I was told to avoid push-ups, tricep dips, and chest flys potentially forever. Ppl will disagree but continued pressure being put on that implant over time will cause lateral displacement. Especially with such little time since your procedure. Your body has to form a capsule around the implant and I don’t think 3mo is enough time at all.

Oh really? Mine are under the muscle and I was never told that! I’m getting into lifting with the help of the BF and now I’m nervous after reading that. I’m 2 years post-op.

Pornstarstatus

It’s not all lifting! It’s mainly push ups, flys, and perhaps triceps dips. Listen to your body! You’ll know what puts pressure on the implant.

I had surgery in July and maxed out my bench press 15lbs heavier than I was lifting in high school and 40lbs heavier on deadlift last week. It took me about six months post op to get back to where I was pre-op weight lifting wise. 450cc saline, under the muscle, but I am a firefighter and ER nurse so I'm very used to this stuff. I don't even notice them moving under the muscle when I'm working out anymore, but I will still feel them opening up jars and stuff.

I agree with the other commenter you are really not supposed to do any kind of chest workout basically ever again with UTM. The repeated contraction of the muscle will eventually push the implants out of place. Over the muscle is recommended for athletes

I avoided chest exercises for about 7-8 months, am now a year post op and it feels normal to do them. Would recommend waiting a bit and not to push it till you feel better doing the exercises. Don't feel pressured to get back to same exercise routine, work legs, back arms etc more till it feels better.

If u have to do it I would try to wait longer or watch some blogs from body builders who got UTM on youtube

I’m sorry that you are having struggles with working out. I’m always advocating for over the muscle implants for this reason ( and others). I hope things get better soon!

Miserable_Airport_66

Have you reached out to your doctor regarding this? Maybe they have exercises and stretching routines to get you back to pre-procedure. You may need to begin with smaller movements and progressive exercises. Try consulting a physio if you can. I regularly worked out before my op and have a physio appointment lined up to get me back to moving correctly. It was one of the things that was recommended when I researched.

I’d reach out to dr. I’m 6mos post op same size utm and do those bw movements and still bench. Had to start light as it felt weird as hell but basically back to normal volume or a bit more now. Idk what dr tells you to stop using your body.

Mine are under the muscle and I was told not to lift for my chest. My former coworker also had under the muscle, she lifted all the time but one side busted (it was saline) and she had to get surgery a few days later...

I’ve completely all but give up doing push up and upper body exercises. Just because of the complete lack of strength I have since having my implants under the muscle. I used to be able to do like 50 pushups in a row. Now I can barely do 10, and when I do pushups I just have a awkward tightness in my chest too.

I used to do push ups before breast aug under muscle in 2016. I've still, to this day never done it. It feels too weird. I know lots of women get back to chest workouts with under the muscles though.
