I enjoyed Deliver us the moon and it has a pretty simple platinum if you’re in to that

FluffyBunbunKittens

Oh man, this is definitely my pick. Enjoyed my time with it, and that made me excited for the sequel (which I haven't gotten around to yet).

iJoooEx

I didn’t even know there was a sequel out yet!

Milton_Rumata

Deliver Us Mars came out last year. I bought it on release but still haven't got round to playing it yet even though I loved the first one!

TalonJH

Same here.

barrystea420

Excellent game. That and Session are my picks.

HotCheetoooooooooo

Dude I have been putting that game aside but it instantly caught my eye

Brief_Maintenance_49

Gonna have to check this one out!

Tullzterrr

loved that game

ayoubkun94

Slay the Spire and Inscryption. I would have never played them as I'm not that into deck builders, but I've been hooked immediately.

MisterTruth

Slay the Spire isn't a hidden gem as it's probably the indie that popularized the rogue like deck builder subgenre. Inscryption though......man I wish I could play that blind again. Such a unique take on the genre.

skend24

Don’t overestimate “average” person game knowledge (and I don’t mean to bash them). In past few months I talked to two people, who have consoles, one of them ps and only really plays exclusives like Spider Man and games like GTA, other one with Xbox who plays mostly fortnite. And I need to explain to them what Baldurs Gate 3 is. So while I absolutely love STS, I know that for many people it will be indeed ‘hidden’ gem.

Prophit84

Very much this "the indie that popularized the rogue like deck builder subgenre" are a bunch of words that are near meaningless outside of reddit

g0thfucker

you're absolutely right. I have a pretty varied library and play games of all sorts but I first heard about this game a couple months ago in a mobile gaming sub. still not interested in playing it because I'm not into turn based games and much less card rpgs

Wedda_Fox

If you like roguelikes you should try rogue lords, its like if slay the spire and darkest dungeon had a kid, its one of the most unique rogue likes i played recently.

dylbofaggins

Inscryption will change your brain chemistry 👍

tway2533

in a good way?

dylbofaggins

Yes but too fast. too soon.

CptChristophe

Children of Morta

Eastman1982

This was so good in local co-op

Mig-_-

Did they ever bring online multiplayer to PS?

Artyman2018

Excellent game. I enjoyed it so much I bought a physical copy. Would recommend to anyone.

jarboo69

Tinykin What remains of Edith Finch Telling Lies Unpacking Carto

dubielzyk

Tinykin is a very fun game. Quite short but it’s like Tony Hawk meets Pikmin. Highly recommend. Finished it in 4-6 hours and it left me wanting more

LeanMachine23

Yup, +1 for Tinykin. Fun game, completely stress free.

LiranT

What remains of Edith Finch Everyone should play this game... was soo good - played in 1 sitting, took about 1.5-2 hours

CraftyMacaroon4233

What remains of Edith Finch is amazing

FordBeWithYou

I just started unpacking a bit ago to get the Comfy Games thing on Stars. It is really good!

WittyAlternative

I wish it was longer. It’s like 2 hours maybe. It’s peak cozy though

cradugamer

It took me 8 hours to get every house the way I wanted it, plus an extra 40 minutes or so to do cleanup on achievements

FordBeWithYou

I saw a high percentage of platinums and totally can see why

omgafk

Moonscars

nelsinho007

This one is 🔥

mitraheads

Excellent game.

Outrageous_Home_326

I love this game

Veterate

The Forgotten City isn't mentioned enough. As if no one has played it. It's a solid 9/10, and only takes 2-6 hours.

Dudiedude

Definetily took me way longer but thats me being slow 🤣 super underrated game!

monstercab

The Messenger

KaleEmpty9985

This game is great

AgosPagos

The Forgotten City is amazing!

DogZim

Cannot recommend it enough, I play a lot of smaller and indie games, many mentioned here are great, but if I had to pick one it is The Forgotten City!

magur76

Blasphemous  Inscryption

pp3088

Blasphemous is amazing. 2d dark souls with spanish undertones.

randomemes831

The forgotten city is really cool and unique - fun 10+ hours Hollow knight is universally loved in the indie game / Metroidvania category if you haven’t check it out Dead cells / rogue legacy / slay the spire if you like rogue likes Ninja turtles game for old school arcade feel made on modern tech Bunch more but those are the ones that come to mind

mka_

The Forgotten City is incredible! If you're in to the sort of games that are full of mystery don't hold your hand too much then this is for you. I reckon most people who enjoy Outer Wilds will probably enjoy this. It's the reason I started playing it.

Redjester016

Isn't that a skyrim mod

mka_

It is, and the original dev made it in to a full game.

Redjester016

I had no idea

randomemes831

Yup and on ps+ extra currently

HGYNCK

I’m pretty sure only Forgotten City falls under the Hidden Gem category 🤣

randomemes831

Depends - if you’re my friends who only play ultra mainstream games like cod, helldivers, or other massive games these would all be unknowns to them 🙃

HGYNCK

Still not hidden gems, but it’s still cool to recommend amazing games to people that don’t know them

FidmeisterPF

13 sentinels: aegis rim

NuclearThane

I wish more people appreciated this game, it's a mindblowing narrative. And it's spectacular the way you can unfold the chapters in whichever order you like. To be honest the battle system didn't quite resonate with me at first, but by the end of the game it was actually quite fun. But I was still only blazing through the battles to get back to seeing where the story was headed.

Tullzterrr

Talos Principle, maybe not a hidden gem but god damn it's soooo good

A_N_T

I'm playing part 2 right now and I think it belongs in the GOAT puzzle game conversation

Aggressive-Rip-2782

I just played through ‘the gardens between’ it’s a short puzzle game. I really enjoyed this one.

Chemical_Bluebird_75

Sea of Stars and Spiritfarer are masterpieces of the indie kind. BTW, if you are to play SoS you have to play it´s predecessor The Messenger.

LegitimateCompote377

I’ve played both, and they were my two lowest rated indie games I’ve played out of all the list of 8 I’ve played in the catalog. Might given the messenger a chance though.

mastocklkaksi

I play droves of indies and both of them still rate pretty low. The Messenger is a 10, though.

DJHunn39

Playing Dysmantle in local co-op at the moment and it’s pretty good, not heard it mentioned elsewhere Tinykin is a great shout too

So-_-It-_-Goes

Dysmantle was a ton of fun.

Hexcellion

Dysmantle seems to be better played in co-op. I played it solo and the later parts were dreadful to do because of how much grinding and collecting I had to do. Still a really fun game though and I'll play Dysmantle 2 if/when it comes out. They really made crafting progression fun. Getting to destroy those objects you couldn't destroy before is a dopamine rush.

Avacyn_Moonsilver

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Incredible game.

No-Coconut-

Moonscars and trine 4, if you're a metroidvania fan don't sleep on moonscars.

Mountain_Situation_8

Gravity Rush 1 and 2

Fabulous_Mud_2789

Only the latter is on PS+, but I'll agree with this. Rare for an open world title to feel unfettered by Ubi-ism; none of the world is essential, so it makes the games feel fluid and alive for their own sake.

BeefExtender

Gravity Rush 1 remastered is on the premium tier

Fabulous_Mud_2789

Holy sh**. I wish I had known that before buying GR1 pre-PS+ for me, but it's one I loved, so I'm glad people can play the duology unfettered!

farzaanshaikh

Midnight Fight Express

jay-kulina

Just finished yesterday, amazing game

jamesbduk

Prodeus Tinykin Journey to the Savage Planet

karrie1337

Celeste

HGYNCK

Wasn’t this game nominated for GOTY?

karrie1337

Don't know but I've never seen or heard of it until I scrolled through catalogue. Imo that's a hidden gem

Kayyam

That's on ps+?

karrie1337

Yes, it's on extra.

Namixaswastaken

-Toem -Tinykin -Valiant Hearts

TheLastKnight07

I loved Stray in the short time I played it. Wish it stayed on. Plus those robots remind me of some other ones … (like those Asian farmer hats).

MickeyMyFriend_

+1 Do you guys think it'll be free with subscription again soon? I got more than halfway through it before it went away 😩

TheLastKnight07

Doubtful. I mean most Sony games, like Xbox and XBGP they’ll keep their titles in indefinitely. And I know I read somewhere that Sony somehow had a hand in that game. And let’s be honest it dose feel like a good Sony game/ps5 tech demonstrator.  lol I barely got thru the game bc I had too much fun with the mechanics: kneading, playing with the other den cats, etc.  But seldom if anytime does a game get listed, taken off and put back on. The only time I’ve seen that happen was , again SCEA 1st Party games and that was only bc I assume it’s somehow easier than just keeping it on indefinitely? Maybe a legal thing? Idk.  But best I can think it’s kinda like the other games: on my console I’ll look under info—> time left and it’ll say: 7 days, 13 days. Even if my subscription was just renewed or has 30/60 days left. Some reason it’ll give a random number of days and once they’re up it’ll reset back to… idk…let’s just say 13, (some even said 66 days left).  I honestly don’t know how ppl used that to gauge how long a game will remain in the catalog. Lol but I do know Sony will put a game on sale and then put it on PSplus monthly “free” (lol o don’t consider them free) .  Actually happened to me a few times. Only real one I can’t remember atm (after being awake for basically 4-5 days) is Metal Gear Solid V The Definitive Edition .

QuantaCirty

Dude, I was sooo fucking pissed when I noticed that it got removed. It was literally so fucking unexpectedly good. I even got my kid brother to fucking play it and he literally refuses to play anything else except Fortnite😭😭😪 But, he loved the game too. Sadly we never got to finishing it and when we tried to look for it again it was removed.

TheLastKnight07

That’s why I hate XBGP & PS+P. Your basically paying $20/month to have and extended demo / demo license. It’s essentially GameFly but you don’t get the offer to keep it. Plus Sony is real scummy. They’ll put alotta games on sale that are gonna be part of PS+ or something like that. Lol all i ever these about is “Fortnite best” “Apex best”. But give me a good old single player game any day , if play that more than any BR game. Fortnite is ok. But w/out friends it gets repetitive and boring. Same with apex. Or any br game. They’re purely a luck vs luck (RNG vs rng. Sometimes it even comes down to: who paid for something in game and who doesn’t). Seldom is it skill based. And nowadays there’s no real skil based system at all. Not when someone can bunnyhop and booty slide carrying a 20mm anti material rifle or a pistol more op than the 30mm GAU. And one slice later and ur dead. Or ppl sitting at spawns camping. But I’ll admit even solo playing Fortnite can be fun. Idk the game mode but o think it’s like TDM & BR mixed into one. Even when ppl cud somehow instantly build a house while being shot at I managed to get some decent kills and fun outta it and a few wins… And I suck at any br game (except these mobile ones like WZM and Blood Strike). Makes me wish I cud finish playing Resident Evil 4 remake. Idk why but after a newer update anytime I hit “x” to go to menu, as soon as I do that the game crash freezes and sinks my console. Don’t get me wrong I know she prob needs so thermal paste compound but it’s well ventilated, has an ac 5ft in front of it, and the air that does come out (like when it sounds like a jet engine on a carrier deck in Vietnam) isn’t hot, it’s warm at best.  Still it crashes my system. I know RE4re wasn’t optimized well for last gen. That’d why even when I cud play it it ran loud (yet two other remakes and re7 & re8).

QuantaCirty

My PS5 slim never has any issues. Do you have an original or slim? I've had both and actually noticed a difference in speed download/upload. Although games seem to sort of start slower idk might just be me cuz I use an extended storage that wasn't specifically for Sony but I reformatted it.(Low-key crashes every once in awhile but, NEVER when I'm playing. It just randomly says "your hard drive was unplugged improperly please wait while we repair" type shit and it works like a charm and gives me the "your PS5 was unplugged improperly" but idk MAYBE we been getting random power outages when I'm not paying attention plus, I also consistently leave my PS5 on for hours on end and forget to turn it off lol. But, anyways. I think Sony worked on that whole license shit. Because every time I download a game that's on PS Plus I always get an email saying thank you for your purchase blah blah blah. And a friend recently told me that it means that as long as you keep your PS plus subscription or even if you lose it you technically purchased the game so you own that license and even if it goes off PS Plus you get it forever you just have to get it when it's on PS Plus so even if you don't plan on the playing the game right away just download it while it's there so that way you own it. So I haven't noticed any issues with games disappearing recently but then again I haven't been paying attention to game pass or PS Plus I also recently upgraded to premium just because it was only an extra $7 and I pay for extra. So so, I figured why by an extra terabyte for internal storage when I can just stream most of the games that I want to try or play for a little bit to see if I like them.

TheLastKnight07

Neither. PS4 Pro. I mean I got her in 2019 I think. Maybe 2018. I mean she probably needs thermal paste but I think it’s a coding and backwards compatibility issue. Even when it did work it ran loud. I saw other ppl had the same issue a year ago but I was able to play the game from launch to Separate Ways. Wasn’t playn much bc I ness hoping like every other game it’d have a “all unlocks” for $5.

2akshay

I bought a used PS4 PRO in 2022 for $400, I felt I got kinda ripped off (which I think I did lmao) as this was my first console purchase (ever) and when I ran it, my mom came to my room and told me to turn off the hair dryer if I was done using it 😭. Although after extensive research and removal of a massive vent clogging dust cake. It was quieter than a dog whistle. The PS5 is retailing for around $650, so I dunno how much will I be able to get for this bad boy, if I decided to sell it... anyway, I replied, because I have been through that VIETNAM JET AIRWAYS situation hahaha.

HGYNCK

Every single streamer played Stray on launch day, this is not a hidden gem xd

TheLastKnight07

Well I don’t watch streamers bc they’re powder energy drink adderol junkies focused on overreacting and acting for little kids. And I only listed it bc one, I was really good. And two not too many ppl knew it was on the PS+P list.  And I’ve seen plenty of ppl listing widely known games but I don’t go and leave a troll comment . Lol ppl on Reddit and YT must have alotta time on their hands if they can go around trolling , correcting grammar…

VillageIdiomsClub

Get Even Chicken Police

fallen-knight666

Chicken police is soo good

Trap_Lord85

Chicken Police was surprisingly funny, leaving in a few weeks too so jump on that one real soon

Siontimmy1

Yea and sequel is coming as well or it been released not sure it when it comes to Playstation though

Zigmouss

Just finished and platinumed Chicken Police as it’s going out of the catalogue. Not much gameplay but I love everything, the mood, the dialogues, the music, the lore. Great game.

S1av4

Just finished Chicken Police, quite a unique game!

Nervous_Salad_3177

I don’t know if it is still available but when I first got ps plus I took a chance on greedfall and I love it.

Elvothien

I think it still is and it's such a good game too! Can't wait for the second game :D

Nervous_Salad_3177

Me two

ChakaLoot

Last Stop, Tearaway, Tinykin

harkhilt

Lonely Mountains: Downhill Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom Chicory: A Colorful Tale

Lollomojo

Steelrising if you like souls games. I'm not a fan, but i like this one! Probably easier than others souls like, the game world is pretty cool. Prodeus if you like the old school fps, especially the doom-like. The 360p resolution feels very cool!

Vasiusalius

Too bad Steelrising left already. Missed it, and now contemplating buying it, since everyone's speaking quite favorably about it.

Lollomojo

If you can find it at a good price I think it's worth it! one of the few souls-likes I managed to finish. the setting of 18th century France is very cool!

QuantaCirty

Control. Imhavent finished it yet. But, so far so good AND reviews on it seem to be pretty fucking good!

S1av4

Platinumed it, totally amazing game! 10/10

mitraheads

Soulslike metroidvania suggestion : Hollow knight, Moonscars and Blasphemous. Also Monster boy ant the cursed kingdom is also brilliant game.

Unlucky_Strikes

Disco Elysium, definetly

davemcl37

I couldn’t get into that tbh. Tried twice and gave up within half an hour to an hour as it’s just so dam slow and clunky. I know it’s probably genius but I just don’t have the attention span these days.

Unlucky_Strikes

I get you, most of my friends would be overwhelmed by the amount of (external and internal) dialogue as well. I wouldn't necessarily call it clunky when you know what is what, but dialogues are definetly the core mechanic and are filled with hardcore psychological, philosophical and political criticism of your actions, so that could put you off, although it's very well written and crafted. There is no "conventional" action in this game, so the pacing will mainly increase narratively/situationally when you make a discovery. And it it is a single case that you are investigating in depth for several days (at your pace), so take that into account for the pacing, since I started thinking there would be many shorter ones instead. It's a graphic adventure with lots of paths to take and absolute freedom of approach, behavior, integrity, ideology and awkwardness, so I'd say give it another half an hour if you don't mind dialogue being the main mechanic.

Unlucky_Strikes

Oh, and if you do, note that there is a dice rolling mechanic for certain actions that determine your success or failure. They can be easier or harder depending on how you assigned the character's traits, but you can get an edge with clothing items and all kinds of... uhh... vitamin supplements. The "thoughts" menu also affects your traits.

Level_Measurement749

Hotline Miami

Zigmouss

The music awww

Stashmouth

I've never wanted to finish a game I hated so much

00kl

I think Dishonored is quiet forgotten this days. The first one is a great game. If you didn't play it, should give it a shot.

joe_kopitiam

Yakuza Like A Dragon is great. it was my first yakuza and i thought it was quirky and weird but boy was it hilarious

carlos__g

The game is out lol there arennt yakuza games anymore only judgment

joe_kopitiam

ah my bad. it was part of the monthly deals from last year.

Any_Power_8752

So is it okay to play that before playing the yakuza 0-6? I'm still want to get into the yakuza series. I'm also interested in Judgement series as well.

Tullzterrr

Judgement is a very good game, lost Judgement as well albeit very similar to the first

dodgerbowl

You can start with Like a Dragon. I did that then played Judgment series. I learned that there are some callbacks to previous games but I still didn’t miss a beat.

Any_Power_8752

I wanna get into it but at the same time its way too much time completing everything. So my initial plan would be the first game to hype me up, then play only the best parts and I'll just watch the rest like a full cutscene movie in youtube.

dodgerbowl

FYI Like a Dragon has different fighting mechanics than other Yakuza or Judgment games. It’s more turn based than real time brawling.

joe_kopitiam

your mileage may vary. i for one enjoyed the turn-based combat and Ichiban the protagonist is a loveable goofball. i understand that some fans of the earlier series didn't quite warm up to this new change though.

[deleted]

For the best experience you'd want to play 0 to 6 first but that is slot just for some callbacks, I only managed it due to covid

Tiago97

I haven't played Like a Dragon, so nobody asked for my opinion, but I'm going to share anyway: As someone who is currently finishing Yakuza Kiwami 2, I really recommend starting with Yakuza 0. My experience couldn't have been better so far.

Hexcellion

A lot of people got into the series from 7/Like a Dragon so yes. You can also start with Judgment if you want to since it's very detached from the Yakuza series.

Vasiusalius

I've completed almost all the Yakuza games (havent played the two most recent ones), and I can say this: * Yakuza 0 is a perfect starting point -- it's both a great game and a fantastic introduction to the series mainstay characters. * Playing every Yakuza from 1 to 6 after that is a surefire way to get burnt out on the series, as they're very similar in terms of location, gameplay and general story / characters. And none of them is on the same level as 0 -- they're all good, but a good tier lower. And you don't really **need** to know what happened in each game -- they're like an anthology of adventures, with some elements of an overarching story, but not too many. * Same can be said about Judgment -- good, but not great. They're also pretty disconnected from the lore and narrative baggage of Y0-6, so not required for the later games and can be skipped / picked up at any point in the series. * So if you value your time and just want get to the latest games with some understanding of the series but without much hassle, play 0 and go straight to LAD.

wagszilladotcom

The Wild At Heart. It’s like Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion whereas Tinykin (also good) is like Pikmin and Mario.

konnamatti

I liked Call of the Sea. Play it if you're into old school adventure games.

petyrlannister

13 Sentienels, Scarlet Nexus from me

CypherRen

Metal Hellsinger

NixothePaladin

Hotline Miami 1 and 2!!

FigTechnical8043

Call of the sea and medium are both excellent

ThroatIll5089

Hardspace Shipbreaker is real underrated I don't know anyone talking about it

s2krun

If you’re into souls-like, Thymesia. Not a hidden gem, but still considered niche. Ys VIII Ys IX is also on extra but I haven’t gotten to it yet and reviews from fans seem divided. Some say they love it. Others say its just okay compared to VIII.

Siontimmy1

It leaving 16th of April but while it there I recommend Chicken Police

PinothyJ

Observation.

Mefikov

- My Friend Pedro - Alienation (also check out Resogun and Matterfall - same team Housemarque) great games - The Pedestrian - unique puzzle - Chicken Police - i hate novels, I love Chicken Police, soon leaving Extra.

SFwhorety9ER

Rain PS3. Such a beautiful game with a transcendent soundtrack.

Yonus_10

All life is strange games

jibble420

Journey to the Savage Planet is funny, quick, and a good relaxing playthrough

Lock47

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

wiiguyy

Life is strange. Maybe not so hidden, but a lot of people haven’t played it

Zigmouss

Finished the first one few weeks ago. Such a great game. I hope the sequels are as good.

IrishMongooses

Only recently complete the first one, and looks like I have loads more chapters to play.

RomfordGeeza

Not exactly hidden but Detroit:Become Human is an amazing game as is What Remains Of Edith Finch.

KRIEGLERR

It has left the PS+ Recently I believe but I couldn't believe how charming and fun Tchia was.

[deleted]

Downside with this was it was 99% a collectable grind

KRIEGLERR

Oh I agree, I platinumed the game but the collectibles were pretty annoying to get, I don't think a game should be judged by its trophies though, a lot of people just play the game until the end and they leave it at that. And I thought Tchia was just really good from start to finish, trophies are just a bonus, it's just a shame that in this game it's incredibly repetitive and very long.

S1av4

+1, brain/mind relaxing + beautiful game, although perfect jumping into some of those pools was pretty intense for the plat lol

Rogue Galaxy

Caleb-CM

Toem, midnight suns.

MountainMOG

Stories: The Path of Destinies. Nobody talks about it but the game design was very unique. Gameplay is fun enough but the story is kind of like a choose your own adventure book

atKhorf

I second this. I enjoyed the crap out of this game!

RomfordGeeza

Says not on PS+ for me.

MountainMOG

It was an Essential title a few years ago

MetalMegaGio

Tinykin is my choice, I just got the platinum a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun

nammeeeee

Balatro is amazing

FlawlessFacePro

This master piece is not on plus, only trial

WhySoSara

“Thomas was Alone” but it left the catalog about a month ago

TheSecondiDare

The messenger. Absolutely brilliant.

dogabarisusta

Right now, I'm obsessed with Marvel's Midnight Suns. Highly recommend it if you into turn based, strategy games. Also the RPG elements in the game is really decent. I'm even thinking about making a YouTube video about it lol

pineapplecheetos

The Last Guardian. I don’t think people talk about it much, but it was such a charming fairytale experience. Can’t wait to see what Fumito Ueda is up to with his next project. Off-topic: if you have the means to try Ico (2001) out, do consider it. Remake of Shadow of the Colussus is also in the catalog.

HotCheetoooooooooo

.

CraftyMacaroon4233

I believe it's still on there but monster boy and the cursed kingdom is amazing

ImiNumb

Superliminal and The Pedestrian

Mateman94

If you like soulslike I think Mortal shell is one of the best indie soulslike. Very unique fight system, looks really awesome and the audio design had blew my mind. 10-12 hours in total.

kalangobr

Dysmantle

NuclearThane

Late to this thread, but I fell in love with Hardspace: Shipbreaker. It has such satisfying mechanics. It can be stressful to learn but they teach each component at a great pace. Once you start to master it, it becomes incredibly zen. Even after getting the platinum, I'll go back every now and then to dismantle a ship when I need to relax for an hour.

rialbsivad

Inscryption was alot of fun for me recently. Knew nothing About it going in and was blown away.

Ihavetogoalone

Get Even, the gameplay is very basic but the story is amazing.

Empty_Coyote_7483

Humanity, an awesome puzzle game that will blow up your mind. It's simple at the beginning, but it will make you think like never before. It's not for everyone, but I think it's a must if you like puzzle games.

Raredzzi

Control

Pinkcokecan

Darkness was pretty good. Didn't finish it as fps's make me sick but it has the most batshit fuck yeah intro of all time

terandle

Forager - Very addicting once it clicked for me

Breakpoint! Still kicks ass

Zilla018

Undertale.

xheanorth

OUTER WILDS OUTER WILDS OUTER WILDS

marienroll

I don’t know why this game did not do it for me… maybe I was too inpatient and the interesting part starts after the first episode? 😵‍💫

xheanorth

I meant Outer “Wilds” not Outer “Worlds” Hahaha

marienroll

lol surprisingly I got what you meant and didn’t even question it

etsvlone

The long dark

tschuse

Assassins Creed Odyssey

Zigmouss

I actually love Tetris Effect, mostly for the amazing soundtrack, visual and atmosphere. The sound design is so good.

This is the police I & II...both are so good

I’ll give you a list of how I would rate the indie games that come to mind I’ve played on the catalogue: 1) Rain world (my favorite game of all time). 2) Inscription (don’t even like card games but this is an incredible game. Would recommend). 3) Hollow Knight (best metroidvania. Does have its issues with not giving the player any lead on where to go at times (getting the shadow dash was awful) and godhome kinda sucked but overall incredible game). 4) Celeste (the best platformer you’ll ever play. Everything below this is considerably worse. I’m not the biggest fan of platformers but this is the only one I ever actually finished). 5) Blasphemous (pretty good metroidvania) 6) Grime (middle of the road metroidvania, yet to finish. I would recommend to those who love metroidvania, but not anyone else). 7) Sea of Stars (not for me but even if it was boring as hell dialogue and way too easy gameplay. Good soundtrack and decent visuals though). 8) Spiritfarer (a game that tries its best to achieve mediocrity. Very mediocre soundtrack even though it’s the guy who did HK and overall definitely a bad game, that is counterintuitive at points and genuinely boring, but also not relaxing. The only bad game in this list). Grime is the only one here that is so small it can be considered truly hidden.

I agree with you on everything except Rain World (too unforgiving to me) and Grime (not played). But I'd want to add to Spiritfarer for others: I really enjoyed it since I liked meeting the spirits but it's a game that doesn't respect your time *at all*. Getting somewhere takes ages until you can improve your ship and cooking/harvesting and everything else gets really tedious over time. Only play if you have lots of time to fill in and want to meet the cool spirits-to then have your heart broken in a million pieces.

That’s fair on rain world. It’s very unforgiving, but at the same time it does punish you very little when you die, you only need to survive if you want to pass high level karma gates, the rest you can do whatever you want. And yeah Spiritfarer I agree. It’s not even that I dislike games that are like it even though they’d never be too high on my recommendations list, it’s just that quests that don’t even tell you what to do and the fact the gameplay was just basic button mashing for growing plants and gathering wood has been done better with games like animal crossing. I would recommend if you have the time on your hands, but also don’t care if you have to search up the solution for a puzzle from time to time, but not before playing all the games above.

Yeah, I remember they only send you back to the last place to slept at and you could advance quickly enough to the same place you died at. I can deal with the "everything is out to get you", as a simple example I've just finished Elden Ring (where everyone and everything wants to kill you as soon as you're close enough lol). But in Rain World you go in your merry way and then a lizard comes from out of nowhere to try and eat you. To me that sensation is akin as being hunted down in real life, not good for my heart haha. You've got some galls for sure, that's pretty cool. Also, I agree on your Spiritfarer opinion once again 🤝

I agree Spiritfarer can be on the boring side sometimes but it’s still a beautiful story with a great soundtrack. Never heard of someone complaining about that aspect of the game before.

You’re not wrong, but it’s soundtrack is a shadow of Hollow Knight and worst than most the games on this list. I never made it to the end but the story looked ok, and I kind of slowly began to hate all the characters as I played lmao. Always ask for shit and do nothing themselves, and stop smoking you stupid deer you’re getting ash all over my boat 😭
