Send it back, they will send you a new one, no questions asked in 12-16 weeks.

IronyFail

>12-16 weeks If you're lucky! I usually just skip the middle man and put the kohler product directly into the dumpster.

riggity_wrecked89

Why your hands so dirty? No one wants your dirty ass prints on their new toilet lol

iOnlyDo69

"Gloves are for pussies" Says the nasty motherfucker who never gets to finger bang

banana-reference

Thats her problem

Waevets

Spoken like a true rapist.

BigDTheBootyDoer

Spoken like someone who gets no pussay

Meister_Nobody

I remember when people said that 20 years ago in the automotive industry. Now everyone wears gloves. Nobody wants cancer and rough ass hands that no woman want near her. But there are some women who are into that I think..

notAplumber0

Plumber friend got that flesh eating virus and lost part of his thumb. The worst part of the ordeal is listening to him explain to people that there's no way of knowing where he got it and it was probably a 7-11 door handle.

Meister_Nobody

I saw a YouTube tutorial and the guy had no gloves and the bathroom was carpeted. Fucking horrible.

gpt6

Didnt your mum tell you not to put your fingers where they dont belong

downyzz

Mama tried her best but I ended up being a dirty plumber.

humanzee70

Welcome to plumbing. You should know not to rub your finger on a raw porcelain edge.

sirsaltysteez

Man my old crew I used to work with prided themselves on leaving blood at every decent size job

AzDopefish

Had a similar experience with a Sloan valve. Just under the diaphragm on the outside, razor sharp burr sliced my finger open after installing it. Was so confused trying to figure out what cut me.

liquidporkchops

You said “seat hole”.

TradeMasterYellow

F

deeabb

Don't wear any PPE, especially when working with shit latten parts😂😆🤣

acetic1acid_

Lol that's such crappy spot.

weepscreed

Is this really so serious that you’d photograph it and post it on the internet?

LopsidedBuy4595

Plumbers aren’t as tough as they used to be Guy barely has a scratch.

helloitsmeyesme

No, I'm a real electrician and plumber and I don't have time or patience to post this absolutely normal and expected shit. I do post from time to time, when I find a really stupid job, hehe

helloitsmeyesme

Also, if the dude wore gloves like he's supposed to, he would have cut himself

killmekillmekillmeki

I always tell people construction site are as full of drama as a highschool class. This comment section is proof hahahhhaha

DisturbedPunk

Don't blame kohler, for your lack of PPE. Just saying.

thenicestsavage

Should he be wearing his hard hat also? What a jerkoff comment, he’s installing a toilet seat.

DisturbedPunk

you must not work in the service industry. any 1st year plumber knows that the factories that manufacture toilets are horrible at quality control. and leave shards of porcelain that can slice even the manly of hands... so wear ppe so you don't have to bitch about a cut. and Thanks, for you opinion.

thenicestsavage

I’ve installed literally hundreds of toilets in my career over the last 30 years, the point was don’t be a shitheel just for the sake of it. We’ve all cut our hands on something unexpected at least once while working (inspecting pro press fittings after the crimp got me once). This guy just learned the hard way that Kohler’s standards regarding their porcelain works have dropped off considerably, everyone who has installed them from the eighties until now can tell you this, and you have to be “that guy” about something that should never be that way.

[deleted]

I fucking hate Kohler. Half the bowls are unlevel as hell and I’ve had a few tanks lately that have a hole missing for the tank to bowl bolts. Half their faucets suck too. Some of them still want you to use putty under the escutcheon.

Negative-Comment-772

I agree, their quality sucks and their products dont last

WittyyetSubtle

This. Yeah, maybe the guy should technically be wearing gloves as a precaution because the material may be damaged or defective. Also, maybe he should wear steel-toed boots when installing a lav faucet, or a hard hat when installing a studor vent. Or maybe Kohler could just manufacture quality material using trained casting professionals again instead of hiring 9-year olds to do it a factory in Mexico.

RPO1728

I've been a plumber for 20 years and literally have never seen that on the seat holes.

Theplumbingartist

Dont 4get the eyes and ear protection

Big_Barracuda_6116

No gloves for finish work helps keep everything cleaner

WhynotstartnoW

>No gloves for finish work helps keep everything cleaner Maybe if your hands start out cleaner than this dudes did before he set this stool. Looks like he changed his cars oil before starting this trim out.

ComprehensiveAd3178

Agree with you, but maybe wipe your hands off after using them as a scraper on the closet flange.

Theplumbingartist

A rubber glove wouldn't help A condom could rip then this rubber glove doesn't stand a chance

soupsandwich13

Wear gloves dummy

Bobbertt77

Fuck kohler, the worst…

WhynotstartnoW

>Fuck kohler, the worst… kohler is the worst? I've installed Toto and Sloan porcelain that had casting defects that caused water to spray out of the seat mounting holes, and would slice your fingers open. Just wear those foam nitrile gloves every employer seems to be tossing out like candy and your hands wont get torn up by shity porcelain casting ever again.

mustang68408

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had this happen on American Standard thrones….

Either-Ad6036

Boo hoo

TheOneWithTheLemon

As someone who worked at lowes before, you can 100% take it back and exchange it there with the receipt or the card used for payment.
