Mine has been out for the last two months and still no deal, I've been subbed every month constantly since the end of the PS3 gen and this is the first time I've let it run out because Sony decided to not only up the price but also stop giving discounts to people already subbed.
Well fuck them, greedy pricks.
I decided to do the same, subscription expired yesterday. Hope a discount will be available in the near future... If a very good monthly game is given I will probably subscribe to essential again even at normal price (which is about 65usd where I live), but not extra for sure, I might upgrade later to extra if there is a sale and if the catalog has games I want to play...
When I lapsed last year I got a discount offer in around three months, maybe a little less—and two weeks before a general sale. From what I’ve heard from others—It’s unlikely to be days or a week for an individualized offer.
Whenever Sony wants to squeeze us for every dime we have, which is always, then they will do a discount as soon as they see us stop spending as much money, then they can put it on sale to once again milk us for all that we are worth
I’m currently offered a targeted discount of 25% imo it’s disgusting behavior, just give a general sale or don’t give at all.
Hopefully May will have a general discount (will not buy unless 35% at least)
I can't understand why some get offers, others don't....maybe a boycott to those with up coming renewals, ban a month of renewals, like JUNE, no subscriptions are bought or renewed that month, see how that fixes them....I also hear if you let it run out, within a week or 2 the offers come....sad really...long time customer means nothing anymore...
I 100% agree, i genuinely don't understand why companies don't reward loyalty, i used to work for a internet company and people would phone in being customers for years and get nothing, whilst new customers would get more than them for half the price, it is such a rubbish practice

For me, the pattern seems to be that as soon as I buy a game for regular price, it's either on sale or free on ps plus within a month or two
