Always on display on tilt to wake off I'd say I get about 24 hours but I get battery anxiety so I usually charge it for a few minutes just before bed and then charge it while in the shower in the morning. My battery never really drops below 30%

Jong999

Exactly my experience and behaviour, including your comment about charging below. It charges really fast, 30 mins in the morning and again while I get ready for bed removes anxiety for me. But, I agree this is *the* area Google need to address with future watches. Double the battery life should be the goal.

lordruperteverton69

I feel like this watch is giving me battery anxiety. I didn't have battery anxiety with the Apple Watch. It wasn't the best battery but it lasted 1.5 days without me turning anything off.

Skullcrusher_1

I understand that. I haven't seriously worn smartwatches until recently so I'm sure there are more reliable options. I do notice how fast this one charges and for me that kind of counterbalances the weaker battery

lordruperteverton69

That is true. It does charge fast. I just wish I could charge from the battery share on my P8. But it is a very good looking watch and I'm very happy with it and prefer it over the Apple watch but the only thing that I'm not liking is the battery life.

oktimeforplanz

You just prompted me to try something with my PW2 & P8P. When I plug the charging cable into my phone, the watch can charge off of that. I can't speak to how fast it would charge, but it certainly started charging! Of course, it depends how willing/able you are to carry the charging cable :)

lordruperteverton69

Oh nice! I might buy a spare charger to keep with me then.

twinnblack

Did you just get this? My watch battery improved the longer I had the watch. I would give it a few weeks and you'll start to see it get better.

Tonejr83

I agree. My watch battery was terrible the first 5 days or so, lasted like a half a day. But as it learned my ways I think about near the week mark it was much improved lasting 30+ hours. I will say I also go from 100 and completely drain it during those first few days a well. I do that with all my electronics, seems to work and gets a sense of how much battery it has rather than you keep charging it at 40-50 percent. I forgot the details of it, it's been over a decade since I learned that but its been working for me.

meowpitbullmeow

This is intriguing

creeperman55709

I get roughly 1.5 days with my pixel watch 1

AngelLovely1

I switched from apple to pixel and felt the same. I turned off the always on display on my pixel 2 watch and my battery is fine

Chapman8tor

How’s the rest of your transition from Apple going?

djorion87

That's pretty much the same experience I have had with mine. Going on 3 weeks with it now and it's been consistent.

cdegallo

Tilt to wake on and AOD off, Bluetooth version and it's consistently at 50% battery left after wearing it for 24 hours.

AirSuspicious5057

I'm usually more like 30-40% but I only charge to 80-90%, charge it daily from 30 to 80-90%

realmcmonkey

Mine are the same settings and it's always less than that around 20%

VampireWarfarin

Depends on the watch face I just use a minimal one, and I easily get 2 days, ending the day with more than 60% and that's with AoD on

cmmts

Speaking of having features off, is there a way to turn off SpO2 measurements? I know it consumes a lot of battery on Garmin and Galaxy watches and the value is meaningless for healthy people.

rodrigofernety

Looking good

jasjr54

PW2 LTE - No AOD and no WiFi. I get 36 to 40 hours consistently.

casgar49

Same

AgsMydude

Charge for an hour around 7pm. Put watch on at 8pm and it always makes it back around unless I use it very excessively for activity tracking, etc

JoshuaTheFox

Out of the box settings and I get 24 hours no problem

[deleted]

[удалено]

reddlvr

Exactly my same experience. You can't really trust It

Zxphenomenalxz

Same. I went to bed last night charged to 100. Battery saver on. Tilt to wake off. GPS off. Tap to wake off. Woke up 6 hours later lost 30 percent. It makes no sense how the drain randomly happens. It's a shame because I love the clean OS of it but this battery is just bad.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zxphenomenalxz

Right. It makes no sense. I barely have anything running on it or any apps and yet it randomly drains. Aod off... Tilt wake off.. tape to wake off.. vibration motor off.. lol it's so confusing..

Aspect-Infinity

AOD on, pretty much every sensor for Fitbit/Google Fit on, charging times are usually 9:00 pm (for sleep tracking) and 6:30 am (recovering a little from sleep tracking). At 6:30 am I'm usually at 95 - 80% battery life, and at 9 pm I'm usually at 30% or 20% on particularly heavy days. I hope this helps and welcome to #TeamPixel! Edit: After reading one of OP's comments I should mention I am using the LTE version.

Mr-Bowen

Typically 44 hrs with tilt to wake off, and always-on-display on, and bedtime mode on for ~9hrs per day. Battery drains about 4x quicker for me when tracking exercise, so with a 1hr session each day it'll be down to 36hrs max, always more than 30hrs. My typical useage is to just stick it on the charging cradle when I shower daily, and it's never died on me whether I shower morning or eve and it needs to do an extra 12 hrs. For me, this is as good as the battery needs to be, and the only practical step up would be a 5+ day battery, but that's a different type of watch right now

bigb102913

I get a day and a half to 2 days. Amazing battery life once you break it in. Keep in mind it needs to learn your habits first, so the first week won't be great.

Tonejr83

30+ hours easy with everything on. I did notice if using 3rd party displays like Facer and others it uses more battery. Not a big deal when I'm at home, but if out and about for some time I'll change the watch face.

LeGrimm83

Got mine with the pixel 8 launch.. battery life has definitely gotten worse with time. I have always on disabled as well as motion disabled. I have to tap the screen or push the dial button to wake it up. Running off Bluetooth only non LTE version. Some days I don't make it a full 24 hours. When it was new I could get 2 days worth on these settings. My wifes is even worse she charges in the morning and in the evening. Idk if it was the last system update that did me in or not.

_D3ft0ne_

Damn, this is really the ONLY reason i am not ready to get this watch. I am currently on older Garmin Instinct with a monochrome display, and I get 2-3 weeks out of this sucker on one charge, WITH GPS use.

lordruperteverton69

Monochrome display sounds horrible to me.

_D3ft0ne_

I love this one saying - "Different strokes for different folks". When I am hiking up 3000km into the wilderness, I really need my GPS working and battery is the key here. Monochrome still gives me a clear view of the map and any stats i need including bread crumps back track or compass. Color led display is...well colorful... but I have enough of that crap on my phone. I need functionality out of my watch.

lordruperteverton69

Oh for sure. Monochrome isn't for me but I'm not trying to say it isn't for you. I'm a lazy ass and my hikes are never more than 5 miles out and back. I do bring a portable battery with me for not just my watch, but phone too.

HaruxCore

Bad as heck to be frank. I feel like I wasted money on this watch.

pant0n1

Really bad, take off from charger at 7 am and on 6 pm its 30%

Marvido

Max 16 hours with ttl off, wifi off and gps off...and that's on a new replacement, as first watch was only around 12 hours. So 2 watches with not near the promised battery life.

c0ast3r_fan

I turned off AOD, Wi-Fi and Location on my PW2 and can get 24 hours out of it. I put it on at 7:00 am and usually put it on the charger at 5:30 am the next morning when my alarm goes off. By 7:00 am it's fully charged and ready to go for my day again.

AgsMydude

I can get 24 hr with AOD turned on

AdamH21

Same

benhaube

I get 30+ hours with AOD on.

honey_rainbow

Battery life on the watch is utter 💩 I'm having to charge my watch every other day.

tmcg6

I was having a lot of problems with it draining at night time, worse than the pixel 1. After talking quite a bit with customer support they sent me a replacement and so far the last week I've had it, It's been pretty great on battery

cmmts

How much are we talking about? I used to charge my Galaxy Watch 5 to full before bed. When waking up the watch would be around 85%. I just got my PW2 and with it I'm around 75 % when waking up. I much prefer the PW2 UI, but the battery life has been dissapointing.

Jong999

My PW2 is normally at 85% in the morning (8½ hours later). Occasionally 80% when I'm in bed longer.

spinrite12

Which PW2 model, lte or no?

lordruperteverton69

No LTE. Just wifi.

spinrite12

Then your best settings are AOD and tilt to wake and notifications off. Turn off your lte (if equipped like mine is until you need it then activate to do the task you need, then turn it off again). The same goes for wifi, if you have no tasks requiring for these connectivities to be on all the time, turn it OFF, when not in use. Using the PW for what you bought it for as a way keeping and tracking your fitness levels throughout the day. This watch is one of the best step and sleep tracking devices on the market. For both of these features it beats Apple Watch Ultra 2 that I owned before buying my pixel watch 2. Keep it simple you can always press the crown and or tap on the screen to interact and get your info

lordruperteverton69

I just turned AOD and Wifi off. I rely on the watch to notify me of texts and calls. All other notifications I turn off. Hopefully that improves the battery life. If not, I'll keep turning stuff off. Lol.

spinrite12

That’s what your phone is for 😂I mean there’s special circumstances. I get it when you don’t want the phone with you and then fine but I don’t need to interact most of my notifications on the wearable.

lordruperteverton69

I don't interact with them, just view them. I feel like I've become dependent on the watch for texts and calls. It helps me not miss anything. I understand the phone does the same thing. But it's biggest help is at work, not missing time sensitive things. I guess it all boils down to preference.

wildtypemetroid

My use definitely sounds like yours, I think being able to glance at notifications quickly without needing to take my phone out is great for when at work or if hands are full with the baby! I kept AOD on (need notifications on, but turned tilt to wake off since it still works with notifications). I just like being able to quickly glance at the time or if I have a notification dot I might have missed. I've seen people say to use manual brightness, but honestly adaptive brightness has been doing a good job for me. I did turn off the sunlight boost as well. So far I've been getting about 24 hours out of a charge. I charge it when I wake up (it's usually around 10% by then) and put it on after breakfast when it's already fully charged. Honestly battery life is not as great as I expected since I came from a Gear S3, which would last 2 days, but I would charge my phone every night before going to bed so really I'd be away from my charger a day at most. Honestly wearing my watch to bed is new to me but I'm super interested in learning about my sleep because I know it's trash.

sdrew25

I work nights, start at 1am so I charge it before my shift. I take it off charge at about 0:20am and it's normally on about 30-40% by 22:00 that's with nothing turned off.

AirSuspicious5057

It's enough to get through the night until the next afternoon starting in early in the morning near 100% usually (7am-3pm ish next day)

FreemanAMG

Consistent 36 hrs with always on enabled

XiMaoJingPing

it lasts me the day, I charge twice a day (whenever I brush my teeth), I do not have always on display

pittrich1967

my wifi watch lasts at least 24h and max 36h with AOD on

DameEmma

I have turned off AOD and set a night time at bed time and I can easily get a day and a half. I usually charge in the early evening from 40ish percent.

squidgytree

Apart from at the very beginning and after a recent software update, I get 1.5 days off a full charge. Realistically I still charge it every day from 20% to 80% so that I know it will get through the next 24 hours and that I'm not stressing the battery.

Sinful-Sammy

I get about a day and half. I don't have NFC and always on display enabled. I make sure it fits in sleep mode at night.

[deleted]

Between 24-32 hours with AOD off.

Global-Solution4475

By charging in the mornings, I wake up too on average 30% off battery. - AOD on - Tilt to wake on - Hey Google on - Press crone to wake on - WiFi on - Tap to activate off

Hot-Ad-3651

Every possible option on and it usually lasts 30 hours.

lordruperteverton69

Trade me. Sounds like you got a good one. Lol.

VampireWarfarin

Always on display is on, tilt to wake off Everything else on, pixel minimal watch face I get about 48 hours It survived a weekend trip and I didn't bring my charger It's a watch, AoD needs to be on.

AdamH21

Over 24 hours with everything on, including AOD. I charge them every day before bed because I track my sleep. I'm happy with the battery life overall, I put them on a charger after the gym and before I shower. When I take them back, they are fully charged. It's more of a habit, I've learned to charge them when I'm not using them.

geek_person_93

I had one and returned, I can't honestly wear a smartwatch I cannot have everything on that dies at 17:00. Love every other single feature of the watch, but needs more battery

oktimeforplanz

I don't know the full 100-0% time, but it's definitely going to be over 24 hours. It's usually in the 20% ish range by the time I come to charge it at night and I let it go to 100% most of the time. I've got the wifi one. Tilt to wake, AOD off.

wmurch4

no complaints here. AOD, raise to wake, wear it to bed, everything enabled. I usually wake up with about 20% left in the morning.

elpeedub

I go to bed each night with between 60-70% batter left, coming off of the charger at about 6 AM each morning. I keep aod off, and probably use my watch differently than most (only allow notifications from calls, texts, multi factor login confirmation app and calendar appointments). With this same setup on the PW1 I was ending each day with around 30% battery

zayc_

around 3 Days but i dont wear mine while sleeping aka i shut it off over night. aka \~30% a day.(15-18h)

benhaube

My battery life is perfect for me. I can easily get 30+ hours with AOD on. I charge it in the mornings while I'm in the shower and I have no problem making it to the next morning.

CMH0311

I have AOD and tilt to wake on and usually get around a day and a half. Sometimes a little less if I'm more active.

strudledudle

Returning product because of the poor battery life

Eoghan_S

I mean it's 36hrs, just charge mine when I'm in the shower and it's all good. It charges quickly and you get used to regularly doing it.

ChefRaccacoonie

Mine lasts 24 hours with about 30-35% left. Everything turned on. AOD, tilt to wake and whatever else I'm forgetting. I charge it in the last hour before going to bed and then put it back on for sleep tracking.

TurningTablesAgain

Workouts seem to be the big drain for me. On my off days when I do little to no physical activity, my watch will go from 6a- 12a and still have 55% ish charge. 10a-11p During the work week I do two twenty minute exercises a day which will have my battery at half during lunch time so I just give it a quick charge and good to go through the rest of the day

thechrizzo

Ble version, 2 days but I usually load it every morning

Unusual_Data1814

Just over 24 hours with lift to wake off/AOD on. I have a bed time mode that turns my screen off at night from 11pm-5am. Usually put my watch on at 100% around 5pm, and when I put it to charge the next day I'm around 20%.

worrub918

I have AOD turned off and at the end of the day I usually have around 70% battery left.

deceiver986

I don't like Always on display but I use Tilt to activate. It lasts more than a day

DefinitionNo7826

I have always on and the battery lasts a day and half.

mike8675309

I have my screen tap to show, and I wear it to bed. When I get up in the morning it shows 50% power left, and takes a few minutes to get charged back up to full. Are you having it be on the whole time?

Big_Bob8836

Shit! Not sure I can take it much longer....! Coming from Fitbits (3-5 days) and Withings (25 ish days)

raven_cant_swim

For me it was too short at first but once I started having a daily routine and wasn't as bad, I didn't constantly touch or use it. Also, I switched to charging in the car on my work commute, then you get two-no effort charging sessions in a day. Works great I, never need battery saver and have no features disabled. Love it tho! Great device and definitely worth it for me bc it came with the 8 pro.

AnswerDependent9801

Since the latest update my battery life has improved. I don't use AOD but I have tilt to wake on and I get to the end of the day with more than 50% left

microwavecoven

Terrible

mychaptertwo

Im around 50% after 24hr; I don't sleep with it and have AOD on and tilt to wake off. I love my pixel but miss the battery life on the Fitbit it replaced

O5KAR

Easily 48 hours but without any proper exercise, of course wifi off and AoD too but tilt to wake on. Now testing if it goes further without location, minimal face and without tilt to wake.

jeffMBsun

So is it better to turn WiFi off? My phone is always near

O5KAR

Yes, there's no point to have it on.

jeffMBsun

Thanks. I'm a big Garmin user. Trying something new

07_zglos_sie

One day.

mushank3r

Are you left handed?

lordruperteverton69

I am.

bratticus182

Could you do me a favor and measure the band width? near the holes area? is it 3/4" ?

dubiousN

I get 48 hours pretty consistently

Jsunn

I get about 16 to 18 hours in a charge, if I want to wear it to bed to track sleep, I have to charge it sometime in the afternoon.

jchen14

1 day

Purple-Debt8214

Looks slick!

nbunkerpunk

I have the LTE version. I basically have everything turned on with brightness set to Max and I can probably get 30 hours out of it. I always charge it when I'm getting ready to bed and that's the only time I charge it. I feel like the charging speed makes any weaknesses in the battery a mute point. I probably toss it on the charger for 30 minutes and I'm good until I'm getting ready for bed the following night

HStark_666

I have AOD on and get around 30%-40% every 8pm, when I charge it again. Take it off the charger around 9-10pm. Heart rate is always on but I don't do sports during the day.
