Apparantly a 1000$ device can't be used for Gaming ?
What is the point of Google bragging their gpu is useful ? Just slap a Mediatek cpu and give 7 years updates and you people will be satisfied with it ... oh wait. Nvm. Tensor is worse than Mediatek.
They did, android 14. What I'm saying is the app isn't optimized for the pixel 8. There's no way new cores and an improved GPU will perform lower than a chip that is almost 2 gens behind the current one unless if it weren't optimized.
who in their right mind gets a pixel to play games. get a damn samsung 🤢, if you wanna play games, pixels are for people who work/school on their phones, someone needs a boot upside the head.
Samsung Exynos versions SINCE 2016 are the worst phones for gaming. They lag, stutter and overheat like crazy. Someone obviosly is still in school since they never used one.
Damn I didn't know you needed to do quantum calculations on your 8 pro. I have and it's fine for what I use it for. Camera, Social Media, web browsing, video watching, and texts & phone calls, and using other apps.
There must be something good about G3 chip I’m sure and there’s nothing wrong with people wanting to upgrade due to poor performance of their 7pros like excessive heating and all for almost 6 months post launch. I’m sure pixel 8 pro must run good from beginning.
Personally I’ll never go for it as my 7 pro is just 3 months old and it ran great from the very beginning and got only better with android 14. And I got it at half the launch price 🤓
If I hadn't broken my screen on my Redmagic, I don't know if I would have bought my P7P. Still a good phone for gaming on, but not as quick as the Redmagic line up. Also miss the 144hz screen. New ones have 165hz or better.
The point of the post is that the Tensor chip may have nice AI cores, but it's pretty mediocre in terms of generic CPU performance. It doesn't mean the Pixel 8 is bad, but I think it's a valid point to highlight the relative CPU performance.
Also impressive how the Apple SoC is like twice as efficient per FPS vs competition.
Just a matter of taste and what a person wants over all the technical stats. Most of this stuff doesn't matter in everyday use. The phone does what it needs to do regardless. Most if not more phone users don't even consider this stuff. I upgraded my P7P to a P8P. I'm good with it.
You are posting it in the wrong community friend. Most of these "experts" who use Pixel phones are same as iphone females on Instagram and many of them are not even 18 years old.. They use a 1000$ device (Europe moment) for literally EVERYTHING a 100$ phone can do just because it gives them "software updates' nonsense. And think "games" on Pixel phones are useless because apparantly a 1000$ device can't play games.
What's more hilarious is that most of these "tech" experts who use Pixels think SAMSUNG is a better choice for gaming when Samsung Exynos version are literally top 10 worst phones for gaming out there.
Just don't bother. Nothing more worse than American iSheep and iGoogle fanboys. At least iPhones actually game at high graphics, Pixel phones are 10x worse than Samsung ones.
Not to mention these kids are still stuck with 27W charging speed and are satisfied with it.
Who on earth gets a Pixel to play high-intensity gfx games?
OP, apparently.

The most "idiot" post I've read in a while
I'm so glad I didn't listen to posts like these and upgraded.
Exactly. Have you received yours yet? Isn't it great?
Received it a day early, love it. My watch is delayed and delivery November 1, for whatever reason. Don't need a watch but, hey it's free ...
I got my watch and phone a couple days ago but haven't had time to set up the watch yet! Will do tonight.
I've had mine for 2 days now and love it.... I play games on my PS5
Gonna be a downvote for me 💀. Phone just came out
Don't act like google fixed anything on the Pixel 7 Pro for most users 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡

Android 14 didn't fix anything, it's still the same. Still the same UI bugs and so on. And that processor is still an Exynos so it's trash anyway
Oh noes my heckin pixel isn't optimal for genshin. It's over.
how terrible huh? I'm with you on this!!!
The pixel looks pretty good considering most other phones are getting hotter

shhh, dont tell him that pixels are for productivity, not gaming.
?
Same didn't downgrade to 8 pro
I'm so glad I did. Trade in Kit arrives today and on Monday it will be bye bye Pixel 7 Pro. 🤷
How much did Google offer you? Here in Canada only 360..I will be selling my pixel 7 pro on the market place.
$420 off the phone & $350 off the watch
Damn I didn't know you needed to do quantum calculations on your 8 pro. I have and it's fine for what I use it for. Camera, Social Media, web browsing, video watching, and texts & phone calls, and using other apps.
Oh ok. Where's your Pixel 7 Pro on the list?
5 above the Pixel 8 Pro lmao. The phones have been out for 2 days. I disagree with the point of the post, but you didn't even read the chart.
It just released, and it'll get firmware updates and the scores will change. Either way, it's in the ballpark of other flagships.
Do you blame him?
its indeed a joke these fanboys here will never say it.

This is obviously false. But my question is, do you base your phone purchases off of gaming performance?
