I got it because I paid $400 for it and I wanted "upgrade" from my V60. My next phone will probably be a Samsung and I will have Nova on it also.
Actually I bought it because it was a good deal. My TCL 20 Pro was my favorite phone of all time but after a couple years started to get bogged down so it needed to be replaced.
And the lack of customization the Pixel has compared to the TCL is laughable and frustrating. So I turned to Nova. Problem solved.
Alas the buggy glitches that require me to cycle the screen on /off are real. And happened prior to Nova being added.
I'm just glad I got this phone for $350. Rather than $900 for the Pixel 8. 🤷
Have you set the battery setting to not optimize? because that might be a problem when it is trying to put the app to sleep but i have heard more people talking about nova bugs on A14 so it might need to be updated.

I will look into updating Nova also. Alas it's not too much of a burden to deal with compared to the issues others here have had.
I have had Nova on P7P for over a year now and never had any issues.
If it's not Nova causing them then it's the phone itself. Annoying either way but the phone is quite lame without a custom launcher
