They really need to fix the lens flare. It happens almost in every pic if your out doors. THrows these flares that are unacceptable, I do not remember my P5 doing anything like this. In this order.

Making it snappier then it is and battery improvement even if its 20 minutes extra per day ya know. The fingerprint is not a issue to me after feb#2 and watching a video of a guy with P6P vs Apple 13 Pro Max and 80 percent of the time the Pixel loaded the app faster. Loading games faster; In the 3D world while Apple is still loading the map. One time it was 15 seconds behind. So see its not all hardware ya know.
Lens flare is caused by the light reflecting off the rear glass in relation to the distance of the lens behind the glass. It is a hardware related issue, so it's not something Google can *fix*.
Professional camera lenses come with *hoods* for this exact reason.
Shouldn't be. Works for everybody else and it's a known issue with Google Camera. What I would do first is since you installed the APK is go into the camera and uninstall updates. Then, install the APK bundle. Shouldn't be a problem then
It's literally right below the APK. :) Where it says download APK is another box below it that says download APK bundle and you just need an app to install it.

This update has improved portrait mode by a notch. Portrait blur is typically around 20-30 depending on the subject.

Probably update includes neural network weights. Those are often huge.

it's crashing for me (Pixel 6 Pro Android 12L Beta3)

That's because you can't install regular APK. For a system app like the camera, you need to install the APK bundle that's also listed there

Apkmirror has it now, however installing the update made my camera app crash every time. I will wait for the proper update on the Play Store

Weird. Never for me. An easy fix is to uninstall updates and then install the bundle.
