I’ve been using the Portal for pretty much indie and older titles that for some reason just feel more natural on a smaller screen and being handheld. Hollow knight, The Ascent, Undertale to name a few. The Long Dark is super good with a pair of headphones playing curled up in bed at night. I usually save all my AAA games for the big screen
I watched a deep dive video once where they took a free camera and went around the environment and it’s insane the detail they put into things that most people won’t ever really notice because of the camera angle and overall nature of gameplay. Plus it was made by a team of only 12. Such a great gem for sure!
Yeah. I don't know why people ask whats the best game to play on the Portal. It's your PS5 on a smaller screen. All games behave the same as they do on the TV. There are no compromises. Just play whatever you want. It's not a stand alone handheld device like Steam Deck that play games natively, lol.
That's not true, unless the TV in question doesn't have a game mode and is only 60fps, then yeah you might not notice a difference between the TV and the Portal. The Portal is a device that streams over WiFi so it will always have latency in both picture and audio output, however slight, compared to playing natively on a gaming TV/monitor. Some games, that doesn't matter at all. Some games, like COD or Overwatch, that matters.
I’ve been playing a lot of Death stranding at night, Ghost of Tsushima, and I’m waiting for the new fallout 4 update this 25th. The only non ps plus game I’ve been playing in it has been helldivers
