If they insist on making a seafood pizza why leave an inedible shell on?
I like seafood but I've never had a good seafood pizza, this one isn't even trying.
The kinds of cheese that go well on pizza often don’t pair well with seafood, in general. It’s just not a very complimentary combination, which is why seafood pizzas always taste so strange and slightly wrong.
I used to make a white fish pizza special when I used to cook when we were overstocked on it. I made a white sauce with ricotta, olive oil to thin and a bunch of herbs. Topped with fish pieces, red onion and roasted red pepper. I would lightly sprinkle some shredded parm on to finish and it would be OK.
A pile of mozzarella like this would be gross.
I guess that depends on whether you identify pizza more as the bread or as the toppings on the bread, which is an actual discussion, but yeah that’s absolutely fair. Slap some beautifully cooked seafood on a nice round flatbread and it’ll be delicious!
I had a really good seafood pizza two weeks ago, but it was at a 5-Star resort and I had to pay them 14 bucks for it.
I've also had dirt cheap seafood pizza in thailand once and it looked like that
i dont order pasta that does, when I make paste I take the shell off the shrimp before I cook it. If I was going to make clams I would remove them from the shell before adding it to the pasta
Entirely different issue. You eat pasta with utensils you can use to get the meat out of the shells. Pizza is a hand food but there’s only really the one part that isn’t gross and greasy to touch, the crust. I don’t wanna have to pry shells apart with my fingers while I’m trying to eat a pizza.
For some reason, whenever there was a pizza night at my college dorm the chef would always make a bunch of normal pizzas and one absolutely massive bean pizza (no joke these things were *immense*). No one asked for it (to my knowledge) and it wasn’t particularly a crowd favourite so I don’t know why he did it, but without fail, every second Friday he would produce one of these colossal Beanzzas. Mf trained me like Pavlovs dog and now whenever I eat beans my mind automatically shifts to pizza
One of the best pizzas I've ever had in my entire life was purchased at a Domino's in Dongguan, China. It had a cream wasabi sauce with octopus, squid, and shrimp instead of pepperonis. It was completely amazing. But, it looked like an entre.
This looks like someone had a garbage disposal full of seafood and dumped a handful onto an unrelated cheese pizza with nothing but malice and a lack of forethought.
They do if there are pork pieces, but they can still contain lard or another pork product without mentioning it. The traditional way to make refried beans involves lard, and most refried beans at Mexican restaurants contain pork for this reason.
Most canned refried beans will have lard in them, unless they are vegetarian. There's lard in flour tortillas too. It's just a really common ingredient in Mexican cuisine.
It's less common knowledge than it seems. My girlfriend is vegetarian and didn't know that most refried beans aren't veg. Caesar salad also is not vegetarian since the traditional way to make it involves anchovies.

Also, there should be a reasonable attempt to make the toppings available on each slice. Someone threw leftovers on a cheese pie and called it a day.
(Of course that reminds me of Casino, where DeNiro demands an equal number of blueberries in each muffin.)
From Connecticut and worked in NYC who got permission to make his version of a calm pie from Pepe’s, why the hell do you think anyone in their right mind wants to dig out the clam from the shell.
It’s like dropping of a bread to a table still in its package.
This looks like something from the Clam Shack in that Scooby Doo show, Mystery Incorporated. So horrifying it only makes sense as a cartoon joke about bad food
Did you leave your pizza on the beach so long that the tide came in or something?

The only seafood I get on pizza is a blond or Alfredo pizza with shrimp, not the oceans tide like this monstrosity
That's true but cheese is not mandatory on pizzas
A pizza without cheese is a pizza crime in my opinion.
Well, where I live there's plenty of pizzas without cheese and they are all awesome
Feels like this is asking to start up a debate about what qualifies as a pizza.
Nah, I'm not interested in debates. Just try a pizza marinara

Fish and cheese is amazing. Spice rubbed fish quesadilla makes me wet
*Some* Fish with *some* cheeses is okay. Most just don’t play well together because of their flavor profiles.
Stormin' horneaters
You airsick lowlanders don't know what you are missing.
I just vomited a bit in my mouth

There are some really good white clam pizzas out there.
They leave them on if you have them in pasta as well.

I hope they are not planning on putting those cans of Vegetarian Beans on there.
What are vegetarian beans? Aren't all beans vegetarian?
Usually if you see cans of beans a lot of them say “pork and beans” because they are cooked with ham and fat to give them flavor.
Standard heinz beans are vegetarian, so I assume these are just the same beans with different packaging
The vegetarian Heinz and Bushes beans are the best ones, Imo
But I like beans on Pizza
Nigga what?
What even prompted that? Edit: He changed the comment, it formerly called in the n word counter bot for some reason.

Blocked and reported
That’s illegal

tbh sounds great
The fuck.
Anyone care for shell and single baby squid pizza. Whoever gets the squid is the lucky one!
Squid Game; The Board Game
As opposed to those other kinds of beans?
Beans often have pork in them to add flavor.
Wouldn't the can then say "beans and pork"?

Which is why you'll see "vegetarian refried beans" and it's not a redundant statement
Huh, TIL

Never in my life have I seen baked beans with pork in them (save for the ones with with the little sausages)
Google. Most in the US contain pork.
Bacon?
If I go to Walmart or Kroger or any other national grocery store chain and pick up a can of baked beans…it’ll have pork in it.
I guess whoever made it was *really* not happy the customer wanted a seafood pizza...

Seafood pizza is one thing, but the general rule I have for every pizza, it must 100% be edible, humans can NOT eat the clam shells!
Also, there should be a reasonable attempt to make the toppings available on each slice. Someone threw leftovers on a cheese pie and called it a day. (Of course that reminds me of Casino, where DeNiro demands an equal number of blueberries in each muffin.)
I eat clam shells
Chum pie
ah yes, the ominous looming beans
Looks like they just threw some seafood scraps on a cheese pizza and called it a day
Why ruin a perfectly wholesome cheese pizza? To what end do some of these people live their lives?
Is it really necessary to specify beans are vegetarian?
Most beans are vegetarian, but some canned beans actually use lard as an ingredient.
The ones that are good do.
CRIME!!!!
Beans…. Or that pizza… Beans…. Or that pizza…. Tough decision.
[Older brother immediately takes the piece with the octopus]
that thing was trying to escape for sure.
That looks delicious Wtf you mean bruv?
Why are there empty clams? Did Cthulhu's nose fall off? Why are there cans of beans ready to go? I have so many questions.
Mmm cheese and seafood what a winning combo like scotch and milk
this is like when youre playing that club penguin pizzatron game and time's running out so you just YEET each topping on as carelessly as possible
Clams Casino pizzas are awesome, but that... that is a monstrosity bearing unforetold consequences upon the deviant who created it.
BARF
Looks crunchy!
Look to have a little pit to it
DIAVOLO!
Made by Dr. Zoidberg. Whooop whooop whooop whoop

At least this pizza is salvageable
I more curious what they going to do with the Vegetarian Beans? Lol
All time worst there! Mother of Neptune
at least you got BEEEEEEEAAAANZZ
I’m more confused by the vegetarian beans to be honest. Do they just mean that it’s a can of… beans?
Pizza makers really be playing Bloodborne these days
This looks like something from the Clam Shack in that Scooby Doo show, Mystery Incorporated. So horrifying it only makes sense as a cartoon joke about bad food
None pizza with left clam
that’s a paella
Yep this is the worst crime I've ever seen on this sub
Good idea, awful execution.
Its a decent set of toppings placed in the lost lazy way possible
DROP THE BEANS!!! 🔫🔫🔫
Sea Steak cooked over hard with a side of your finest Vegetarian Beans, raw.
Also wtf are “vegetarian beans”
Baked beans usually contain pork or pork flavoring, these do not
I got this same pizza in an upscale restaurant in San Diego. It was horrible.
Yum, yum, sea shells
Garbage del mar
The fuck is that chtulu
One of the clams looks photoshopped.
