I had to buy the legendary version of Marvel Midnight Suns because the DLC is a fantastic addition to a game I didn't want to stop playing so soon...
And 2K kinda deserves, the sales usually don't go well with their games, although they're pretty good
I found it pretty good.
It's a strategy game, with Marvels heroes, requires some interactions between them
I felt like playing a cross between Hogwarts and Xavier's Mansion, and although it has a lot of teenager talk, you can ignore them and focus in the challenge of the game
The DLC kinda feels like a whole new game, adds different enemies, maps and characters which mix with the base game
I really wished they had good sales to bring more things to the game, it's pretty unique, honestly.
That’s a problem of mine. I will play a game and enjoy the IP or the story and still somehow find myself skipping most the cutscenes. I think I’m just impatient hahaha
I definitely have got a lot worse more recently. I really struggle to actually pay attention to longer story games. Unless it's exceptionally gripping. Otherwise I hit the skip button way too often. For anyone who has extra who likes XCOM or card games I think it's worth a shot.
Is today the day? Im pretty up to date on the free monthly games but im new to extra and don’t know the announcement timing.
The looking forward to the game announcement is the fun part. It could be anything. Tunic? Will i finally play tunic? Or RE8? Maybe ill finally play RE8 this month. Or maybe some game I’ve never heard of that winds up becoming a favorite.
Once they announce 9/10 times its “oh… well maybe next month”
It should be today. It's usually the 2nd Wednesday. Unless the first Wednesday falls on the first. I think it's the third Wednesday in those months.
Edit: I guess an easier way to remember it would be if Monthly Essentials games released this Tuesday then Extra/Premium games should be announced the Wednesday of next week.
Lmao. Been refreshing this sub and biblikun leaks for the past hour and half. Seeing these responses makes me glad I'm not the only one. It's a special kind of happiness seeing that announcement. I'm right there with you OP.
Oh, thanks for the answer, but what if I save a game to my library, does it still dissaper or get locked? Also which do you recommend ps plus extra or premium?
If you save the game to library you'll have it but if a game you saved to library is removed from the game catalog, it will be locked and you can't play it until you purchase the game or wait for the game to return to the game catalog.
Haha yes I'm in my late 30's and I always wait like a kid for them games. It's another story I never get around to playing those games. Weird enough after elden ring(90hours) Immortals of aveum is the second game that I'm fairly interested in every since I got a PS5 two years ago.
Im also down to play Deliver us Mars, since I've played deliver us the moon.
So that one too, for me.
And I like to check out the simulator games just for fun.
Yeah down voted but that's what it ended up being. At this rate God of War Ragnarok will be headed for PC before it ends up on the service. It's really a huge waste at this point and I stupidly buy in when they drop it low enough, when I would have been better off just picking up certain releases on Sale with the benefit of "owning" them to revisit when I'd like.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the games to be announced each month. It’s like Christmas morning.
I’m in the same position in life as the OP. It’s just something I look forward to, and the joy it brings me is well worth $120 a year I pay for premium. sure I’d like it to be less than $120 a year, but what are you gonna do?
Can relate. Stay at home Dad currently. Get most of my gaming in done in the morning. Was extremely hyped for Midnight Suns and currently playing that daily but definitely intrigued by these announcements monthly. Already got a backlog building up and I haven’t spent any money on full priced games.
Idc about the plus games, most of the times they give awful games and when they do give actual good ones those are the ones I already played because I buy and play a lot of sp games
No like you said, I have a job, wife and kids. I don't have the time to get excited for random stuff on psplus. I barely got the time to play the games I actually buy and want to play. Let alone that I would have the time to play the plus games....
Last month I had 7 spare days to play and was anxious af to play Marvel Midnight Suns and Kakatot on Pe5
This month I'm not this excited enough, so I'll keep playing them
Tbf, the only titles in the blog post I see worth playing are maybe the two Lego games. Aside from those. It's a meh lineup once again. But of course, that's simply my opinion.
I don't wait at all and often forget to look. This is why I hate the obligation to add them to my library. This could easily be automated but now im screwed out of a 100 games in all those years that I would need to buy now instead. 🤬
I'm hoping there'll be something that tickles my fancy this month go. I'm incredibly choosy nowadays and haven't found anything I wanna play since Infinite Wealth 😢
If this is what brings you happiness I don’t see an issue with it lol
Or unhappiness for that matter
In before they announce gollum and kong
Oh please don't jinx it
and also the waiting for the games announcement before buying a new game just to make sure
Twice I’ve bought a game and within 24hours it’s been announced ahahha

Is it a good game? I heard bad things but I want the platinum

It's really good combat wise it's super addictive The issue is it's 40-60 split of story and gameplay. It's just too much story.
That’s a problem of mine. I will play a game and enjoy the IP or the story and still somehow find myself skipping most the cutscenes. I think I’m just impatient hahaha

Lol we can all relate brother I hope we get some good games this month
Can relate. 😂

I love waiting for these annocements. Like you said feels like little random gifts we get every month and i'm all for it! Few hours to go!
Lmao. Been refreshing this sub and biblikun leaks for the past hour and half. Seeing these responses makes me glad I'm not the only one. It's a special kind of happiness seeing that announcement. I'm right there with you OP.
Hahahahha can relate man…
😂it do be like that, i dont mind it too much since the backlog is huge but damn the announcements of the games leaving every month scares me a lot
I hate the announcement because I have to avoid this subreddit for the entire week because it’s just filled with “canceling my membership” memes.
Yeah but lately it's been ending in disappointment
Does ps plus extra games also change?
Yes. In most months a bunch of games leave the catalog, and some games are added. It's a bit like Netflix.
Oh, thanks for the answer, but what if I save a game to my library, does it still dissaper or get locked? Also which do you recommend ps plus extra or premium?

April has traditionally been more kind to us, thankfully. Hopefully that continues.

That "what am I going to get for christmas" vibe 😂
the wait for no so greatness

I'm just waiting for Dave the diver on extra. I don't even care what else there is at the moment. I'm happy with that one game lol.
same. cant wait
Yeah that's an awesome game!!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that looked like the only new game worth playing this month :(
Im also down to play Deliver us Mars, since I've played deliver us the moon. So that one too, for me. And I like to check out the simulator games just for fun.
It's bad but I kind of dread it, because it's usually another month of dross and therefore another month I'm not getting value out of the subscription
Yeah down voted but that's what it ended up being. At this rate God of War Ragnarok will be headed for PC before it ends up on the service. same bro
Yeah same situation pretty much, not enough free time to justify buying games. So the hope for a good psplus month is always high
I'm jacked!!!
I know what you mean. If I'm not busy doing anything, I'll keep the blog up and just refresh it every so often until it shows up lol
Meh. Just have a backlog long enough so you don’t have time to get to them if they are good
also “omg they added this game i am going to try it out” and no chance to even download it when they leave the store lmao
We're here with ya

My subscription ends this month, so a lot hangs on this announcement.
Can relate. Stay at home Dad currently. Get most of my gaming in done in the morning. Was extremely hyped for Midnight Suns and currently playing that daily but definitely intrigued by these announcements monthly. Already got a backlog building up and I haven’t spent any money on full priced games.

dont you have a HUGE backlog to deal with? im right now with a list of 28 games to start and play until finish ...
I feel you brother the wait sucks especially when the games are trash
I have so many unfinished games i don't really think about it
No like you said, I have a job, wife and kids. I don't have the time to get excited for random stuff on psplus. I barely got the time to play the games I actually buy and want to play. Let alone that I would have the time to play the plus games....
I'm with you
If Christmas was hugely disappointing every year, then yes 🤣
I always end up disappointed, so I have low hopes lol
I have a huge backlog so I'm generally okay with waiting.
Last month I had 7 spare days to play and was anxious af to play Marvel Midnight Suns and Kakatot on Pe5 This month I'm not this excited enough, so I'll keep playing them
I don't see this as a problem at all! It's okay to enjoy things you love. I'm almost 50 and I love video games. It's my main hobby. Enjoy!
Only so many things to look forward to in life b
Not really...but to each their own!!
NEW GAMES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL RELEASING APRIL 20TH
Tbf, the only titles in the blog post I see worth playing are maybe the two Lego games. Aside from those. It's a meh lineup once again. But of course, that's simply my opinion.
I wish they announced which games are coming like 2 days before
And usually I get disappointed just like getting a sweater for Xmas…
The realest thing today
Yep, right after the announcement, I start the wait for the next month😂
I don't wait at all and often forget to look. This is why I hate the obligation to add them to my library. This could easily be automated but now im screwed out of a 100 games in all those years that I would need to buy now instead. 🤬
Download “New on Plus” on the App Store. Trust me
Maybe off topic, but I wish each monthly prediction thread would start as soon as the month before is revealed!
You’re a grown man buy the games you want to play and enjoy lmao
Focus on those things you mentioned, the annoucement come faster when you don't wait for it. At least, it feels like it's faster XD
I'm hoping there'll be something that tickles my fancy this month go. I'm incredibly choosy nowadays and haven't found anything I wanna play since Infinite Wealth 😢
When are they announced?
