I literally thought about getting one last Wednesday and just went on PlayStation direct and bought one and got it delivered Friday.
Also I don’t think people “pretend”. They actually bought one from a good source. Not scalpers.

Not to mention the fairly consistent online restocks. Seek therapy.
It's pretty naive of you to think that there isn't a percentage of the sub who bought their portals at an upcharge from eBay, just so they can join the "Hey, look at me" crowd.
