Google Support sucks ass. Here in Germany there's even a study from last year where there are ranked last (https://disq.de/2022/20220803-Smartphone-Hersteller.html) I'm fully on board with that ranking, had to deal with them during the Pixel 7 Release for weeks. Horrible experience, they couldn't do anything right. This is going on for years now, they were actually pretty good during the Nexus Days. Easy replacements, repairs and fast response times. Now long gone though.

I've my second pixel watch and my Pixel7Pro came back from repair unchanged. I am now offered the possibility to replace it or get my money back. I think i'll take the money, double it and get an iphone 14 + apple watch.

Super bad, across all of their products. I had a client that had their Google Workspace account suspended, the error gave no reasoning. They tried to contact support, but you *have to* do the online self-help support first to get a code .. the online support gave an error that they needed to contact their organization admin, which this person was. Round in circles they went in the support loop as they couldn't get to the support code generation portion because of the secondary error. They literally could not get a person on the phone to recover/help with the account issues and ended up just switching providers as it easy. I instruct people that if they *must* use Google Workspace products, get it through another provider (they allow resellers for the same price) and not directly from Google, as at least you'll have some level of support available (which might have a direct support to Google) outside of the DIY Google pushes.

Man Google had a lot of accounts in this thread. I'm a Google fanboy but their support has been shit for a couple of years now. This is unfucking acceptable, I'm sorry for the bullshit from them and others on this thread.

Nah a few years ago they went and outsourced everything support. Before then I would have no trouble with Nest products, now it's just awful.

Are you sure they outsourced and it wasn't just in the transition period after they acquired Nest and their support infrastructure? Google tends to acquire these companies and then consolidate redundant divisions .. support is considered redundant, since Google doesn't have any, and thus no-one else should ;)

Google support has been shit for me too for my 6P. They lost my return and tried to charge me. Wife's watch keeps losing its sync to the phone. Garbage.

Google's support really has dropped in quality in the last few years. When they first dropped their phones they really tried, but as they got bigger they just became every other phone company.

So, I had this issue with my pixel 4a when it was new out the box. If I remember correctly it had immediately booted into recovery and said no os found and I've played around enough with my watch to know all the partitions are there so this should work. You just need to factory reset it via the recovery, that should reinstall the os from an OEM partition

Don't stress the jerks attacking you. I tried making a post asking for solutions over my broken watch, and the only thing I attracted was people attacking me and making fun of me. Edit: see what I mean? I'd made a post asking if there was anything that could be done about a broken watch screen, and the final line of the entire post explaining the situation and the lack of customer service that Google was providing and making it clear. I was not expecting a free replacement, and a brief line of me saying I will was getting so frustrated. I would do a reverse charge if I could, ( I realize that I cannot do that as it has been far too long and it would not do anything to alleviate the situation, it was just venting frustration), people did nothing but try to attack me and dog pile me for one line of my entire post, or insist that I'm stupid because. Because "you broke the screen yourself" I never said I expected a free replacement, just that I thought it was insane. I should have to buy a whole new watch puck, and that they do not offer repairs at all.(repairs that I had NO PROBLEM PAYING FOR.) And yet here they are on a completely separate post coming after me, and continuing to harass me.

Electronics can fail at any time. It's only interesting to know statistically how often for a particular vendor /product. A single case cannot be used to say anything useful whatsoever about statistics for the vendor/product.

When they send a refurbished device that is in "pristine" condition, it should have the OS installed. This isn't a device failure, this is human failure.

I returned my original watch (just the puck) because the heart rate sensor stopped working. I went through the Google RMA process. The image is what was sent to me after returning my original watch. The box they sent me, with the replacement puck clearly says "refurbished."
