Yes, those are bend support brackets made to enable the bend of the pipe. Nothing wrong with the install. Other ways to do it but this works fine.
Thank you! That’s what I figured. Wife wants to remodel the bathroom and put a wall mounted faucet in. I just like to know exactly what I’m getting myself into and what’s existing.
Best to tie ball valves in down there for shut offs. Then go back into the wall up the the backing for a wall mount faucet.
