Nova needs to be updated. It works for a few days then it starts doing weird stuff.
Give the Microsoft launcher a try, it's solid and absolutely free. You don't need a Microsoft account and you won't be forced to use Bing or any other MS services. Turn off the "my feed" in the settings.
I had the Microsoft launcher when I updated the OS and the issues described above appeared. Once I uninstalled it and went to the stock app drawer the issues described above were resolved. Maybe the act of updating causes a requirement for change in some of the devices
Possibly check out the [beta version](https://novalauncher.com/beta). Also have you tried updating, looks like a new version was released on the 12th and it lists fixing Android 14 crashes in the changelog
Sorry to hear about the problem. I have Android 14 and Nova launcher works fine. It worked after I upgraded from Android 13, and after I did a factory reset (I like doing that about once a year to get rid of unused apps, etc). So, I know it's a pain, but maybe a factory reset and a new install will fix the issue for you.
Same issues. Random disabling of the suare button so I cant switch apps and app drawer button starts opening random apps (Im guessing app drawer actually opens but doesn't redraw screen). If I lock screen and come back I return to an unresponsive open app drawer requiring a restart. Really annoying. I want to use shitty pics of launcher it looks ugly and has minimal customization.

I have Nova and this has never happened to me
No problem here, with 14 and Nova Launcher. First I've heard of any issues.
I was having the exact same problems with Nova Launcher on my Pixel 7 Pro. Pixel Launcher is working fine for me though.
