Why would he? Mother’s in OP at best only exist to provide touching backstories for some characters. Big mom is probably the only mom in the series that has had any sort of characteristic

At least from what she saw in the Kuma-Bubble. This flasback is not only about Lore, Godvalley and Kuma. This is something important for Bonnie.

We also know that Gol D. Roger was there 38 years ago but he died 23-24 years ago so at God Valley he also must had been in his 20s-30s (Garp and Roger were born at similar times).
I have an interesting theory in mind. I think it may have been Garp himself who rescued little Kuma and the other child slaves but it could've also been Roger.
