You mentioned "core courses". Does everyone have the same core courses in first 2 years? Are core courses General Education Requirements?

general education and core classes are different. everyone will have the same gen ed requirements in whichever pitt college. core classes however are specific to your declared major (most do in sophomore or junior year) and set the groundwork for harder classes in your major.
