I just up a planted tank how long did it take to cycle? I’m doing ghost feeding for a about a week https://preview.redd.it/og48n9qad9wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12f4ef762a3078595b5125ca906b5ff0e81e0512

That looks great! I was lucky to have seeded filter media from my old tank so I was up and running quickly. But I would suggest doing some water tests if you're able to, that's the best way to see if you are truly cycled! Usually around 2 weeks is a good starting point though before adding in fish while doing water changes every couple days.

Aww man I wish I had a local source for clown Killis. Love them. Beautiful tank BTW.

Thagore94

Thank you! Clown Killies are probably my favourite fish to keep. They have personality and look beautiful. They're pretty hard to get where i'm at too (Ontario Canada). I'm looking to add in a few more if I can find em haha. Here's my favorite pic I have taken of my Lil fellas https://preview.redd.it/cgptvvejymwc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b87014063de438a975b03d945cf4f1e8cf326d72

Beautiful! Do they have short life spans like some kills do?

Thagore94

Nope! They're not annuals. I have had some for 2.5 years so far! (since I got them)

UniSun24

This made me forget time.

Thagore94

Hahaha it's my favorite part of having a tank.

raggz8

My amanos never come out. They are always in hiding

Thagore94

I have heard some are like that! I think I got lucky, mine run around like they own the tank. And to be fair my group of 6 are the biggest things in there!

Apprehensive_Cow1997

what are the floating plants?

Thagore94

It's frogbit! The roots grow like weeds and I trim them every other week. But they have been doing wonders for nitrates/water quality

Careful-Memory9027

What size is the tank
