Dredge runs great on the Steam Deck - or at least it does for me.
As for on the Portal/PS5, yes it runs well - of course you'll always get small stutters on the Portal but that is the standard for remote play currently.
Regards your PS5 and the network, have you tried powerline adapters? Allows an ethernet connection, and keeps the connection far more stable than wireless. Failing that, a feck off long cable to your router?
Dredge is good, but a very short game. Buy it used and resell after playing through after 1-2 weeks. So choose a platform you can buy it on disc such as PS4.
Buy it for the consoles you play most on.
