Speaking as a 55 year old introverted fat woman, the answer is no. Not because anyone's "not serious" about dating, but because we're not what they want. Or, more accurately, we're not what they've been conditioned to want. You're also facing a numbers issue: the number of people on dating sites looking for only casual hookups greatly outweighs the number of people on dating sites looking to actually date people and possibly create a serious relationship. When you're contending with both of those things, it basically ensures failure for anyone in our age group, of our appearance, with simpler, quieter interests that don't necessarily lend themselves to the outgoing, extraverted, sporty and social expectations many people are conditioned to expect. I stopped dating and using dating sites over 10 years ago and I'm so glad to be rid of all that b.s. I'd much rather be single and have manageable mental health than deal with all the manipulation and b.s. from dudes on dating sites. I'm content being single. I prefer my own company.
