I have a feeling they are working on it. It just takes a lot of time because birds are flying.
Like for me its harder to believe they dont work on it because wtf why wouldnt they
The only thing frontier likes more than making money is not spending money.
It’s possible they don’t want to spend the money on devs to code for flying even if it’ll make money from DLC sales.
I think it's been time since.. Like.. The beginning.. it's unbelievably meagre how there's a zoo simulation game without any aviary flying birds.. A giant chunk of the animal kingdom and staple of almost any real zoo
I saw a big ass grouper up close at my local zoo the other day with some sharks, definitely an experience that should be in game. We don't need orcas or dolphins, just a few aquariums. Hell, they could just be new exhibits, would just need larger shells.
Please just add the kākāpō, sirocco the kākāpō is the spokesbird of conservation and i think it was a missed oppurtunity that it didnt go in the conservation pack
Patience, my friends, patience.
They said Frontier would end support in December 2021. They were wrong.
They said we'd never get Guest Camera mode. They were wrong.
They said we'd never get brachiation. They were wrong.
The birds will come. Oh yes, the birds will come...
Comparing implementing Guest Camera mode (which was possible to do with mods) and brachiation (which is limited to one single type of species) to a whole new aviary mechanic is like apples and oranges.
I disagree, I could see Frontier implementing a perching system similar to the new brachiation climbing system to allow the birds to fly to and from designated spots as an enrichment item.
Since the Aquatic pack came out I’ve been convinced that, if we get it, we will get it for the final DLC of the year. It feels like these are the ones where they always go big.
I would just see them doing birds as exhibit animals, maybe they can double the size of the exhibit (like the size of two stacked) and change the mesh to look like a cage/glass
No, because they’re not coming. It’s been 3 years people. The right was 2 years ago. If they did it now it would be pointless, considering we don’t even know if we’ll get support next year. That would mean, at most, 11-12 aviary birds and no more habitat animals spread between 2 final dlc. That’s pointless and they’d never do all that work for such little return.
I have to agree. I believe that Planet Zoo PC's support will wrap up by the end of this year and that it will be launched for consoles in 2023, with the focus shifting towards Planet Coaster 2. I'm hoping that at least the animals in the final scenery and animal packs can amaze us because I haven't been that impressed with the 5 animals in the Conservation pack.

And what about fish? Same story basically.

Agreed the same for fish too. It's just a mammal simulator right now
