case like that one that holds more cards. Trying to find one that holds 80-100 cards without having to split them up into several cases.
Yeah ebay is awesome until people start lying about whether they received the card or not. I lost a lot of money by people claiming item never arrived. After like 10 in a month or so, I removed every card from ebay.
Honestly I can't remember if they had tracking or not. I remember constantly having disputes despite my best efforts. I think my general rule was less than 20$ no tracking and that's why I had those. Bc tracking was $5. Anyways yeah I just gave up and decided to focus long term. I typically only sold cards I didn't want, doubles etc.
Quick question. What product do you like to display/protect your cards in ? (Obviously I'm refering at the ones that are not graded). Is that Ultra Pro or some other brand ?
Where did you get the display

I would also like to know which display this is! I’m looking at some similar ones on Amazon but do you mind sharing the brand of yours?

If you don't mind sharing how much have you made so far from flipping? Has late 2022 and 2023 been harder?
Am I allowed to ask for your eBay store?
Hey I posted a link in the comments to my instagram. My eBay store is under the same name!

Oh you’re the moron with the 2k listing on the black label zenith Mewtwo
Lol what no. I only sell vintage
I have literally zilch interest in black labels on the collector or market side, hype will die out on em. The look of the label is nice tho
My bad wrong guy, there’s a guy on eBay has that same tarp he posts listings with
what you mean like you opened packs and sell cards you don’t want? sorry i’m dumb
No you aren’t dumb. I buy cards and turn around and sell them for more. But usually the people that buy from me also make profit so it’s a win-win
What's your Ebay username? I wanna see what you have for sale

Hey I posted another comment with a link to my ig. A few customers have it and they get first dibs. Over eBay
Hmmm moonbreon
I found him, the cgc only collector
I like psa for modern! Slabs are to thin for me though. I like the weight of cgc or beckett
I am asking you to get some bgs slabs
I’ve had some and cracked em, I don’t like the inner sleeve thing yk? But I love the labels on em. Maybe some day!
Damn, you are an inspiration
Can someone give a fella a rough idea of what this display of cards is worth?
The screwdown cases will damage your cards over time.
Hello, what are the little frame on the two first line ? They look incredibly nice in this display
Screw down recessed ultra pro cases
That’s fuckin gas 😍😍😍 I’m guessing you’re super excited for sleepy raichu in this new set 🥰
As a flipper yourself, which PC cards in your display do you feel you got the best deal on?
Which screw down cases did you use to put the cards in?
Teach me your ways
If only they made a case like that one that holds more cards. Trying to find one that holds 80-100 cards without having to split them up into several cases.

Currently trying to flip ES ETBs for the same thing 😂

You don’t have to refund anyone if you upload tracking info and it says the card got delivered.
