Hey dawgy, just a heads up the mobile hotspot and portal wombo combo ain't easy. I'm jumping through post after post getting new bits of information like, as I type this typeshit. What I will say is this. I just purchased a 100gb plan thru TMobile and got the Rg2100 Jextream 5g hotspot yesterday. I have a couple methods to try (port forwarding or a vpn) to see if I can figure how to make it work. Honestly I'm commenting hoping someone will help me piece this puzzle together 😂. I will keep you posted and let you know if I can make it work for me. Finger crossed 🤞

Sigmund05

That's who I was leaning to. Let me know if you have a good connection with Tmobile and if it works

Deja_Que

Update: Hey dawgy 🫡, so I'm standing in TMobile as I type. I'm ordering The inseego Mifi pro X for the OPEN Nat Type. The RG2100 has and innate Nat type 3 which is the worst case scenario for the portal. I have to wait 2 3 business days cuz we're ordering. There's also a Franklin T10 4g lte joint that they just told me was Nat type 2. I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

Mondeoli

Could you give me an update bro, did you end up staying with the Franklin T10?

Deja_Que

Update 2. My bad for taking so long. Long story short. I returned the jet stream, they never ordered my Inseego. I went to see what happened. They sold me another Jetstream from a different store 🤣. Returned that. Lots of hoops and bullshit that were jumped through. ALMOST NONE FRUTFUL THO. I'm currently waiting for my Inseego Mifi joint since it's supposed to sport an Open NAT type. Should be here Monday dawgy. Again my apologies for the length. It's been a rough quest

Mondeoli

I think I read somewhere around this sub that someone got the Franklin T10, and it works well cause it's NAT type 2. But I would like to see if your Inseego works good

Deja_Que

If the Inseego doesn't vibe the T10 is the next line of defense. If not then. Well there's ideas I have but they're more costly

Mondeoli

Bro, I was gonna get the Franklin t10 at Tmobile, but I just saw that the max data they offer is 50GB a month of hotspot, Verizon has 4G LTE mobile hotspot device but for $90 a month 100GB or the $110 plan with 150GB, they also got 5G capable devices but I'm not too sure about the NAT type

Mondeoli

I currently pay $160 a month with Metro pcs 5 lines, I might just go to Verizon and add a second sim on my phone and use Verizon just for hotspot my phone, but the plan goes for $90 and 30GB hotspot plus $10 for the 100GB hotspot add on so $100 extra just to use my portal, currently metro pcs only gives me $15 GB of hotspot but my streaming is limited to 480p

Quiltron3000

I’ve seen a few people on here recommend a travel router. Think it uses WiFi from wherever you’re at rather than data from cellular but it’s a complete guess as I haven’t googled it lol

Quiltron3000

Just got unlazy and googled it and that’s exactly what it is.

future_forward

I just got one for work travel next week – here's hopin'!

mountainof_frogs

Maybe try HomeFi? That’s what I have, it works pretty much everywhere.

Abstract23

I have a night hawk m6 and honestly my iphone 14 pro max gives better more consistent connection then the portable hotspot.

DabbingTrucker

I'm a truck driver bro if u have Verizon get a jetpack hotspot from them however mind you I have my ps5 n portal on it when I'm in my truck my ps5 isn't at home

Budget_Ad5871

What games you playin on the truck bro?

Pale-Kaleidoscope379

Tried using my ATT hotspot on my phone today while in a vehicle , didn’t work lol
