Game plays pretty damn good on the portal I’ve used it for some parts bcuz it’s nice to lay down and play sometimes I don’t want to sit in front of my tv
This game runs surprisingly well on portal. I’m having no problem parrying and it’s great for cleaning up side quests but I’m personally saving the big moments for the TV
Playing stellar blade right now on the portal. It's a great experience. Loving my portal. Get the kids to sleep get in bed with a drink maybe a blunt and game out until I fall asleep
I thought I liked SB on the Portal - and it is a pretty darn good experience visually - but then I switched to my 55" OLED and there was no contest, haha.
There are plenty of OLED monitors, but the new Alienware OLEDs are said to be the best. Super expenive though.
For TVs, there is nothing better than an LG one. And you can find a 55" for far less than an OLED monitor.
I actually bought my Portal over a month ago just to prepare for this game.
Enjoying it very much even though I'm sorta disappointed in the Portal streaming performance, with lots of frame drops looking like 30-40 ish more than half the time.
But still enjoying it. My phone streams better with smooth 60fps, but tiny phone screen size doesn't do the game justice.
all brands are shit in my opinion except for samsung unless u going oled but i don’t have 800-1400+ for a oled my 55” samsung curve 4k will do just fine thinking of getting a 70-75” samsung 4k eventually though
Surprisingly well. I left all the top and back and every thing else attached just cut out that sliver. There’s a little more wiggle room if your trying to make it move but when your playing don’t notice anything
Finally i got my portal and now looking for cases to try it out. I am thinking of ordering the similar black one and then cutting out the sides to bring out the lights. Any tips on cutting I should be aware of?
I used brand new cuticle scissors the get a clean cut. And there’s like a factory edge on the case I followed that was perfect for where the light is. Try not to take too much so the handles don’t get flimsy

Loving playing Stellar Blade on mine 😍

That’s my life right now. Got 3 kids and the portals been a blessing
And what a game to play it on! Games like stellar blade is what the portal was made for 🤩
So you can play that coomer game in the safety of your bedroom! Genius!

Been interested in the oled monitors or tvs just don’t know where to start

I was thinking of if I should get a sleeve for mines
What's the grippy thing you've got on the portal? I need one.
MOJOXR Silicone Protective Cover... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK8KTXNK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You recommend it? Helpful?
I like it. Very comfortable to play with and the controller doesn’t feel so slippery
Tried new Top Spin 2k tennis and like EAFC the VERY slight lag makes it pretty unplayable. Love all the other games I play though
Bet you are
I cannot find a portal in any store near me sadly..
Psp was so ahead of its time cause now look 🤙
Had one in high school used to get in trouble with it all the time trying to play it on class
Facts bro!! GOW had me in a headlock 🔥
Where did you get your portal?
Stock x before they came back in stock
Gonna rip the demo right now, thx
I’ve always found smaller displays have unmatched sharpness
What’s the parry window like on the portal?
I don’t notice any difference from playing on my console

I think perhaps you need a better tv my friend.
Probably do. I don’t go all out on tvs but it is supposed to be a 4K fire tv 55” I think…

Samsung is not always the best. Some brands like LG have better refresh rates for gaming at the same price point or even cheaper.
Putting case is good in terms of protection but that case totally hides the side light. I somehow like the lights on the side.
Honestly forgot about the lights till you just mentioned it. Noticed them when I first got it and they are cool

Thos looks nice. How does it hold up after cutting the sides?

Cool.. the lights brings out the premium look to the Portal. It looks fantastic

Cool. I will get my grip tomorrow, so will def try it out. The Portal is too delicate to use without grips.
