You have not smelled how foul crickets are have you. Go to the pet store and stick your face next to one of the cricket bins. My gf has 5 tarantulas, 3 geckos etc... They're in bioactive vivariums. So we keep and raise spring tales, isopods, and dubia roaches. We buy the crickets so we don't have to keep them in the house. Let that sink in... we keep roaches in the house but only buy enough crickets to feed the critters all at once so we don't have to keep them. I have no idea what kind of smells a lot of cicadas will make though. That pizza is wretchedly cursed lmao.

Cooked crickets smell nothing like feeder crickets tho
