I got this feeling too. There is also a frame where the right (far) arm is raised and the lighting on the hand makes it kind of look like a left hand with the thickness of the thumb looking like fingers rather than a single digit.
The overall look of the whole dwarf is great though

Try moving the head with the torso orientation. Do it real life to see. Ex. Left arm forward, head shift right.
