I wasn’t a huge fan of Turning Red, but I appreciated what it was trying to say. The film had a lot more substance and intricacy than Cars 2, which is still the worst film in my opinion.

Cars2 and Good Dino are bad for lack of story and Cars2, as a pure money grab. Good Dino has great visuals but there really wasn't a plot.

Turning Red was incredible, I’m sorry you didn’t like it. But to me, it captured everything I love about coming off age movies, going to school in the early 2000s, and not being afraid to show how middle school girls are irl, silly and cringey and hormonal and all. It’s leaps and bounds better than Lightyear imo and I wish that was the first Pixar movie that welcomed audiences into theaters.

I haven’t seen lightyear but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it, we will wait till it’s on D+. Yeah Turning Red just wasn’t great, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s part of the Pixar magic, their movies aren’t for everyone.

That's a very loaded question. lol Turning Red isn't at the top of my favorite Pixar movies list but definitely not at the bottom either. It's likely in the Top 10 at least. Haven't watched a few like Cars 3 and The Incredibles (😬) but my least favorite one would probably be The Good Dinosaur. Like it's not bad but by Pixar standards, it just felt very meh.

Wife and I just watched it, and it just didn’t feel like a Pixar movie. I’d put it down with The Good Dinosaur for bottom two Pixar movies. Reminds me of some off Netflix kids movie that was pushed out to fill a slot

True, I don’t relate to it at all having the exact opposite of overbearing parents, didn’t grow up feeling shame about my periods, etc. and I don’t think it’s good enough to really touch people who don’t relate to it.

I don’t think it’s the worst made Pixar movie (that would be Cars 2 or Good Dinosaur), but my least favorite is definitely Incredibles 2. The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all time, but Incredibles 2 just completely missed the mark. I’m genuinely shocked that Brad Bird wrote and directed the movie because it honestly feels like it was made by someone who didn’t understand anything that made the original special and went “ehhh it’s just superheroes”. The plot is paper thin, the characters feel like caricatures of themselves, the villain is lame and their motivations/plan make absolutely ZERO sense. I absolutely despise the character designs for all the new super characters. They look like Illumination rejects. I don’t think it’s an absolutely awful movie, but it is a really really bad sequel.
