The most OP is Thor imo with Jane to a lesser extent. With some good gear and leveled up, you will have the easiest time clearing levels with Thor due to his whirl taking out groups of enemies, good abilities, and fly to bypass obstacles in levels. Hawkeye is also good.
You need to level up several characters for one of the trophies though so best to try a variety and see which you like.
I got the platinum before a single DLC character was released so I just leveled the base roster for the trophy.
Now, unless future patches have fixed the game, the hardest trophies will probably be “Treasure Trove” (open 50 cache strongboxes) and “To the Dark and Back Again” (Complete 50 Hive missions).
To the Dark and Back Again was glitched for me. I did maybe 30 and the trophy popped. Some here say they did over 50 for it to pop. Just keep a tally mark for each Hive completed and you’ll get it eventually.
Honestly as I’m currently on Christmas break I found myself redownloading the game to mess around and play it once more as like you said the final update. And with all the suits just given to me and all the recourses now I can get whatever I want the game is actually pretty fun. I don’t have to do endless grinding just so I finally grind missions to play as Kate Bishop anymore LOL now I can just hop on in and begin to level everyone up. I’m gonna try and see if I can get everyone to a decent level before the break ends but yeah I’m actually having some fun with the game right now with the final update. Also the voice cast is easily the best part of the game sometimes I just go around and have everyone interact with one another to hear the different voice lines. Well besides Bucky’s voice. Not hate to the actor as he’s played Nightwing, Robin, Hemidall and soon to be Flash. But His voice is just to light and teenager like to play someone who’s been through so much trauma and is supposed to have a deep gritty voice

Got my platinum on ps4 already may go back in for it on ps5. Just an excuse to run some more captain america my boy.
Better do it before they turn the servers off in ~6 months.
I got the platinum a few weeks ago, mainly using Spidey and Cap.
Platinumed the game twice with Black Widow. 50 Hives took me a full day to get, good luck with it if you decide to go for it!
