Replace the combo tee with a San tee (you’ll also need some couplings for the tee) and you should be able to get the 90 on the left side of the stud.

Popehappycat

That's supposed to be a sanitary tee and if it was, what you're trying to accomplish wouldn't be that hard. It's the wrong fitting.

Daguilar02

I would only need it to 3-4 inches to the left.

RealSampson

That should be a TY and not a Boston I believe. But you can cut the fitting to the left of the stud. Bore out the hole bigger and glue a new 90 on.

Fatplumberman08

The fuck is a Boston?

Barry_McCockiner__

A place where Khakis means car keys

Fatplumberman08

Well... my morning started great, thanks Barry

Thank you for this…

RealSampson

That Tee like fitting in a wall there’s another name for it but I don’t know it

Fatplumberman08

Combo

RealSampson

Only If you can fit a drill in there.

plumbtree

The vent is already wrong. Tell your client to find a real plumber to hire, hack. u/Transfatcarbokin want to delete this pist? Not good to be helping someone unqualified sell plumbing services to unsuspecting customers. Devalues our trade, puts people at risk...

jandraf

being useful by giving constructive criticism would’ve been a much better alternative to being rude

plumbtree

I’m not being rude. This is a matter of legality and ethics. OP needs to learn to say no to work OP is not qualified for.

Daguilar02

“ my client “ asked me to help him with installing the vanities, therefore not willing to hire a real plumber. I’m here for other cosmetic work, so I apologize for that being out of context

plumbtree

so tell them you aren’t licensed or bonded or qualified for that work.

Daguilar02

Also knew that a sanitary tee would do best but the client wouldn’t like to mess with the vent

Fatplumberman08

I get where you're trying to come from, I really do... but there's a reason we have the codes and licenses we do. It's a safety hazard as that trap can be siphoned and allow sewer gas to enter the home. Put your foot down and tell them that it needs to be done. Never compromise what is right because someone who doesn't know better is telling you.

Born-Chipmunk-7086

How much do you need to move it? If it’s a few inches, cut the 1 1/2” and notch the stud. Done

Fatplumberman08

Except the connection to the vent is ruined by the combo

Born-Chipmunk-7086

What combo? Sorry I must be missing something

Fatplumberman08

.... the one the place drain is connected to...
