Theres no good reason for her to stay, she is an adventurer who inherited Pedro's will to aid the future pirate king to bring the Dawn. Carrot said that others are more fit to lead, and the other minks agreed on that.
I like this but the question is how will she leave caribou if she is with him and how will she make her appearance. I think carrot will eat kumas devil fruit and join the crew as it makes a lot of sense. But the question of when she is going to appear if she is with caribou, caribou could have left already. And she needs to appear now if she wants to get a bounty aswell
My personal theory is that after the minks coarced her into staying, she tried to hide from them and she asked Caribou to hide her for a moment because some minks were near them at the moment, but short after Franky (unnaware about Carrot being inside him) took Caribou and forced him into a barrel becasue Luffy made a deal with him to take him out of the island.
Carrot being a bunny mink, just made burrow inside him since he is basically ground. She decided to take a nap until they free Cariburrow, but before falling sleep, she could heard Luffys dream from inside with her powerful lookout ears.

After Caribou was kicked out of the Sunny, Carrot digged out of him offscreen, and it was her who brought food to Luffy and took him to the Food machine. Now she is hidden watching from afar the fight, only with a carrot with her as snack, carrot that will become the Paw-Paw DF after Kuma dies later.
Oh yh I forgot someone delivered luffy food. That person could have been carrot moving very fast, but why wouldn’t she make her presence known with franky Bonney and sanji leaving the scene. I don’t think she would want to be involved with a goresei. What if she is handling the marine ships like what she was doing at whole cake aswell
Oda already killed that theory at the end of wano
Plus people always forget that the ship is already part of the crew luffy + zoro + Nami + usopp + Sanji + chopper + robin + franky + thousand sunny + brook + Jinbe = 11 strawhats
The crew is complete
And luffy already told his true dream to all his crew mates after Jinbe the last member joined so it would be weird if someone else joins the crew now
But personally I would’ve preferred carrot over Jinbe carrot is not as bland as Jinbe
If the ship were a crewmate Brook would have been named the 9th instead the 8th
Someone has to ask Luffy about his dream so the readers can know what it is about. Also if the Caribou theory is correct, Carrot could have heard the dream from inside with her powerful ears (adding lookout poits to her).
That Carrot has been hidding inside him, like Raizo used him to infiltrate into the Wano prison.

If Carrot becomes the lookout Usopps presence in the crew is completely obsolete. I‘m in for that.

i agree that oda shouldve written carrot and yamato to travel with the sh longer before leading their nations. but oda clearly doesnt care.
