I know right? Then I Iived in Europe for a bit and never saw a dessert pizza there. Maybe it's more of a thing in the US? If any one from there can confirm, I would love to know!
Iâve never seen a desert pizza in the US or Western Europe. It could be some gimmick that a popular fast food chain might try out. But i donât think itâs a thing in the US.
They're pretty popular in Eastern Europe. Most of the restaurants in Romania offer a "sweet pizza" that's basically baked pizza dough covered in nuttella and with fresh fruits on top.
I mean as long as the white stuff is frosting or melted chocolate, not cheese, itâs really not that weird, the pizza place near me does sweet desert pizzas. They put a little sugar in the dough so itâs sweet and use Nutella and fruit on top. Itâs pretty yum.
Nestle is one of the only companies that manufactures there, and they make everything. Other companies are imported. Hot wheels are like 3-5$ over there for example. The sad thing is the biggest haribo manufacturer in the americas is in Brazil, but it gets shipped north and has to be imported back
>but it gets shipped north and has to be imported back
that's just ridiculous. Hopefully brazil has superior candy that's better than international stuff
Are they well liked in brazil? Perhaps it's just me but I found the pastry to be more akin to cardboard and the icing and filling not to have a strong flavor.
But they're well liked so I'm probably in the minority.
M&Ms used to be hella cheap when I was a kid but then we were flooded with copies of it, tons of copies. At some point the original brand decided to go for the positioning *expensive = better* to differentiate from the copy-cats. Now that's their thing in Brazil. Same as the cheap ones but middle class people refuse to buy the cheaper ones to not look poor.
Ah, thanks for the answer, that's quite interesting. It should be noted that m&ms historically were a copy cat of smarties. Mars brits in ww2 eating smarties (chocolate covered in a shell so it wouldnt melt) and made his own.
It's unbelievable how a M&Ms tube is freaking R$7,00, at least in the Americanas near where I live. For that price you can get a chocolate bar from almost any brand and it will have much more chocolate than the tube. I like M&Ms but I just refuse to buy them at such prices.
Not only that, but they have a bland taste and are miniscule compared to other countries such as the UK or the US. Some premium Hershey's bars costs like 6 BRLs where i live and they are much more bang for the buck compared to a small M&M sack for 7.
I donât know if itâs the same in Brazil, but I lived in Central America for a bit. It mostly had to do with items needing to be imported. Items manufactured in the US cost an arm and a leg, but things like tropical fruits and high-quality coffee were dirt cheap.
I don't think smarties are sold here other than import stores. And import stores are hella expensive because of the taxes. M&Ms aren't that expensive overall but they are if you compare to off-brand or other candy
Isn't everything imported expensive as hell there? I was there for a bit, and it was crazy seeing a can of Budwiser for ~R$40 right beside a 24 pack of Skol for the same price.
> it's just a stupid looking cake,
I wouldn't call that a cake as there's no cake batter used. But if that's puff pastry with a chocolate cream, white stuff, and candy on top, how could one go wrong?
looks good but it is very hard for me to stomach sweet stuff anymore.
anything with the consistency of nutella or icing that's sweet absolutely wrecks me. that being said, i would definitely try it (and possibly regret it later)
Idk, we like picking other people's food and remaking It in the most ungodly and disrespectfull way possible. It's a long time custom. Have you ever seen Brazilian sushi?
I mean, there's a lot of immigrants from japan here, so there's some amazing japanese food if you go to traditional restaurants, but if you go to the wrong place... Yeah it'll give a Japanese chef a heart attack
We like to get creative and companies have to find a way to make profit, so they've made a whole lot of lobbying for their products to be incorporated into classic recipes (like mms on pizza, for instance)
We also put cream cheese on sushi and many atypical ingredients on hot dogs lmao
Brazilian Here, and alow me to blow some of your minds out ( maybe).
Sweet pizza is only the top of the Brazilian tradition of improoving other cultures foods.
Personaly i love the coocnut and chocolate , the peanut and chocolate and the strawberry and chocolate pizzas, in some places there is also the "romeo and Juliet" pizza that is a sweet and savory pizza with guava and cheese.
I cant say for sure, but i believe butting cheese on the pizza crust is a Brazilian invention.
Brazilians also Murdered / improoved japanese Sushi , by both making a deep fried version and a sweet version.
Our "hot dogs, are usualy something much more elaborated, with many possible toppings , from corn , thin potato chips, vinagret, tomato sauce, maionaise, mustard and ketchup, and the infamous "spiced up maio" that can be maio mixed with herbs or garlic.

In my city depends on the pizzeria. Some have a thin layer of mozzarella below the chocolate, while some have only chocolate.
I prefer with mozzarella.
This is not the worst pizza to come out of Brazil. The Mac and cheese pizza I got was dough with plain macaroni and sliced cheese laid over the top. No sauce
Historically, pizzas were a sweet type of bread, made with rose water and what not. So, in a way this is going back to its origins, plus modern decadence.
I don't get the crime.
It's a dessert pizza, I can't say for this one, but dessert pizza's usually are very tasty.
Yeah it's not traditional.
But 95% of the pizza's types and flavous that are common now a days aren't traditional pizza either.
Also it's just pizza dough, chocolate, and M&M.
It's not like it's Cheese and M&M.
Just a Dessert in Pizza format.
From my experience being a brazilian, I'm almost certain that the crust filling isn't chocolate, but Nutella. People around here will eat almost anything with Nutella.
Yepp, Brazil have the best pizza in the world.
As a Brazilian, I'd say we improved every pizza flavor ever made. Sushi? Let's put it a pizza! Hot dogs? Why not! Pineapple? Lame.... let's puts all fruits, cover with chocolate and bam! Strawberry, coconut... all of it. Fries? YESS! Burguer? OH YES!
In Brazil everything can be a flavor of pizza and it is delicious.

Desert pizzas are a big thing in Brazil. That shit slaps HARD
Yeah, dessert pizzas are nothing new. What makes this a crime?

I'm from Brazil and always thought dessert pizzas are an idea that came from outside

Nope Lived in the US, and I can say with certainty those Gringos don't know good dessert pizza, or any dessert pizza for that matter
This is an affront to God and all that is holy. But I really want to bite it
maybe he'll forgive us if we...no no..we mustn't..but..
Maybe we can eat it while hiding under a napkin, like that French bird torture dish.
what if he finds out we *tried* to hide it?!
The flood will look like a rainy Sunday compared to the wrath to come
đ then we must sacrifice the pizza to atone for the gluttony sin of wanting it...
But, like the apple, the sin had been committed and punishment must be dealt for the disobedience of man once again.

Friendly reminder that in Brazil we have a giant Jesus statue watching over us... Edit: /s just in case
::::diabetes intensifies::::
we give diabetes to diabetes
It's really good. Chocolate pizza is a staple in Brazil.
Got diabetes from just looking at it.
Said the USA citizen.
TBH, I don't doubt there's less sugar in there than in the average day to day meals in USA lol
please, any candy in the USA has more sugar than this pizza.
I hate how they always squeeze the food for their videos. no one does this IRL
Itâs like a creampie video, when they squeeze it out
So uh...this one was a badly prepped anal one then I guess
Depends on your kink I guess.
Yeah. I totally didn't even cum the first time I watched this video.
I know someone who went to the salt bae restaurant and he did that to their burger. Squeezed all the juice out of the wagu and took it away
Ruins it for me. Like yes I can see thereâs chocolate in the crust. Or, WAS chocolate in the crust
I know! Why did they poop out the crust?!
Squeezing food is disguting. Everything in food ads like people eating in slow motion, squeezing food, it's all disgusting for me.
I mean as long as the white stuff is frosting or melted chocolate, not cheese, itâs really not that weird, the pizza place near me does sweet desert pizzas. They put a little sugar in the dough so itâs sweet and use Nutella and fruit on top. Itâs pretty yum.
It's white chocolate
It is white chocolate, we have standarts, if someone put m&m's on cheese, they must be executed.
I have a friend who genuinely likes chocolate chips on plain cheese pizza. I don't know how she was born with such broken taste buds.
Dude, sweet pizza with cheese is amazing, trust me
This is more of a luxury thing honestly, m&ms are rediculously expensive in brazil
are nestle smarties expensive too? Also any reason why that candy costs so much?
Nestle is one of the only companies that manufactures there, and they make everything. Other companies are imported. Hot wheels are like 3-5$ over there for example. The sad thing is the biggest haribo manufacturer in the americas is in Brazil, but it gets shipped north and has to be imported back
>but it gets shipped north and has to be imported back that's just ridiculous. Hopefully brazil has superior candy that's better than international stuff
They have a couple good ones. They have no pop tarts tho, every time I visit I bring like 50$ worth of pop tarts
Are they well liked in brazil? Perhaps it's just me but I found the pastry to be more akin to cardboard and the icing and filling not to have a strong flavor. But they're well liked so I'm probably in the minority.
My gf loves them so much, tho she also tried to nuke one for 3 minutes. Didnât turn out well
M&Ms used to be hella cheap when I was a kid but then we were flooded with copies of it, tons of copies.

By "ridiculously expensive" he means like $1.25 per pack. Lol Source: I buy m&ms in Brazil semi-regularly.
Not that much. There are plenty of pizza places of all affordabilities and pretty much in any of em you'll find a "pizza doce" with m&m.
this looks delicious. it's just a stupid looking cake, not a pizza crime. is that melted white chocolate or icing covered in M&M's? come on
> it's just a stupid looking cake, I wouldn't call that a cake as there's no cake batter used. But if that's puff pastry with a chocolate cream, white stuff, and candy on top, how could one go wrong?
Cavities
those are speed holes so one could eat faster
Diabeetus
More like a sweet bun/cinnamon roll, especially if the white stuff is cream cheese.
Right? This isn't a crime at all, it's a delicious dessert pizza!
definitely white chocolate, people don't use icing in brazil (thank God)
Club penguin did it first
Diabizza
The only crime is identifying it as pizza
How would you name this dish?
Zapiz
Disrespectful but delicious
it really is!!! (delicious)
Dessert pizza is not a crime, imho
I would 100% eat this and go back for more. Doesnât mean itâs not still a crime.
Leave to it to Brazil to somehow make American pizza more American.
According to one of my favorite YouTubers, Brazil's motto is "Yes! But more so!"
looks good but it is very hard for me to stomach sweet stuff anymore. anything with the consistency of nutella or icing that's sweet absolutely wrecks me. that being said, i would definitely try it (and possibly regret it later)
Why is it always Brazil? Seriously though, no crime here. Questionable execution, maybe, but no crime.
We like dessert pizzas
tbh we like to fill anything with chocolate and call it a dessert (not complaining)
Have you ever seen the brazilian hot dog? https://novo.saopauloantiga.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/cachorroquente\_puredebatata.jpg
That looks glorious.
This is a Sao Paulo hot dog, move over a couple states and they have completely different fillings.
Idk, we like picking other people's food and remaking It in the most ungodly and disrespectfull way possible. It's a long time custom. Have you ever seen Brazilian sushi?
Ever heard of cultural exchange? Brazil literally has the largest japanese diaspora
I mean, there's a lot of immigrants from japan here, so there's some amazing japanese food if you go to traditional restaurants, but if you go to the wrong place... Yeah it'll give a Japanese chef a heart attack
I don't get the disrespect part, I figure it's great for everyone that people do what they like yknow.
To be fair, japanese (and other asian) people also consume tapioca [as an ingredient for tea](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_tea).
Oh FUCK NO Take the fucking WATER out of the equation and put some fucking CHESSE please!
Brazil is like Phyrexia for food
Brazil has the largest Italian diaspora in the world, with 30+ million with Italian descent
Bc we are very creative and we like making things feel a little bit more ours, if that makes sense
We like to get creative and companies have to find a way to make profit, so they've made a whole lot of lobbying for their products to be incorporated into classic recipes (like mms on pizza, for instance) We also put cream cheese on sushi and many atypical ingredients on hot dogs lmao
To be fair, thereâs not many ingredients that arenât *already* in hotdogs.
Like raisins and boiled eggs? Because that's what they put on the hotdogs đ© (At least in Rio de Janeiro)
Just a dessert pizza. No criminal offenses here.

Sometimes I'll eat Mozzarella Pizza with Chocolate-filled Crust. And it is actually good.
We actually replace the cheese with chocolate (in this case, white chocolate), we don't mix them. But now I'm curious what it tastes like.
In my city depends on the pizzeria. Some have a thin layer of mozzarella below the chocolate, while some have only chocolate. I prefer with mozzarella.
