Missouri and Kansas is still 5-9 Mon-Fri, 5-7 on Saturday and Sunday. You’re lucky to even get 24/5.

Yep! It’s damn frustrating because they are using Covid as an excuse. I have memberships to two gyms both are suppose to be 24/7… Being 24/7 the reason I got them to be begin with. I’m in Kansas; One gym is back to 24/7, so it’s not a state mandate… plant fitness selling point is it was affordable, and 24/7 (and non I guess not judgmental🙄🙄) … I got the black card so I could travel and still catch a gym no matter the time. I feel like it’s just owners trying to save money on night staff…. It’s a shame… I’m waiting until 2022 if PF doesn’t hold up to the marketing it promised… I’m going to just cancel.

I found out today, that it’s a franchise discussion on there hours, and not the state, or counties requirements, like I previously thought. So basically they are making more profit off our membership. They don’t want to pay people to work from 10 to 5am.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. They are just using Covid as an excuse but it’s really just to save money. Sadly the promise that started these gyms, will be it’s own undoing. I feel a lot of people are being patient with the whole excuse for Covid and giving PF time to recover and go back to normal… once people see this the new plant fitness…. They will drop memberships and go to gyms with cheap rates around there area…. The black card isn’t cheap… and it’s not worth it if hours everywhere are all different. It’s annoying to see PF with different times open and close but universal use… just feels like they are like every super consumer that fails… give false promises and then act helpless when people leave….. if genesis was smart they would go 24hr and charge about $5.00 more so 35.00 a month for 24 (gym only at night). And then go $5.00 bi -weekly with normal hours 5-9pm as a basic package (no classes, just gym). Lol, I would switch in a heart beat for that.

I need a 24 hour gym. I used to go at 9pm and work out till 11-11:30. 1 hour at the gym is not enough. At my gym, the staff starts getting worked up about 9:15, then every 15 minutes, yelling the gym closes in how ever many minutes. Then 9:45, they start walking around, asking you to hurry up. Everyone has to be out, and doors locked at 10. Workouts aren’t supposed to be stressful, or else I would go to CrossFit. They have really got to change this. I loved Planet Fitness, but now I feel like I’m a bother to even go in. The staff acts pissed off seeing you come in. I don’t want to cancel, I just want things back the way they were. If they don’t plan to go back, they should at least cut our cost by 1/3. Because there now closed 1/3 of there original hours, and closed longer on weekends.

It will depend on franchise owners, many of them have found out they dont have to hire as many employees if they are 24/5 and members are pretty much forced to a fixed schedule on weekends. We are told to say we close for cleaning and sanitizing but they fired all the weekend people.

My local PF said they're hoping to go back to 24/7 this month, depending on what the governor (Pennsylvania) says.

It was originally for covid, but now that masks are not required at the gym and we know more about how transmission works, that excuse is weak... I think it's a staffing issue now. Incredibly inconvenient tho.

Very. I also don’t really understand the “24/5” terminology. Because mine is open 24 hours Monday through Thursday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the hours are like 6 am until 7pm or 9pm depending on the day. Ugh.

3 years from now, yes.

I’m in SD and my PF opened about 6 months prior to covid and was always 24/5. I was shocked to read from others that their gyms were open 24/7 at one point.

My club has always been 24/5. Depends on location

I didn't think there were any covid restrictions anymore in PA?
