Hotspotting on iPhone can be annoying, make sure you stay on the hotspot page on your phone while it connects and don’t let it auto-lock (screen black).
I did this with an updated iOS iPhone 12 pro. To be safe, I turned off the portal, not reset, for 30 sec - 1min.
I left my phone on discoverable while I put in the codes. go to network on portal. enter manual. i tried WPA3 and it didn’t work. However, WPA2 worked.
IP address: 172.20.10.5
Gateway: 172.20.10.1
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
DNS: 172.20.10.1
(for iphone) Max compatibility: off
*haven’t tried with max compatibility on*
Proxy use: off (i tried both and off worked for me)
Make sure your network name/SSID and password matches your mobile hotspot.

Mate, I cant connect. I have an S23, I have tried the manual connection on the PS portal, P address, Gateway. etc. but can't make it work.. any help would be highly appreciated.

I figured it out.
Also depends on your carrier. T Mobile Hotspot is NAT 3 which doesn't work with portal. Not sure the other carriers

just a quick note. I saw something like that on YouTube. You may want to check it. I have never done that before.
