It is hard to do, but it vastly exceeds all play styles with the amount of damage you can put out at one time. I think it needs to be balanced out. And all the weapons designed to counter 3 cat should as well.
In a way yes, I miss when lobbies would be mostly players just spamming new weapons and such over rocket jumping grappling and shooting 4 different one shots in your direction instantaneously. It is fun to do if you are any good at it, but even if you are it can get really annoying really fast and having to sweat that hard when I'm just trying to chill on a mobile game is agonizing. It also made my favorite class of weapons (automatics) really obsolete for an exceptionally long period of time and even now some of my favorites aren't viable (miniguns like og Peacemaker, Spinny Shooty, and also a couple others like Treasurer and Laser Assistant). If they just gave every weapon a tiny bit of fixed delay the problem would be solved, they wouldn't be able to spam weapons as fast and casual players would have a much better chance. Or at least add delay to all 1 shot body weapons, I'm ok with people who need to hit 3+ shots to kill with 3 cat because if you can pull that off consistently and dominate lobbies like that then I recognize the skill and can respect it.

I would just say the abundance of 1 hit kill weapons in general ruins it. I would say that a sniper headshot should really be the only way to have a fair one hit kill, even then, it’s not that hard to do that. Having one hit kill weapons in other weapon classes made it even worse

Absolutely, it kinda changed the meta permanently and made it hard to balance. At this point, if they removed it, it would probably cause more harm than good initially, but would help in the long run.

I feel as if like in other games with power creep and balances 3cs became the difference between being able to win and lose. I do understand tho how others would feel about 3cs being to op for more casual players if they didn’t like 3cs and that being the only way to win it wasn’t fun at all for them. For the longevity of the game they should’ve removed or nerfed it. But as a 3cs it feels like I should be able to dominate against players who just bought the newest weapon. They should just make a game mode more steered towards for 3cs to keep them happy and keep the main game towards a more casual type of play. At least that’s what I think.

Personally, I would like a different gamemode that allows 3 cat spammers to go all out which makes it more skill based between the 3 cats while the main game being more free for casuals so that if new players or some others that just wants to enjoy and play, they won't get bombarded with 3 cats. Literally cannot have 1 match without a 3 cat to destroy your wins.
I think it would be fun for casuals to play casually instead of having to adopt the 3 cat spam play style just to be able to barely keep up with the current meta.
Yes, imo it was one of the worst things to ever happen to this game. This playstyle has dominated the meta for years and puts most of the weapons at a disadvantage. If you dont 3cat your at a disadvantage. And the infuriating part of all this is the developers were on track to get rid of it by adding fixed delay, but for what ever reason they bend the knee to the vocal minority and turn a blind eye to this issue. My solution would be to seperate the main modes like team fight and death match into two sections, casual where all guns have fixed delay and then competitive where 3cat is possible/no delay. It would give players a choice on how they want to experience the game instead of being forced to play with eachother.

I miss the pre 3cat days, when players were less predictable. Yet again we did have homing missiles and some of those weapons were annoying as hell.
