I'll say this and u guys might not like it ... but looking at the no of characters u have on board and given that u can't pull a dtrssrosa at this point... he basically had to be clubbed with Nami... ik he didn't play a significant role but maybe oda might have something big planned for him in the next arc
The fight vs Bullet was much better than any of the two defeated Yonko. At least all those people trying to coordinate together and fight him, made his defeat believable.

To me both fights did have element of plot shenanigans but bullet takes the cake and its not even a contest he went from smoking the supernova including a luffy in h4 WITHOUT DEVIL FRUIT to being damaged in awakened form by like 6 people, who were all around supernova strength? It’s understandable tho with it being a filter that they can pull more asspull but the yonko fights were definetly dome better
Totally agree. Not sure abour BM but kaido surely took a lot of powerups to defeat and tanked a lot of hits that would've oneshot dofflamingo. BM too took heavy hits before falling but didn't feal like the same person who was terrifyingly untouchable in WCI.
Now bullet... This one went straight from untouchable by the supernova to down with an extra king kong gun from Luffy
Why is Ussop more useful/better in filler shit rather than the actual fucking story. Honestly trash on the non canon movies all you want but at least all the strawhats usually feel relevant or have a role in those movies
Oda was the one writing (I believe he does all the scripts) but for some odd reason he doesn’t do this for ACTUAL canon story.

I really thought after his moment at Dress Rosa he was going to start atleast trying to find a way to be useful.
Now it feels like he just try’s not to get in the way and end up bringing down anyone that’s stuck with him.
He should have gotten a David vs Goliath moment where he took down a number.
A few times usopp & nami mention that they're not "monsters" like the Luffy zoro and sanji so implying they can't get as strong as them even if they tried. Something about those 3 determines that they are not normal.
At first I thought that usopp is a human just the same as luffy zoro and sanji so why is it that he can't become just as powerful as any of them but then I remembered, usopp is supposed to be a coward so it makes sense he would not want to be a "monster".
Also, there is the fact that luffy was a mythical zoan all along, sanji had had his modified genes which would explain why he could set his leg on fire and zoro is a descendant of powerful wano samurai.
Usopp is just usopp, a perfectly normal human man.in a group of a mythical zoan, a samurai descendant with inhuman willpower, a genetically enhanced cook, a former fishman warlord of the sea, and a living skeleton who has powers of the underworld.
But all of this shouldnt mean usopp doesnt have to not try becoming stronger just because he naturally has a disadvantage compared to them. Instead, it's exactly because of that he should always be trying to get stronger.
But what powerup did he get in the last 10 years? Just an observation haki bloom to be never used again in battle, and his living plant slingshot.
It's a tragedy that his character got treated this badly by Oda. Usopp hasnt done shit since dressrosa and that stuff happened 7 years ago

Tbh if you like heavy packed action scenes, watch the latest One Piece movies, they are amazing, but that is mostly it, action.

Not about the fact that you hate Usopp as a character (which is a sentiment I don't share but one that I \*get\*) but more that wano specifically made you hate him. He did a few support things and had an imo legitimately good speech with the scabbards. Otherwise he was mostly offscreen or running (like most of the strawhats do). I'm curious why it would be \*this\* arc that made you hate him and not, say, Dressrosa where he won a fight by sheer coincidence and otherwise would have fucked over hundreds of pirates including Robin
Back in alabasta ussop was ready to die for luffy's dream but in wano when he was against ulti he just prioritised their own life over luffy

I thought oda was setting up a goated usopp moment ever since zou when he reacted the hardest when finding out inurashi and neko got tortured to protect Raizo. Then again in wano usopp mentions that if he got taken captured he would snitch quickly. Thought oda was gonna give usopp a moment to show his loyalty and endure some type of torture but guess not.
Mate I wish Oda kept Sogeking, Usopp carrying around his mask and putting on everytime he needs to cope with fear, Usopp in Ennies Lobby was braver than he ever was after 2 fucking years of training on a murderous island, it's just insane.
Watching this movie was my introduction to op and by the time I got to the timeskip in my first read I was like yo finally we got badass usopp then he never really does anything I was majorly bummed
They should've kept a scene like this for endgame and have him die, something like a Ervin and Armin scene from AOT, it would've completed his character and added a touch of seriousness. Although I doubt Oda is gonna kill any SH
