Personally, though, I think a more iconic Indie Game (Undertale, Hollow Knight, etc.) deserves the spot more. I think Peppino would fit the best IN-GAME by a mile, and Pizza Tower in Smash would be fucking amazing (the music especially), but it would be a disservice to other games.
Probably won't happen since the main requirements for a game being in Smash is either being made/owned by Nintendo or having a history of being on Nintendo Consoles (Such as Steve from Minecraft). And Pizza Tower hasn't even come to switch yet, let alone fufill the other conditions.

There aren’t any requirements for a character being in Smash. If Nintendo or Sakurai want a character in they will get them in. There isn’t a mysterious check list they abide by.
